STAY AWAY! Vehicle was in the garage in the first week. I was told my service history that the vehicle was advertised with would be sent to me for over a month, only to be told it’s not coming at all, so I’ve massively overpaid for my vehicle. Customer service is nonexistent!

Disgraceful company. I purchased a 3 year Old Ford transit custom from this company in December 2023, with all the photos and spec looking amazing. I told them I wasn’t in a rush to pick it up before Christmas and they said they would get it all checked and serviced with a full valet and that it would be ready early to mid January. Then a day later they said it was ready to collect, I thought that’s great, they work fast! Upon arrival after informing them the time I would arrive. The van was not at the garage but at the compound where they keep sold vehicles. So a worker drove round and to collect it and drove it back. When it arrived I instantly noticed mud around wheels, a plastic trim not clipped in properly, the rear right door was stiff to open which the worker suggested I try wd40… the belly pan was hanging down and missing 6 bolts and had a tear. The seats inside the vehicle were still wet from where they had clearly tried to rush the valet and pick up. The worker did say it wouldn’t be a problem that if I contacted them in January when the garage was back open, they would sort these issues out. So I took it away. After 3 weeks of driving the vehicle I noticed a knocking noise so decided to get in touch with SR Motor group. They came back and said they can look into it and will get back to me with dates to book it in. After another day of driving the van, the knocking got louder and then turned into vibrations and rattling. Therefore I decided to take it to my local garage as I need the van for work, being self employed, I rely heavily on it. My garage checked it and found that the passenger side drive shaft was broken and the inner joint has completely collapsed. They advised me that if I had driven the van for one more day, I may not be here today. This van either has not been checked or has been checked and SR motor group have decided to not mention any of the problems. They have shown extreme negligence and are still yet to offer me any dates to book the van in. Even after telling them about the drive shaft. They have also put down that the last service was carried out on the 22/12/23 which is impossible as I collected the van on the 16th! I have been without my van for 10 days and have lost work. I have asked them to carry out repairs on the original problems and to carry out a new MOT and service. We’ll see what they say! If nothing is done I will be taking legal action. DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS

S & R motors Blunsdon , Swindon is a dishonest and terrible company, should not be in business but Karma will get to them . Too much to explain but they take your money and then don’t want to know about any issues with the car . I hope you are reading these reviews BEFORE you are about to buy a car from them and change your mind , unlike us who read the reviews AFTER foolishly handing over our money to these crooks for a dangerously faulty car . Sam is a nasty aggressive little man as well as a money grabbing crook , stay away from this seller and these people, believe me, it won’t end well .

Bought a Peugeot 308 from SR Motor group around a year ago. When the car arrived it had superficial damage to it so I contacted them straight away and they repaired it. A couple of months later,(still under warranty) the car started to feel like it was jumping up the gears and the engine light came on. They advised me to take it to have a diagnostics at a local garage. The light had gone by the time I got to a garage to have the diagnostics but it showed one issue which wasn’t covered under warranty. The car continued to drive okay for another couple of months and then it began to feel bumpy when changing gears again (automatic) but was now out of warranty. We took it to a Peugeot garage and ended up having to pay £3000 worth of engine repairs. Some issues which could have arisen as part of wear and tear of the car but the mechanic at the Peugeot garage agreed with us that the issue of the ‘jumping gears’ was likely there when we bought it and had become worse. I contacted the garage to explain the cost and could we discuss and come to an agreement but we were told nothing could be done. We were also sold this car with ‘stop start’ function which has worked about 5 times in a year.

I bought a Mondeo from them It started breaking down within a few days it took six weeks before they had the car back to look at had it for a month gave it back saying it was fuel filter 2 weeks later it almost killed me and family on the m6 they had it back for 9 weeks not one single call from them nor would they return my calls eventually was told to pick it up or I would get charged storage the car was parked under a tree covered in crap flat tyre and no fuel they haven't got the right diagnostics and they refused to send it to Ford now left with a massive bill I'm not sure who I'm more angry with them or myself cause I got the feeling they were conmen from the start

I have read a lot of the negative reports on here about R/S motors and some rather derogatory comments about the sales team
Well I travelled 200 miles each way to view a car then the same again to collect it The staff both Simon and Naz were brilliant and I cannot fault the car
So I would recommend them to anyone

We bought a Nissan X-Trail from Darren at S&R Motors and have had a great experience. We emailed late the evening to see if we could test drive the next day and they replied quickly accommodating our request.

