I wish I had saw these reviews before I purchased from this so called bookstore. I ordered what was advertised as a hardback book as a Christmas gift for my elderly mum. Only to discover that it's an ebook. I have been sending emails to them Only for them to constantly say they can't refund bookstore. I stated that it's false advertisement as the only options they offer are paper back or hardback , no ebook. I wouldn't have purchased an ebook for my mum as doesn't have a device to read it on, also she likes a book ... lm not giving up on a refund ... I would advise not to buy from them!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE!!! At no point on the website does it say that the books being sold are ebooks. I ordered what was described on the page as a new, hardcover, free shipping book for my daughter, which was promptly sent as an ebook. On further enquiry they told me I was 'confused' and that they could not refund on the product. Nowhere on the webpage did it imply anything about it being an ebook and infact it was specifically described otherwise. BEWARE!

Scam! Ordered a book listed as "Format: Hardcover" and received a digital link instead. Avoid!!

As with all other reviews, clearly advertised as “Hardcover” and then sent an ebook. Claimed I couldn’t get a refund despite this being a false misrepresentation of the product. I have sought outside counsel.

I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. They have refused to give me a refund so I have taken up with my bank. Happy to take to Trading Standards if this company continues to operate.

I can only echo what everyone else has already said. You believe you are buying a physical book. There is no mention of "e-book" on their site. When you follow up, they say you are "confused" about what you ordered. In my case, I stated their listing to be misleading and against consumer rights and advised I would be raising a dispute with my bank. They've finally promised me a refund in 4-7 days.

Do not order from this company. It is a scam.

Their website advertised the item I purchased as a hardback book with free delivery, and at no point did it state that the product was a digital download or e-book.
This constitutes misrepresentation of goods, which is a violation of UK consumer protection law. The product delivered is not what was advertised and no where on their website does it state they are selling e books/downloads.

Luckily I did get a refund through my bank. I reported it as fraud. I’m yet to hear back from the company itself.

Very confused and never using again.

As with others, I really wished I had read these reviews first. Having ordered 30/11/2025 I was waiting for an email to update me on the arrival of the book. Email sent today chasing, auto reply received stating I’d ordered an audiobook. Having returned to the page of the company, it is clear that nowhere does it state I was buying an audiobook. Email sent requesting refund and bank on standby if not!

Scammed in the same way everyone else has been. Ordered 2 hardcover books, checked on website for any indication is was an ebook (to which there is none), gave delivery address details, and paid. Only 2 receive 2 ebook downloads.
Complained immediately and got an AI generated email back saying no refunds.
Credit card company saying I now have to wait 15 days to raise a dispute - infuriating!

Scam - will trick you into thinking you’re buying a physical book. Eg website says hardcover format and asks for delivery address during check out to be told it’s just an ebook.

Yep thought i hard ordered a hard back as stated on the selling page only to realise after buying it was only online.. DO NOT BUY.

So glad I did a search for reviews. Their price for a current hardback at only £7.99 and free delivery seemed too good to be true, so I looked them up on Companies House. They're registered as a real estate company...
That's when I did a search for reviews.
The whole 'About Us' blarb on their site about being a group of librarians and book industry people is clearly nonsense.
So sorry the other reviewers got scammed by these people!

Like other reviewers I wish I had reviewed this company before as I had in good faith thought I had ordered HARDBACK book that no where on the main description said it was an e book . Also the price seemed to be reflective of a hardback as I know you can get the same ebook at half this price . I did contact them however their stance was no refunds even though I haven’t received the download The book was for my 90year old dad who doesn’t have anything to download on his. I do question if this description is legal under the sales of goods act 1974 as certainly I was unaware until I had paid and then they sent you a notification to download . Buyers be aware

Fake sites as all others no mention of ebook until email to chase up with them, have disputed transaction with my bank.

Current interactions are them saying I am confused as to what I ordered. Thankfully I have a screenshot evidencing it was hardcover that I ordered.

Ordered a hardback book and provided billing and delivery address. Received order confirmation with a download link to an ebook which was not an option when ordering. Emailed them to say I ordered a hardback book. They replied that I ordered an ebook. I have documentary evidence that I did not order an ebook.
I will be requesting a refund but Warn You NOT to Use This Company
Latest: after several emails I advised this company that I would report them to Trading Standards stating that item is not as described and under UK law a refund must be made. Refund made immediately. I have reported them to Citizens Advice who pass report to Trading Standards.
If you are not satisfied with the email replies you get advise them you are reporting to Trading Standards.
Good luck and we need to get these criminal companies shut down.

Absolutely gutted I didn't check for reviews regarding this scam site, as others have stated, book described as a hardback "book" NOT an ebook! I have requested refund but an not hopeful so will open payment dispute via my bank, a bit of a rigmorole but at least it denies them of easy money.

Bought a 'hardback' from this company and was sent a link to download, no where on the site does it say e-book, it's a complete scam! I bought this for my 85 year old neighbour who loves books. How these people live with themselves is beyond me:(

Yep, I've been done as well. Website says hardback. Nowhere does is say ebook. £13.90 for an ebook?!! Crazy. I emailed them a complaint and they just stopped replying. Don't take phone calls, despite having a number on their site. I'll be trying to get them shutdown that's for sure.
