I recently purchased a flat with Sash Windows-installed windows, and I was looking to transfer the remaining insurance to my name. The insurance letter clearly stated that this could be done for £180. However, when I contacted the team via email, I was suddenly quoted £400 instead.

When I disputed this price difference, I was told that they hadn’t changed the price for the past 10 years but had now increased it. How is that relevant to me? The fact remains that I was initially informed of a much lower price, and now I’m being overcharged.

I called to discuss the issue and spoke with Jake (operation manager), who said he would speak to the Accounts team to see if anything could be done. I even offered to pay a higher price—but not £400, which is an absurd amount for a simple name change. Jake assured me he would look into it and get back to me, but he never did.

When I called again today, I was met with a dismissive response, essentially telling me that £400 was the price and that it was my problem if I didn’t want to pay it. This is unacceptable customer service.

Overall, my experience has been extremely frustrating—poor communication, unhelpful support, and unfair pricing. I would not recommend this company based on how they handle their customers.

We chose Sash Windows London for three replacement windows having seen their work at a friend's property, and it was the right decision. First-rate service from initial visit to completion of installation: this is a company with high quality products and great communication skills. The installation crew, Gary and Matuesz, were skilled, polite and punctual, and did a lot of hoovering before they left. No hidden extras, and we couldn't be more pleased with the end result.

The installation team were exceptional. From the moment they arrived they were professional, efficient and showed respect for our home by ensuring the floor and furniture were protected. The attention to detail was excellent. The new sashes were fitted expertly and the room was left clean and tidy. Despite a long day the team, particularly Andrus, kept smiling and only left when they were happy every detail had been attended to. Thank you- to Calum for taking the detailed measurements and ensuring the sashes matched the rest of the building, to the team who made the new windows that are mm perfect and to the installation team for your hard work, precision and after care.

Very happy with the new windows. They're really high quality, the installers were excellent and everyone I've dealt with has been helpful and friendly.

From our experience I would thoroughly recommend Sash Windows London. They replaced all our existing windows in a Victorian terrace within a week and with the minimum of disruption. We are very happy with the new windows which are big improvement aesthetically and practically. Also the service was excellent throughout the whole experience.

From the start James the sales rep was brilliant and Jake who managed the job after was also great. The whole process has been seamless. I would totally recommend this company.

The moment we talked to Calum, the sales representative at the Sash Windows London showroom on St John's Hill, SW11 we knew that this was going to be the company to use. We needed to replace seven Victorian windows in our Battersea home and the whole process has gone seamlessly and we couldn't be happier with the result. The team who installed the windows were professional, careful and a joy to have in the home for four days.

We had a good experience with Sash windows London up until installation. All the teams we interfaced with (including the installation team btw) were really nice and friendly. It was quick to get the measurements / surveys done and the team were helpful in accommodating our tight timelines to finish before Christmas.
However we faced multiple issues from the date of installation. Although the installation was done to good standards and was super quick.
1. We had newly fitted carpets and we had requested multiple times that the installation team cover and take care of them but unfortunately the teams did very little to protect them, staining them at any non-protected points. Luckily I had put protection on myself before the installation teams came in otherwise I will have had to most likely replace the carpets in the entire house. They did send the team back to clean the carpets but the shades of staining remained.
2. We had requested switching glass types just after the survey and were told this will be accommodated only to find out after installation that it wasn’t and the reason being the team had forgotten to communicate back to us that it was too late to switch and that there is an additional charge.
3. The ironmongery on windows was completely mismatched and when we discovered after installation and asked the teams to replace (and while they did replace eventually) we found that there was no real match in any options. This was not at all mentioned at any point before the installation and we had no choice but to go with mismatched items at that point.
4. For all the troubles and mistakes made the team made zero effort to offer any discounts or anything as a gesture of goodwill (and I even asked for it multiple times) which I found quite disappointing as a customer.

I can’t recommend Sash Windows highly enough!

I live in a converted warehouse originally built in the 1800s, with huge timber framed arched windows. My old frames were warped, windows were difficult to shut & panes cloudy where the seal / argan gas had blown. Very draughty and expensive to heat given high ceilings, despite re-sealing around the exposed brickwork.

One company had quoted £6k to just repair my windows. Luckily, Sash Windows came recommended by my next door neighbour. The quality of the product is excellent. They’re not cheap at £10k. But buy cheap, pay twice.

I have recommended Sash Windows to many neighbours, and the property management company because the communal windows need doing aswell. I should work on commission!

The windows installation ran smoothly Monday 10th Feb. I was working from home, and the team were courteous, professional and efficient. They touched-up a small scratch on the vent. Removed a mark on wall. & even fitted a light bulb in my kitchen ceiling. Above & beyond!

This week Sash Windows completed the installation of all the windows in our typical Wandsworth terraced house - great job everyone!

The windows are beautiful, high quality and have changed the whole house for the better - not only aesthetically, but in terms of heat loss.

The team who worked here were highly skilled, professional and always worked to a high-end finish. They also left the house clean and tidy.

The team make it look easy, but it isn't. The measurements, design, planning and sequencing is thorough, and the installation works smoothly because they're highly skilled.

My only regret was not asking them years ago!

James at Sash Windows London was the sales representative who visited, I chose this company because out of 4 companies who quoted, he was by far the professional and genuine. My instincts did not let me down, the windows were delivered and fitted on time and I am more than happy with the standard of the product. The fitters were polite, efficient and they cleaned up after themselves.
I must say, I was reluctant to replace my wooden sashes with UPVC for atheistic reasons, but they look fantastic and my neighbours have not even noticed hat they are not wood.
I highly recommend.

Double glazing can be both costly and confusing, but Sash Windows London made the process much easier. Their London store showcases a variety of models, which really helped us visualise our options. The customer service was excellent, guiding us through every step.

We had one of our windows customised with an arch, and it turned out beautifully!

Overall, I highly recommend them. If you're unsure, visiting their London store is a great way to get started.

I was pretty apprehensive about getting new windows since it's a big decision and a large amount of money. I got a few quotes and went with Sash Windows London Ltd because the person who came to do the initial inspection, Bryn, was very personable and explained everything with very minimal pushy sales tactics which I had received from other companies.
It wasn't the cheapest quote I got but the reviews made me feel reassured and being able to visit the showroom was super helpful and the woman there also explained everything very clearly.
After booking the windows in and paying the deposit all communication by email was clear and they were very responsive, this has continued throughout.
The installers, Mirel and Ivan were great. They were very polite and approachable and did a fantastic job installing the windows generally. They cleared up very well themselves so there is minimal tidy up for me to do which is ideal.
The windows themselves look fantastic and seem to be a really high standard and fit perfectly.

2nd time for me, had back windows done six years ago. I still got three quotes but chose SWL based on my previous experience. Front windows done, already proving their worth. Front bedroom still warm despite radiator not working. Excellent service, great products working together for customers.
