The worst I've ever experienced, absolutely awful. Please never take out a policy with this company, they will string you on for weeks even after 'accepting' your claim and never pay, worst customer service ever giving you fake promises.
Auto- renew feature that you need to opt out of.

Absolutely awful. Avoid at all costs. They drag out your case and you cannot speak to a claim handler. We are reporting to ombudsman now as they are awful service.
They don't cover anything! You can't even drive a car abroad or do any simple activities. There's no option to add any on, and they won't refund. I wish I'd read the reviews, complete waste of money... Don't waste your money. Choose a better company.
Worst experience. They will drag your case so long that you will get frustrated and finally leave the hope. Don't recommend it to anyone.
Do not use. Claimed for phone screen to be fixed after paying gadget cover.. provided all evidence and receipts back in September they keep asking me to re send.. still no payment nearly 4 months kater. Really dire conpany and sevice. AVOID.
I strongly advise against purchasing travel insurance from GetAwayCover or their administrator, IMG. My experience with them has been incredibly stressful and ultimately a waste of money.
I returned from my trip on 12th August and discovered that both of my suitcases were broken. In the rush of getting home, I didn't notice the damage until I arrived. I reported the claim to the insurance company immediately.
The issues I faced:
• Delayed Communication: Despite reporting it immediately, it took them over 3 days to respond to my initial contact just to ask for more details.
• The "48-Hour" Trap: After months of back-and-forth communication, they finally declined my claim. The reason? They required a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) from the airline within 48 hours.
• Impossible Requirements: Because IMG took more than 3 days to reply to my initial report, by the time I knew I needed a specific PIR, the 48-hour window with the airline had already closed.
• Poor Administration: IMG is extremely slow to respond and seems to look for any technicality to decline a legitimate claim.
This company will waste your time and leave you more stressed than when you started. If you want an insurance provider that actually helps when things go wrong, look elsewhere. Do not buy from GetAwayCover or IMG.
i took travel insurance with this company. I lost my luggage and had a police report. I produced all receipts however they would come back with excuses to avoid paying up. The lesson i learnt from this is never go with these small companies as they look for reasons not to pay up. never again
I had a very simple claim for a doctor's appointment in Spain. I provided all the information that was required online, and the company sends you an automated response and never replies to you. The claim number idea was given for the website. It never worked, so it was impossible to check on the status of my claim, and it's impossible to contact the company in any way other than their contact form. Do not use this company. I've had to accept the loss on my insurance because they're not going to pay you. They've made it impossible to contact them.
This travel insurance is a nightmare to deal with. My broken luggage claim has taken months, and every update takes over two weeks to process. The claims process is overly complicated, making it very difficult to actually get paid. I would not recommend this company.
