Just returned from a 14 day trip to Peru 🇵🇪 and Chile 🇨🇱 booked by South American Vacations. I must say from start to finished they did an outstanding job. Everything was what was promised. All we had to do was show up and we are experiencing the culture. Shout out also to Viajes Pacifico in Peru and CTS Turismo in Santiago and Maururu Travels in Easter Island. Very punctual and friendly drivers and guides. This is our first time traveling to South America and we really really enjoyed it and we learned a lot about the history and culture. We will surely utilize South American Vacations again in the future and also recommend them to friends and acquaintances. Thank you very much!!!

Our vacation was organized by SAVacations. Martha and Alan put together a very hectic schedule within a short notice. Our tour guides never failed to meet with us on schedule. The hotels where we stayed were very nice. Accommodation in the ship for Galapagos was excellent. The meals were sumptuous. The guides were very knowledgeable and safety conscious. We have traveled many countries. But Ecuador and Peru were unique. We will go back again. Of course with SA Vacations.

We had an amazing time. Courteous staff, punctual group, at most professional guides, as well as wonderful coordinator (Martha and her husband) organized an extraordinarily exquisite journey for us and handled all our issues including misplaced valet (which was my own fault and creation)with state of the art and world class care.👍

This trip was pretty much all inclusive. Pick up and delivery from every airport and tour. The guides were not only quite knowledgeable about their subjects but seem very passionate about it. Our highlights were the Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu and Rapa Nui. All of our expectations were met. Several days of in depth background on the Moai in Rapa Nui, Machu Picchu is actually difficult to describe as it is so beautiful, and the Galapagos were filled with all sorts of animals which when tied into the experience on board the ship, made it wonderful (even got to snorkel with turtles and sea lions)! It was a long and hectic trip but we are so glad we did it.

I worked with SA Vacations to plan an extensive trip for my clients. Martha was incredibly professional, patient and prompt. She quickly answered all my questions and was patient with changes that my clients made. These clients are frequent travelers and raved about their vacation as one of their best ever. Pricing was the best we found. Thank you to Martha and SA Vacations - I highly recommend them.

I traveled to South America with five of my friends.They were used to using Smithsonian vacations and were leery of trying another agency. However, we liked the itinerary better and traveled to the Galapagos and Rapa Nui (Easter Island). We traveled on the Galapagos Legend and had a great time. Our trip required numerous flights and hotels but everything worked out perfectly. The hotels were wonderful and our guides were always there to collect us no matter what time we arrived. Ultimately thanks to South American Vacations we had a wonderful time with no problems. I would highly recommend booking your trip with them.

I used South American Vacations for a trip to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands. Every aspect of the trip was attended to and every detail thought through in advance. The guides, drivers and hotel personnel were professional and dependable. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

My time was perfectly managed...downtime when rest was logical and on the go to see the key sites with qualified tour guides. Glad I chose 5 star properties and utilized private tour guides! Love it that the tour guide made sure I had no problems getting checked in for flights. Loved Rio and Buenos Aires but Iguazu Falls was simply amazing!

From the time we 1st spoke with them about what we wanted to do until trip concluded they provided1st class service every step of the way. Trip was 5 star. Everything went as planned. If you have ever considered Chile for a vacation then I would definitely use South American Vacations!

We had a very good experience with South American Vacations.
The package offered (Machu-Picchu & Easter Island) was about the right length to be able to enjoy the areas if you have limited time (e.g. 2 weeks). The South American Vacations team was very responsive and addressed all our questions and concerns. Their partners in Peru and Chile provided us with an excellent service. Several options provided for accommodations and tour services, we took the 3 star options, and everything was very good in all the places we visited. The size of the tour groups was a concern for us, as we do not like big groups; our groups were not bigger than 15 people.

