I don’t normally write reviews but the Salt Pool Store’s customer service is so poor, it would be irresponsible of me not to warn others.

I made an online order and quickly realized I did not need the product. I called customer support immediately and they cancelled my order before processing had even occurred. They stated, my card would be refunded within 5 business days.

Going on business day #9, I wrote back inquiring where my refund was. A few days later I received a refund however charged a 15% fee, not for restocking, shipping, or processing but solely because the fine print policy said so. I wrote again to customer service where Tommy Webb couldn’t trouble himself to respond but merely placed a link to the policy. I wrote back in displeasure and he once again sent me a hyperlink to the policy without empathy or concern.

They got me for $55 without anything to show for it. Beware.

This was my experience: 2nd product I bought from them, both only lasted about a year.

Let me get this straight. I bought a T cell on July 3, 2022 for $349.00 with a 3 year warranty. It goes bad in 13 months. Now you're asking me to buy a new T cell for $267.00 and a 24 month warranty. Seems to me I'm paying $616.00 for a T cell that I originally paid $349.00 for that was supposed to last at least 3 years. On what universe does this make sense?

If I'm wrong, please explain it to me.

shipped a defective product and wouldn't pay return shipping. I opened a dispute with my CC company and SPS lied to them that they hadn't received the return (until they were presented with the evidence refuting their claim.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They will not honor warranty. Asked to speak with a Manage and was told "I am the manager, this is not Walmart". I think Walmart sells better quality products that this place and they stand behind what they sell. All this place does is want your money and does nothing to keep a customer.

Take a look at the reviews, they're all 5 stars. That's because you can't post reviews directly to the site. They either scan reviews before posting them or they write them in house. Don't buy their off brand clear cells, they're junk. Pay really close attention to the warranty, you will not get 5 years out of this product and it's not a real 5 year warranty.

I bought a replacement cell for my Hayward salt generator. It worked fine to begin with (a couple of months), but it was always registering high on the salt, even though when I took water to the pool store, the salt level was fine. I filled out the warranty information, sent pictures of my pool with algae, the registered PPMs when I reset the generator, the PPMs after 10 seconds (Salt High) and the results from my pool store.
The warranty department (or someone who apparently doesn't know what he's talking about) said to remove 20% of the water and refill the pool. Common sense tells me that when I do that, the salt reading from the salt store is going to show low, and then I am stuck in a vicious cycle of adding salt, removing water, adding salt...
The gentleman at my pool store also stated the same concern, and told me not to do that. I replied back to the Salt Pool Store, and never got a response.
I finally chatted with someone and I was told she would copy me on the email that she was going to send to the warranty department asking them to follow up with me either that day or the next. I never received that email or any contact from the store.
I chatted again the following Monday, and asked them how they wanted their review to look. They aren't phased by that question. I did get an email that day, but it was requesting I do the same thing, even though with second testing from my pool store, the salt level is within range; 2940 PPM.
So I can't stress enough, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. THEY WANT IT TO SEEM THAT THE CUSTOMER IS DOING SOMETHING WRONG.

Ordered a chlorine generator, part was received cracked and with crazy glue all over it in an attempt to fix it, emailed the company they refused to do anything about it stating I did not pay for shipping protection. Trouble is it wasn’t broken during shipping, box was good, and cell had crazy glue all over it. Stay away from this merchant, complete scam, disputing charges with my credit card company, reported them to bbb. Apparently bbb already has a ton of complaints about them, why are they still in business no clue

Zero stars on this place that will not stand behind what they sell.
This salt cell from this leaked from day one. I sent it back for a warranty replacement after it was approved. The salt pool store received the salt cell, but want me to pay as much as I paid for the first time by up charging to $538 and so said discounting to $231 for the replacement when they are selling it online for $309.

Salt Pool Store will not honor warranty on product (Platinum Salt Cell with 5 year warranty). Will not even respond to emails or their "warrant request form." This place is absolutely run by scum bags who do not care about customer service or referrals. (Order SPS51293)

Orders shipped from manufacturer in Australia...first problem. Wrong item sent. Bad communication & customer service. Return is costly to customer. Not full refund, numerous return charges deducted. Many other company names associated with Salt Pool Store, confusing for service & charge info. Not a good company to deal with. Feel scammed and cheated. And it cost us a lot of money to finally end up with NOTHING. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I wish I could give them a 0 I bought a t-15 Cell with a 5 year warranty had it 2 years and it does not work. Sent it back to them and they have not returned it. I sent 6 or more emails no response. They don’t answer the phone. This was $330.00 unit. Don’t buy from this company they don’t respond and don’t go by the 5 year warranty. DON’T WASTE Your Time or Your money on this product. Worst Customer service

Read reviews and RUN! Best if this company closed their doors for good. They are expanding their scam to new website "THEPOOLFOLKS" and trying to run from the bad reviews on SaltPoolStore.com.

We purchased the cell from them which states on their website that it was compatible with solaxx which it is not. Once it was installed our power supply stopped working, We called solaxx and found out that the product that this company is selling is not compatible with the equipment we have and damaged our power supply. I called them to let them know that I needed to return the equipment and get a refund. They stated that we can return it however the shipping is on our expense. I received an email to return it however no information on it. Please do jot purchase from this company. Also the shipment came from Australia not from the address listed on the website.

They will not answer the phone, nor chat or email. I made the mistake of ordering this unit without reading the return policy. The return date starts the date of order but it takes 15 days to get to you. Then my pool builder tells me it's the wrong one. So the thieves will not accept it. I should have realized that the company it comes from has a very bad reputation. DON'T THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY ON THIS COMPANY!

The products are of the poorest quality, only the cust care is lower. Tom Webb emails me back with one or two word sentences or doesn't bother to reply. Don't buy anything from this company. I guess this review is in vane because that's all I see. They will probably change the name to escape the negative reviews. Please don't buy anything from here.

The t-15 salt cell lasts one swimming season then does not work at the opening of the next season. I have had 2 Salt Pool Store cells in a row do this. You have to pay to return for the warranty and pay for a bypass to keep the pool running while waiting for a new one. The second time I still had to pay for warranty service. No one else, even Hayward, does not offer a 5 year warranty so their products and company is a scam.

I've been through the ringer with this company. Multiple cells have failed after two warranty claims usually last 10 months or so. These guys are crooks and should be locked up. They are claiming to be in Tennessee and their returns are at a PO Box in Louisville, KY. Total BS, this company shouldn't be allowed on Google for marketing either. There are multiple infractions on Google and its an injustice for Google to keep allowing crooks like this on their domain. Stay away at all cost! Spend the extra money and get if from reputable companies.

Purchased a salt cell two years ago from this company. Salt cell stopped working, contacted the warranty department since it was sold with a 5 year warranty. Was told to send it back, which I paid the shipping for. No response in email after them receiving it back. Could not get a response via email, no one would answer the phone, could not even get a response on their website chat feature. Finally got in touch with someone who proceeded to send me an invoice to PURCHASE the replacement at a higher price than I originally paid for the salt cell.
