Southdowns Insurance services Ltd is a General Insurance Intermediary located in West Sussex. We are licensed and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our authorisation allows us to arrange and assist in the administration of non-investment insurance contracts. You can check our entry on the FCA website at www.fca.org.uk. We currently provide sales and service support for an International General Insurance Intermediary but also offer our own products underwritten by within the AXA group. Our sales and service agents are experienced, knowledgeable and efficient, dedicating equal time and attention to service and query calls as they do to quotations and sales opportunities. We aim to provide a service that we can be proud of and one that we would wish to receive if calling or e-mailing into the office ourselves.

Great service

Great service, really quick and easy to fill out the forms. Covered all my health needs at an excellent price. Feel very confident in traveling knowing I have extensive insurance cover. Overall excellent 👌

Absolutely horrendous customer service!

Absolutely horrendous customer service!
They are appalling! Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!
If you need to make a claim, you are lost! Every call ends with a "sorry, wait another 72hours and we promise it will get sorted!"
Right!3 months later you are still in the same place!

I had a very positive experience with…

I had a very positive experience with Southdown Insurance. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain my options clearly. They made the whole process simple and straightforward, without any pressure. I felt confident in the cover I chose and appreciated the honest advice throughout. Excellent customer service from start to finish — I would highly recommend them.

Acting immorally

We are extremely disappointed in the service we have received - we were notified that our existing European annual policy would be auto-renewing, but as we were due to travel outside of Europe this year, we took out a new annual global policy, to replace our existing European policy.
They gave us the new annual global policy, however, 2 weeks later proceeded to renew the European policy without notifying us, whilst we were on our holiday (outside of Europe). As a result, we missed our 14 day cooling off period, which we are only now just aware off, after coming back from our holiday.
So in conclusion, the company knowingly sold us a new policy, whilst continuing to renew our existing policy, with the knowledge that we would never be able to claim against both policy's in the event of a claim.
This specific act and the level of service we've received following it, feels dishonest and immoral, that the insurance company have knowingly took money from us for something we will never be able to receive a service for and now aren't in a position to cancel the auto-renewed policy and offer us a refund. After speaking to their customer service team, both me and my partner have felt very unsatisfied and unhappy with the experience and feel discouraged to ever use them again.
