promised $80 reward . never paid

Was phoned on two seperate occassions and spent substantial time answering questions. Was promised a $80 payment , on following up over aperiod of a month was replied with "We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time and participation in our studies. Should there be anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact me again" Despite numerous emails in reponse no payment has been made. Generally seems to be a scam!

Chased support 4 times no response. I work with a lot of similar companies clearly these guys are not that honest

We apologise for the delay you're experiencing in receiving your reward, we process the incentive payments after the study is fully finished on our side (usually within 4-8 weeks from the start of the project fieldwork, but it may vary). A timeframe of 4-8 weeks is required for our teams to conduct data quality checks and make sure the surveys are legitimate before releasing the rewards. This is consistent with market research best practice to ensure the quality of the research study.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT: Avoid RONIN Surveys — Possible Data Mining Scheme

In January 2025, I completed a RONIN survey after receiving an email from someone claiming to be Ignatius Abiseka Puruseto, a "digital researcher" for RONIN. I spent an hour on the survey, lured by the promise of an $80 incentive. Months and nearly a dozen emails later, I still haven’t received a dime.

At first, they responded and acted helpful — but then completely ghosted me. Not only did they waste my time, but I now suspect this was a scam to collect personal data under false pretenses.

Please protect yourself. Do not trust this company or complete their surveys. This experience has all the signs of a data mining operation disguised as legitimate research. Spread the word and stay safe!

Awful company done one of their surveys…

Awful company done one of their surveys about working in technology via heycash got to 99 percent of the survey then get a message "sorry but this survey is currently undergoing service and has been temporarily closed* over 20 minutes taking the survey for absolutely no compensation whatsoever.

No reward received. *late reward*

I completed a 45minutes telephone survey with the promise of a £40 reward which would arrive after 2 working days - it has now been over 11 days. I have left 2 messages on their website, attempted to call on numerous occasions (no answer) and even emailed the person who contacted me twice (no reply). Whilst the survey questions were genuine, I do feel like I've been scammed out of my time.

After getting in touch with Ronin again I received a response advising me of a delayed reward time due to them waiting for their client to close the survey.
Please note, that if I had been advised correctly from the start I would have given 5stars. I have marked them down to 4stars due to having to chase them. They may have paid me within this timeframe, anyway.

Good experience with market survey participation

The process itself was seamless, and the team communicated with me at each step. The actual survey interview was personable and quite enjoyable! I would have appreciated a little more clarity on the next steps post the interview, since hearing back took a couple of months, but I received the discussed reward in full without any problem.

No payment and shocking lack of communication

Completed survey on 23 Feb with Ronin promising payment within 30 days.

With the 30 days past, I have contacted their support team twice with NO RESPONSE and conveniently, the survey completion is now NOT reflected in my profile.

An absolute waste of time - if you want to do expert consultations go with other, more reputable companies. You can read other bad reviews about Ronin (here and other platforms) for not acknowledging their advisers and paying them.

Professional process with clear communication

The whole experience was conducted in a clear and professional manner - from the first call, the interview itself, to the payment which happened within the timeframe I was given.

The interview started and ended on time and was conducted by someone who was interested in the subject, which made for a richer exchange rather than a standard question and answer approach.

Would gladly work with them again.

I participated in the survey that was…

I participated in the survey that was conducted by a senior Ronin staff, and was very pleased by the way the entire process went. The communication was excellent, especially with the recruiting team, and I was paid in 3-weeks time post survey, which is a standard procedure. Overall, a great experience and would do it again, as their research seems very promising, especially in my field of work.

Issue with payment but they resolved it

I conducted a survey and was told I'd receive payment via paypal by Feb 14. was promised 75 dollars. they never paid. when i contacted them regarding payment they sent me information on registering on some other site about a week later. I had reported it as a scam because i did not receive payment. A few weeks later i did in fact receive payment. THe company stood by their word and resolved the matter amicably.

Scam!!! Avoid …

I am writing about my unresolved payment for a survey I completed on December 4th. The survey was extensive, and I was promised an £80 voucher as compensation. However, despite the usual payment timeframe of 30 days, I have yet to receive my voucher, which is completely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, I was asked to register with another company due to a supposed migration, with the threat that failing to do so would result in losing my voucher. I complied with this request over a month ago and have since sent 15 emails, yet I have received no resolution or even a proper response.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially since I have never encountered such issues with survey payments before. It is unacceptable for a company to treat its participants this way, taking advantage of people’s time and effort without fulfilling their commitments.

I received the payment after the study was closed. It takes a couple of months for them to process and validate. Overall, it was a good experience.
