We’ve just had wooden sashes and wooden French doors replaced and are overall extremely pleased that we chose Core. The guys who fitted the windows were very quick and efficient, cleared up after themselves and were a delight to have in the house. A big advantage of Core is that they give a hand painted finish to the windows which makes them look much more authentic in an old house than simply a spray painted finish would do - and they paint the sills on the outside and fix/paint the internal plaster. I have never had such good decorators before - they were fastidious in providing a perfect finish (we did provide our own architrave and door handle because we wanted to preserve as much of the original Edwardian features as possible). We had a couple of very small niggles - maybe I needed to be over the details more in advance - but the team helped to overcome them and it hasn’t detracted in any way with our overall contentment. All round a fantastic job - thank you.

We had two hall windows installed by Core Sash Windows this past week. From the consultation, measuring, fitting and making good on the surrounding walls (internal and external) Core did a brilliant job. Having had poor experiences before with other window companies, this really could not have gone smoother. The team were professional and friendly. We felt we were in safe hands. Granted, they are not the cheapest, but this is definitely one of those cases were you really get what you pay for. A truly professional job completed to an excellent standard. Thanks Sean and team!

I am delighted with the work carried out by Core Sash Windows. This is the second time we have used the company. They installed one entirely new box sash window and refurbished and draught-proofed the original sash windows in the front of the house. The workmen were polite, friendly, professional and tidy. The whole house feels warmer and no more rattling windows! Highly recommended.

We live in a typical Victorian London terraced house. We put off replacing our horribly draughty, feeble old sash windows for nearly two decades because we couldn't face the disruption and frankly, didn't know what company to trust. Last winter was the last straw.
I found Core Sash Windows as a result of them posting a leaflet through our door. I was pretty sceptical at first but I liked the way they responded quickly and carefully to my query through their website. The web site gave us a ball-park cost figure. It wasn't cheap, but my interactions with the firm made me feel like thy were professionals.
I asked them whether they could put me in touch with people nearby who'd had similar work done, and with their permission, they did that very quickly. We went to see windows they'd fitted a few streets away -- the quality of work was great and the owners remarked on how the company had been great to deal with and had been very careful about minimising dust etc. I recommend doing this, not least because you can see exactly what you'll be getting. We live in a Conservation Area, so we also wanted to check if all the local rules were followed.
We decided to progress to getting a full quote. The surveyor was excellent, giving helpful advice and no pressure at all to do anything more than we needed.
The quote arrived quickly. We bit the bullet and agreed.
The lead time for our windows (we had about a dozen fitted, some of them pretty big) was exactly what they said it would be and they started work exactly when they had said they would. The whole job took just over 2 weeks, as predicted and the total cost was exactly as quoted. The quality of the work is absolutely brilliant. Everything fits snugly and perfectly. The quality of the repainting and decorating is perfect. (We supplied the paint colours for each room, so the new paint would match the old).

We're really pleased. All our interactions with the company have been friendly and professional and every query has had an immediate and satisfactory response.
The guys who came to do the work were a pleasure to have around, worked hard, and got on with each other (that's so important!) and with us. We were super grateful for all the plastic sheeting and floor coverings that they put in place to minimise the dust, although they did warn us (and you should be aware) that window replacement is a dusty process, so even though they constantly hoovered as they went, we still needed to do some of that. I think that comes with the territory.
The weather has been hot since they finished the work. It's certainly easy to open and close the windows now, and the noise reduction when they're closed is very noticeable compared with the old windows. We expect it'll be a lot warmer in winter, although of course we haven't tested that yet.