The car was as described and in good condition. A couple of days later a warning light came on for a start/stop fault. I contacted Darren and he immediately reassured me and said they’ll help sort it out. It turns out to be a battery issue where the car hasn’t been used for a while, totally beyond their control as the warning light didn’t appear until we’d driven it around a bit. We dropped off the car and it was fixed within the day. Great service and will happily use again.

Bought an Audi A4 from a sales person called Simon , they serviced and Mot the car before I collected the car , would highly recommend to friends and family, 5 stars to the team.

Where do i begin...............What an absolute shambolic company. Purchased a Volvo XC90 for over £23k. Put down deposit and sorted out my finance. From that moment on all i've had is problems. First instance was The car had to be put through its pre inspection (not a problem) had to wait over a week as garage was supposedly very busy? (probably dealing with the numurous other complaints?) Waited for phone call..............Nothing! Chased it up and after again numerous calls was told that car had an issue and had to be sent to volvo to be checked over.
Initially thought ok going to a main dealer so at least its going to be sorted properly even though dont quite understand why you dont make sure car is ok before putting up for sale???
Moving on.......Waited ...........and waited.........Guess what.Nothing.
Once again myself doing the chasing eventually get through to Simon who was supposedly dealing with my car (i use supposedly very losely) Oh were still waiting for Volvo to get back to us......................This is 4-5 weeks down the line.
So questioning why i hadnt had a phone call I was told that they hadnt heard anything so didnt bother calling me to which I replied do you not think a little courtesy call would be a nice gesture? The response was,after me saying its unacceptable that if i didnt like it i dont have to buy the car.
At that point i wish i wouldve told them where to go and cancelled the agreement but actually as i like the look of the car etc I bit my tongue and carried on waiting. Was told itll be another week so thought id waited this long so another week wont hurt. Approx 3 weeks later again me chasing not one call to me from the garage, bearing in mind i was told by them to even call the volvo garage as it was clearly too much bother for them, i get a call to say its ready.
Drive from Windsor to Swindon to pick car up..........Sort out paperwork and go on my way......
Drive home and halfway home engine management light comes on.........Phone call made and oh bring it back and we'll look at it straight away. Not really sorry we'll come and collect it as its a bit of a journey and you've waited so long. No take time out from work and drive all that way back costing you for fuel in the meantime.
Get to garage and they take it and give me a courtesy car. ok at least ive got something to use..............Get in car and has a fault come up as soon as you turn it on no fuel at all in car so had to go and put fuel in again costing me money.
2 weeks passed with me again chasing without a single call from Simple Simon and me calling the volvo garage got told the car would be ready on friday. great i thought. Theyll collect it on friday and i'll get a call to come and pick it up.

Called the Volvo garage on monday to see if ready and was told that the garage was told on friday it was ready.
Now.......Turned up at garage asking what was going on? Why wasnt my car collected?
Response was they wanted to drive the car around to make sure was ok (fair enough to a point) but waiting so long and knowing how enraged i was (not that they were bothered) Not even offering once again to drop car off so costing me even more money and time.
Picked up car got to near home and once again engine management light came on. Now part of this is down to volvo garage i understand that but seriously......
Anyway contacted garage once again and response firstly was "this is why we didnt call you until we had tested it".
Lets be honest you wouldnt have called anyway as you havent done in 3 months of me calling.
Outcome is i still have a problem with my car. Its been 10 days since without any call or email.
If you want to buy a quality used car...........Avoid this garage like the plague. With regards to Simon the salesperson, well what can i say except maybe you should maybe look at a career change

Do not buy from this company,only had the car 3 days and noticed severe oil leak which they’ve tried to cover up,going to cost 2 grand and they have ignored this problem,absolutely shocking customer service and my finance company are looking into them,do not buy a car from them

If I could, I would score them ZERO stars. Once they have got your money, they do not care. They sell cars with faults and missing parts, they promise to deliver the missing bits and that's it. You won't hear from them again. Do not be fooled by their sweet talk. Look elsewhere to do business with.

Cowboys who jump through hoops to sell unchecked cars then slam the door once you have paid. Do not be tricked by blah blah sales chat I am sure they just valet them and resell… I will make them regret this ..

