REWARD NOT PAID

I completed a survey and redeemed my reward since July 23, and it's over a month without payment I'm really disappointed. This company are not keeping their promise, I read all the reviews and I'm not the only one whose payment has be held.

Ronin Studies is a scam- stay away…

Ronin Studies is a scam- stay away from them. They have you respond to their surveys/studies with a promise of an incentive but you may NEVER see that incentive actually getting paid to you. I have been waiting on one since May, logged a complaint more than a month ago, was told my payment will be processed within a month but still nothing! Totally dishonest company- I would not work with them ever again. Stay away!

The most disappointing experience ever

If I could give this a 0 rating I would. Completed a survey more than 3 months ago and still not been paid. Finally saw a redemption link come through and when I logged into my account, it said its no longer available. Sent multiple messages and emails to the customer support and inquiry and no response. Totally disappointing and horrible experience

Still unsure if this is a scam, be warned

Edit 27/8/25 - Had my voucher through after leaving a negative review and going back and forth with their email support. They claim it was due to a technical issue. Updating review to 3 stars.

Had an email through after a couple of months of completing the research. Clicking the 'redeem' link in the email results in a pop up showing that the reward has 'already been redeemed' which it has not.

Tried to contact support multilple times with no reply and no one answers their main telephone line.

Don't waste your time with any market research 'opportunities'.

Scam

After completing survey i was told to wait for 6-8 weeks to receive the reward . 8 weeks passed they said study is still open
After another 2 weeks they sent one email to thank you for the contribution and provided me with reward .
I added the reward to ronin account and told to wait for another one month to complete the process to send the reward to my paypal account.
Today I received one email said my payment is declined and i will not receive the reward for the survey I have done.

Customer support is non existent.
To all those who are participating in Ronin study please don't waste your time and effort.
They are scamming .

They don't want to pay .
They sent the reward just to make sure I am busy waiting after one month they declined.

Never pay them in advance

Placed order with advance payment, it's been 10 days they havent delivered it and I call them daily, they say we will deliver it tomorrow, never pay them advance, they hold your money and don't deliver the product. The product is good but customer service is beyond pathetic

Unpaid Since May and Ignored

I completed two surveys, one of them back in May, but I have still not received payment for either. I emailed at the end of July and was told I would be paid within the following week, but the payment never arrived. I followed up again on 10th August and have had no reply since.

On top of this, the second survey I completed isn’t even showing on your portal, which adds to my concern.
I regularly take part in surveys for other companies, and payments are always timely — some are even instant (e.g., NewtonX).

The lack of communication and repeated delays here are unusual and disappointing, and I am starting to lose confidence in the legitimacy of this company.

Completed a survey almost 4 months ago. No incentive as promised and have been given the run-around through “Customer Care” for weeks and still no payment. Robin has been reported to Linked In but Linked In does nothing to protect its community from scammers.

I completed the survey 2month ago and received reward redemption link but due to error I was not able to open the link on and confirm my paypal that was the only option for redemption at the time of survey they offer multiple options as reward that's not all I tried to redeem it but by mistake different id was connected and now I am trying to connect them multiple times but no response really horrible experience nobody responded only automated email received every request your query resolved they are just wasting time atleast give right answer and solve my issue

Slow to respond

Slow to respond. Slow to pay. Alot of back and forth and no prompts for the assignments that align most with skills. For a short survey it takes them months to compensate.

RUN don't waste your time

Horrible company who says they care about their participants.. my last experience proved that is false. I emailed 16 times and got maybe 2 responses. It took months for them to pay me and I'm now dealing with a govt contact in the UK who will be investigating them.. don't waste your time with this company and please contact me if you are having issues with payment so I may share the contact info for you to report them too

Ronin is a scam

Ronin is a scam. I spent 30mins giving the survey after promise of getting something in return, my emaisl were not returned, nothing recieved. Like i would have done it for free, but why promise if you didn't plan to pay up

We appreciate your participation in the survey, please be aware we start to process the incentive payments after the study is fully finished on our side (usually within 4-8 weeks from the start of the project fieldwork, but it may vary). A timeframe of 4-8 weeks is required for our teams to conduct data quality checks and make sure the surveys are legitimate before releasing the rewards. This is consistent with market research best practice to ensure the quality of the research study.

If you are eligible to receive the reward, you will receive an email sent by us to access your RONIN Rewards account and select your preferred payment method.

If after this time period you have not received your reward, please email our incentives team at rewards@help.roninstudies.com, who will be able to look into the status of the project for you.

Ronin will rip you off!

Unfortunately Ronin have left a very bitter taste in my mouth. As a company that relies on the people to give honest and reliable responses to research opportunities you would think they would pay the people they recruit as they promised. Unfortunately they do not! Ronin will NOT ANSWER emails regardless of how many you send. They expect their participants to work for nothing and refuse to pay the agreed price on completed tasks.
I advise ANYONE CONSIDERING RONIN AS A COMPANY TO DEAL WITH TO DEFINITELY RECONSIDER. You do not need your business or name associated with a dishonest company such as this.

missed payment and unprofessional behaviour

I completed a survey on 20th of March (project 85157), selected my reward on 16th April and nothing happened since then.
I tried to get in touch with them (with tons of emails) to flag that it had been over a month and no payment was received but the only reply was an automated one from the rewards team saying:
"We apologize for the delay in processing your payment. As we are now in the process of closing it, you can expect to receive your payment shortly.

If the payment has not been processed within one month, please feel free to contact us so we can assist you further.

We appreciate your time and valued contribution to our research and look forward to your participation in future studies. If you have any questions or need additional support, don’t hesitate to reach out."
which clearly means they are just ignoring the problem.
I am extremely disappointed by this unprofessional behaviour since this time I had referred some colleagues for the survey and my reputation is now affected by their terrible way of working.
I am not sure my colleagues and I will ever receive a payment.
I had done other surveys in the past and never experienced this. I would no longer recommend working with them!