Incredibly pleased! They installed 14 sash windows - entire box replacement, 2 french windows (1 sliding aluminium & other old style wooden 2 door) and 1 small modern single opening wooden door - all double glazed. Also, did draught proofing of 2 doors & double glazed an old fan window above french windows. The finish is impeccable. The surveyor, Sam, was very helpful & did an excellent job measuring. They filled & painted around the windows inside & out. There were no problems whatsoever. Their quote was much more reasonable than some other sash window companies & they had far less demands than other companies who were charging for extra things that were surplus to requirements of the work. Other companies were saying they couldn’t replace an old french window as they were worried the fan light above might collapse. Core Sash Windows weren’t worried at all. There was no collapse & they were also able to install double glazing of the fan light while other companies said this wouldn’t be possible. I STRONGLY recommend this company above ALL others. I’m going to get them back to do 1 more window too. They were very nice to deal with & their employees Mindy, Leon, Marius & Richard were very conscientious, careful, helpful yet also worked amazingly fast. They covered carpets & put up plastic to prevent dust. My home has been dramatically improved! Thank you so very much!

We're having all five of our sashes replaced and our window boxes refurbished by Core Sash Windows, and they've been fantastic so far. The sashes are excellent quality, and the team has been incredibly mindful about keeping everything clean—covering surfaces thoroughly and tidying up afterward. We also had some last-minute changes to our plans, including adjustments to the architraves, which they accommodated without any hassle. It's been a great experience working with them, and their staff are wonderful. Highly recommend!

We used Core Sash Windows to replace one of our sash windows last year. They did a great job and the room is so much warmer and quieter now. Many thanks to Ryan and their whole team! It was a large sash window and so the cost was high, but the quality is great!

We had most of our windows replaced last month and we wanted to say what a huge difference it makes to retaining the heating in our home as well as some outside noise reduction. Moreover the windows are so aesthetically pleasing with attention to detail and high quality craftsmanship and are lovely to use.

Excellent product, great workmanship, easy to communicate with. Very happy with the latest windows and doors the Core Sash Windows have installed, and the quality of the teams work on site. And a much better product in my opinion compared to Ventrolla who's product in my opinion is very disappointing, especially compared to the Core Sash Windows product when installed in the same property. I'm glad I made the switch from Ventrolla to Core Sash windows. Additionally, I asked the Core Sash Windows to rectify one of the Ventrolla windows installed, which they did and is functioning much better now.

There is no big sales pitch or fanfare from Core Sash Windows, they inform you of the product/possibilities, agree what you need, provide a quote and deliver. Simple.

Core Sash Windows recently replaced all our sash windows with double glazing. They were incredibly professional and reliable. There was excellent communication with their surveyor and office managers & staff. The installation team were terrific, careful, considerate, and proficient. They kept our house immaculately clean during the work and left everything secure at the end of the work day. The windows look wonderful and open and shut smoothly. The double glazing has significantly reduced noise from outside and we expect will efficiently reduce energy use in the winter. We can strongly recommend Core Sash Windows for others looking to install double glazing in their sash (or other) windows.

Called Core Sash Windows to re hand and fix a very drafty front door.
We had very prompt service. The tradesmen that came out were polite, tidy, took care to remove pictures hanging near the door and covered the entrance after the door had been removed with plastic to stop dust going into the house. Worked efficiently. And now door fits better and house is definitely warmer!

I just had 5 leaky original timber sash windows replaced with modern timber double glazed ones and the difference in heat retention is very satisfactory.
From the get-go Sean and his team put the customer at ease with two on site assessments. There was clear communication regarding lead times and once on site the job was completed efficiently to a very high standard. There was one slight snag with a lead weight placement preventing an upper sash functioning correctly, however, this was quickly cleared up over a phone call and corrected the following day, proof that this company are true to their word. We are delighted with our new aluminium kitchen door, which replaced an ancient wooden one. With much bigger panes, it gives a much better garden view and makes the room a good deal warmer as well. It looks great; and importantly it did not break the bank.

Core were a pleasure to deal with. Their website was clear and detailed, giving us pretty much all the information we needed (anything more was quickly obtained by phone), and measuring, and final installation in the capable hands of the very pleasant Szergeij and Vlodomyr went smoothly over the three days. We had both new windows and shutters fitted to the front of our property. From start to finish the process was stress free. Contractors produced an excellent job, respected our property generally great guys.