The car purchased is a Mercedes C Klas, it was offered as a 100% checked without faults, picked up one day after the M.O.T test.
A few days later, I reported the sports mode switch not working, which was fixed. During the repair, it was damaged gear stick cover.
I bought a new anti-theft key And a repair kit for headlights.After getting the promise to repair the lights and the ABS sensor .The car was taken back to a garage recommended by the seller.I also wanted to add that the light mounts were completely broken and shone in different directions, the right headlight was completely not attached. After a week I picked up the car in even worse condition The ABS sensor was not replaced because the alarm on the display disappeared (it reappeared after leaving the workshop).The headlights looked even worse than before the repair, there were gaps in which you could put your finger.The front bumper was installed incorrectly. The car was dirty and covered with a greasy substance similar to oil. I contacted the seller And I informed him about everything.The seller said early on that he sees no problem with the headlights, that they work and it's just an aesthetic defect. I informed him that I wanted to buy a car without faults. He became more and more aggressive and dissatisfied that I had any grievances.
I bought the car six weeks ago, half of it was in the garage and practically nothing was repaired. On the contrary
To sum up .Cars are not inspected before sale, the seller wants to get rid of the cars and hopes that no one will come back or notice the defects
This is an outright scam on the buyer who trusts the seller that everything is checked and buys the car in good condition. I hope that my opinion will help you decide to take advantage of their offer I do not recommend.

I bought a Kia Carens from this dealership.
Was told its all checked over and informed we have a warranty for 3 months for engine and gearbox.
After the 1st week the drive belt and crank shaft seal broke paid £340 to have that fixed. We could hear a noise from the car which was there when we bought it but were told it’s normal. We had that checked out and were told its got a faulty fly wheel and estimated cost is £3200 as may need clutch replaced too.
My husband called Simon and wasted a week informing us to give him a week as the Director is away then another few days and he will let us know. Only to be informed that its not engine or gearbox so warranty does not cover. !!
I am absolutely disgusted and upset as took out a loan to buy this car. £11500!
We are considering legal action now against them. But warning people to be vigilant or best advice would be to keep away from this deceitful company. They sold us a faulty car and not taking any responsibility for it now. This all happened in the first 2 weeks!! They provided us with paperwork ticking all the boxes. They didn’t even service the car! We had the filter changed and the oil .
Please stay away from these crooks !
We have to now pay for solicitor and cant use the car in the meantime. And pay over £3000 if we decide to have it repaired. !!

Absolute disgrace of a car dealership ,bought a car for £8000,master cylinder went 20mins after leaving the garage,then when fixed more problems started appearing,phone call after phone call,lies upon lies,I rejected the car within my 30 days,took another 2 weeks of calls and emails before car was picked up and I was promised a refund within 24-48 hours,to receive an email from Mathew to say as far as they are concerned car is fine,I went to consumer rights who gave them 14 days to respond,no response then on the 14th day,I had keys put through my door and the car left outside my house,with 2 guys speeding off round the corner,only to then receive an email to say I was in the wrong,don’t contact them again,don’t go anywhere near,pure scum,they should be shut down.

Purchased car in august 2022.. paid a Chunk of deposit and also remainder on finance. After a couple of hundred miles and about two months later, the Car broke down and was towed to the garage by the RAC. it took three long months of constant chasing the garage and dreadful communication to be told constantly that the car was being fixed. Had to keep paying the finance finance, tax and insurance on a vehicle I didn’t have. After a couple weeks of asking they gave me a piece of crap courtesy car that didn’t work properly and looked like a sheep had died in it..I stopped driving it after a few days as I didn’t feel safe. I had to get the finance company involved to get the car rejected as it was simply not getting fixed. . It took almost three months after the car was towed in before this was agreed and in this time , the car was never fixed.. too much more of the story to tell but one hell of an awful, stressful time through Xmas, new year and my wife being hospitalised. Wish I had never stepped foot in SR motor group garage.

Go with a company registered with a motor trade association to protect your rights.

They did not honour the consumer rights to return the car. Kept the car to fix it right upto the day before consumer rights expired.

Took money out our account they were supposed to put in. Had to raise a dispute with the bank.

Was spoken to in the most derogatory manner.

Should have seen the complaint with trading standards to the end but it was breaking the relationship.
