Do not purchase anything from this business! A big Screw you Salt Pool Store! Warranty means absolutely nothing to them. I turned them into the BBB and they would not even respond to them for my warranty claim. I have the emails to prove it. A big Screw You!

Cell warranty is 2 years, my cell went bad 3 months after the warranty expired. My original cell lasted 5 years.

They are a scam no customer service sent you back they said that they would pay me now they have my in my money you’re not respond

I am 3 weeks into trying to get warranty service on a failed salt cell. I have provided their warranty form, water tests, photos of control unit in various phases of indicator lights, returned the defective cell, and made numerous phone calls, chat requests and emails. Just yesterday they agree to replace the unit for $399. A new one is available on their website for $374. Per their own warranty terms, (by the way, this is a whole other issue. their warranty is NOT what it appears) my price should be $262. I purchased another from a real store in TX for $399 because I will never spend another penny with Salt Pool Store.
Call their sales line -- they'll answer on the 2 ring. Call the service line and you'll ALWAYS get a voicemail and they will NEVER return your message.

I also was scammed or at least been combo of ghosted and scammed. Ordered a T-15, send for exchange as faulty (cracked housing) and send would exchange same day upon receipt (sent via my cost with tracking). Now won’t respond in any way, text, email, calls. Call center rep answers takes info, or hangs up if ask questions. I figure out my $340 and will file with Visa. Don’t buy from them!

Also, if want to send email to CEO of their fulfillment center, “Red Stag Fulfillment” who facilitates these orders and crap service, find them on linked in. Dusty Holcomb. Can’t find owner of Salt Pool Store as did a legal search. I’ll find ‘em. I’m diligent and bored.

Like all of you on this website (and god I wish I found this last year before I placed my order), I was scammed by saltpoolstore.com and the manufacture Compupool. I purchased the Platinum Edition Replacement Salt Cell for my Jandy Aquapure 13 months ago. This is the 3rd cell I have needed in the 15 years (each usually lasted 7 years) of having my salt pool, so when I saw the $379 RETAIL price (I will come back to the capital letters in a minute) and the 5 year warranty, I couldn’t pass up the deal. Fast forward 1 year and 2 weeks, and my cell died. I contacted the company for a replacement, and after paying the shipping fee to send the cell back for diagnostics, they said I would owe $239 for a new cell which was 30% of $795 which they claim is the RETAIL price. In the 5 times I have visited the site, the price was always $379, although the suggested retail price has gone up from $795 to $835. They are selling them for the lower price which makes the replacement cost $113, not $239.
During my conversations with the company, they blamed all of this on the Manufacturer. They said that this was their policy. Here is another issue with that statement. My cell said Compupool on the unit. I tried calling the manufacturer’s phone number in Florida, but the number listed is for an advertisement and there is no way to contact the manufacturer. I tried emailing them, but never got a response.
I am tied of companies like this getting away with scams. I know the saying, if it is too good to be true, it probably is, but I really thought this company was different. I am getting ready to file a class action lawsuit against both the website and manufacturer for time and money lost. If you have been scammed by these companies or your cells died prematurely, please send me an email so we can discuss this and you can be added to the class action suit.

When asked to explain the math used to arrive at the “PRORATED” replacement cost. They chose to not respond.
Now they have my money and my cell that I’m sure they are more than happy to repair and sell to one of you.
I’ve reported them to the Post Master General for mail fraud as the money has crossed state lines.

When my genuine Haywood T-15 salt cell died in June 2021, I priced another Haywood T-15 salt cell and found they were very expensive. I came across the Salt Pool Store and liked the price of their T-15 replacement cell and especially liked the see-through housing so you can see it generate chlorine. I bought it and installed it in July 2021. It only lasted for the rest of the 2021 pool season. Turn the page to the Spring of April 2022 and the SPS after-market cell won't work anymore. It keeps sending a code (Hot) to the Haywood controller saying the temperature is outside of the chlorine generating thresholds. I could see it generate chlorine for about a minute and then the code HOT would be generated at the controller and it would stop creating chlorine. I tried to reach out to SPS for assistance. No one will respond to you. Fortunately, they honored their warranty after I jumped through all of their hoops by providing a pool store water test result report. My cell was under the 1 year initial ownership so I didn't have to pay anymore for the cell to be replaced. I was only out the shipping to Knoxville, TN and did get a replacement within a week. Now, here is the kicker. The replacement cell appears to be brand new and it currently generates chlorine. The problem with the replacement unit is the threads on the cell. There is something wrong with the threads and you can't get a tight connection. My old Haywood cell fits in the spot and tightens fine so I know the union threads are okay. I just found all of these negative reviews and experiences. I wished I had found them last year when researching replacement cells. I am not going to bother with reaching back out to SPS for a third replacement. I think I can use some silicon and get it tight enough to seal that way and hopefully hold for the summer. I would highly encourage everyone to stay away from this company. That cool see-through housing isn't worth the headaches and money wasted. I just wished Haywood would make a housing like this.