This is my first time with South American Vacations and my first time joining a tour with everything dealt with online so I was a bit nervous at first. But Martha was very responsive and answered all my queries promptly. The forms and payments were all professionally handled. The documents (itinerary, voucher of services paid for etc.) given were also very clear after everything was paid for and confirmed.

I had a wonderful trip (2 weeks Ecuador and Peru with 5 days 4 nights on Legend Cruise in Galapagos) and am very thankful everything went smoothly. It’s been my dream visiting Galapagos and Machu Picchu and it’s so nice to have my itinerary all planned out and all miscellaneous fees like entrance fees taken care of, saves a lot of trouble! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you SA Vacations!! :)

Traveling to foreign countries and not familiar with the language, it was invaluable to have travel agencies escorts and guides. Escorts meeting us at the airports, providing transportation and English speaking tour guides was a huge asset. This support added security and comfort on the trip. The networking of agencies all contributed to a wonderful trip. Cudos to South America Vacations Inc.

We loved our trip to Quito, the Galápagos Islands, and Peru! The staff at South American Vacations were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We were taken on wonderful, informative tours and stayed in very nice hotels along the way! Martha at SA Vacations was very accessible for questions before and during the vacation and of course we had a great time just seeing the sights in Ecuador/Galápagos and Peru. This was one of our favorite vacations that we’ve taken! Very well organized and an overall great experience!

Martha & Alan Cohen at South American Vacations (savacations.com) planned us the PERFECT trip to the Galápagos Islands, Machu Picchu & the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and the Amazon!! Everything including accommodations, ground transportation, flights, tours, guides, meals, etc was incredible and flawless! They made our trip so easy & stress-free...all we did is show up for the fun! Thank you for all the wonderful experiences & memories we made on this amazing, once in a lifetime trip!!

The trip was amazing! Local guides were wonderful, especially Jose who guided us through the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu and Cusco.

We booked a trip to the Galapagos Islands and Machu Picchu with Martha at South American Vacations and she did a great job. Everything went exactly according to plan which was very impressive considering all of the logistics that were required for this amazing trip. All of the guide and transfer personnel were professional, knowledgeable and on time and the all of accommodations were top of the line. We requested several changes in the schedule and itinerary and Martha made them quickly and she provided excellent suggestions as to the best way to accommodate our needs. We definitely recommend South American Vacations and will use them again in the future.

I decided to take a bucket list trip & contacted South American Vacations. They set everything up including all air fare. I can't say enough about the package they put together. All the tour groups were very professional & courteous. The accommodations were very comfortable & I was always picked up on time for all tours & transfers. If you are looking for a S American experience, I highly recommend South American Vacations.

A heartfelt thank you for putting together such an excellent Chile/Easter Island trip for my husband and myself in December. While I generally book travel independently, we don’t speak Spanish and had never been to South America, so we opted for a tour, which Martha customized for us. We are glad we did.

Everything went absolutely as planned, with no hassles, which speaks to the quality of the local operators used in Chile. We appreciated the ease of being picked up at the airports and at our hotels, and it made us feel secure to have gracious and knowledgable guides in a country where we do not speak the language. They had deep local knowledge to enrich our visits. Being with a guide meant quick answers to our questions, and good advice for our “free days.”

The Easter Island native who provided three days of tours shared much about the culture and politics of the region. His personal stories (and sense of humor) brought the ancient sites alive for us. The island was beautiful and fascinating — we had not expected how relaxing it would be as well.

Our CTS guide in Santiago was also excellent; his one-day city/winery tour covered a lot of the city. Several friends had warned me about the high crime rate in Santiago, but the area we stayed in near the Singular LaStarria was pleasant and we felt safe. On our free days, we enjoyed visiting the seafood market, Plaza de Armas, the Pre-Columbian museum, the Fine Arts Museum, and Bellavista, all of which were walking distance for us. The hotel’s breakfast buffet was amazing; pastries, cheeses, fruits, smoked fish and meats, plus custom-made egg orders brought to your table.

In short, SA Vacations put together a great tour.