100% Scam. Product failed shortly after 1 yr (like many other customers). Applied for warranty replacement but here is the real fraud. SWP base the replacement calculation on their high fake price, not the price they sell 100% of the time. Therefore if your product was purchased 2 years + 1 day or more ago your warranty replacement price is more than what you would pay as a new customer. Their 5 yr warranty is therefore meaningless and false advertisement. Avoid at all costs.

I wish I would have read the reviews first, there are tons of them all stating that you're going to get scammed.

I ordered the Breeze 320 retro replacement system for $659 but they never delivered the product and will not respond to repeated calls or emails. They also lie about the status of your order on their live chat on the website. After two weeks of trying to get a response I finally filed a dispute with my credit card company and hoping to get refunded.
The BBB knows about them but there is little they can do either.

Needed replacement salt cell for SGS chlorine generator cell. Original cell was for 20k pool but was undersized. I was able to find this 40k gallon generator cell at a good price and they delivered in a little over a week. Not bad considering free shipping. Install was exactly as stated and as soon as I turned it on I could see life come back and sanitization better than new. Not sure what conditions led to people leaving bad reviews but my experience was fantastic. As with all items, time will tell how it holds up to the daily process of sanitizing the pool water.

Purchased salt generator for $269, less than 18 months later it failed. Contacted them for warranty repair and they said I can ship the unit to them at my cost. The next time I hear from them is an email invoicing me for $239. When I email asking why such a high invoice I'm told their warranty after 1 year is pro-rated for 1/3 of the published price; which is over $700. NO WHERE in their warranty does it state anything about the repair cost after one year being 1/3 of the published price. So basically, they offer no warranty beyond the first year. Customer support sometimes takes days to respond and doesn't always answer the question(s). I imagine this "company" is nothing more than a fulfillment center.

I got scammed. Even had to pay for a return twice. They sent me a defective unit that leaked. They didn't pay for return shipping so I did to Tennessee. Then they sent me an old rusted unit to replace it. I complained and after about 10 emails they wanted me to pay for shipping to Australia. YES AUSTRALIA. I paid for it and never heard another word. I tried to dispute with my credit card and they provided a bogus tracking that it was shipped to me. The credit card then said it was my problem to resolve. I paid for the unit and shipping twice. I should have learned the first time when I saw the unit leaked. The second one was rusted so I knew then that they were scamming me.

Like so many others. No service. No response. Left MANY messages... No response. My cell makes clorine...BUT it reads way too high salt level. 4900 where it is actually 3300. Because of this I now have a VERY narrow range I must keep the salt at If I add 100more PPM it will shut off for "High salt level" but it is not.. The meter needs a calibration and no matter what I do with the Hayward control box, it does NOT read right.
The cell is "nice" in that it has a clear window to see the flow and function. But the sensor is garbage and the support is a scam.

This complete scam of a store sent me a garbage cell. I was warned by my pool guy not to install, so I started trying to get return info from this "store". Many emails, no response. I finally returned it UNOPENED per their return policy on the website. Nothing. Next, they asked me to return it to Australia, after I had already returned it to the address listed in Knoxville TN. I'm out $340.

This company is a scam. Do not purchase anything from them or you will lose your money. I purchased a new salt cell from them for $279 which advertised a 5 year warranty. It was defective and stopped working shortly after installing it. I filed the paperwork with them for the warranty replacement over 45 days ago. They don’t respond but finally emailed me to ship it back and they would replace it if I could provide them the shipping info which I did. I shipped it at my own expense. No replacement was ever shipped to me and it’s been now two weeks. No response, no replacement, no refund. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they tried to contact them but also got no response.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SALT POOL COMPANY. They are not a legitimate company.

I’ll just add my complaint to the rest you’ll read…bought in August 2021…never functioned but, initially, I thought I had a high salt condition but a couple of water tests showed my salt actually low. I even replaced the board on my Aquarite salt system but not the problem. My next stop is the BBB to join others that we’re scammed by this Australian company. They do not respond no matter. Save your money!

Terrible. Salt cell lasted a year, sent in for warranty and they will not even respond with an email. Save your time and money and purchase elsewhere. These people are a joke.

Bought a salt generator lasted about 2 weeks, no help on warranty and it appears I'm just one of many.
