I've been a loyal customer for a few years now. Rare Tea Company is on my shortlist of best quality, and as they are titled, rare teas that I've never seen elsewhere. The tea experience is great, but what I love too is knowing that the team at Rare Tea Company strive to source their teas in the most ethically, and responsible ways that they can. It's a win for the customers and a win for the communities and families that support themselves in the tea industry.

I bought the Tarry Lapsang Souchong loose leaf tea, I had previously received it as a gift, absolutely loved it, which has resulted in my buying more.
It has a most distinctive taste that appeals to me very much.
It’s my choice of tea in the afternoons, I also keep it in order to use it for a second time. I would highly recommend the Rare Tea Co. they are very helpful and professional, filling the gap in the market for specialised teas.

I recently read about how microplastics are an issue with all tea bags because of the way that they are sealed and so wanted to switch over to loose leaf. I initially got 4x teas with Rare Tea Co to make sure I would like the variety and just signed up for a subscription to continue getting from them in the future. Excellent taste!

I have to thank my daughter-in-law, who offered me some Rare Tea Earl Grey when she came to visit me in Switzerland, where I live. The aroma and flavour are absolutely unrivalled. Since then, I can’t drink tea from another brand, as it seems bland in comparison. Despite the postage and customs charges for Switzerland, I will definitely buy some more because I simply can’t do without it. I bought the refills, as I already have the metal tin, and I think that’s a really clever and eco-friendly idea.

The quality and variety of tea is excellent. My sole gripe is that I have to use my phone or computer to find out recommended brewing times and temperatures. I don't have my phone constantly on me, and even if I did it's extra friction to get it out, fire up the camera and scan the code, or type in the URL. The code is individual to each tea, as is the tea name so you're doing special printing for each tea. Just print the temperature and brewing time on the pack instead of the code; it should be no extra work for you and much simpler for me. I've taken to writing temperature and time on the pack with a freezer pen so that I only need to faff around with my phone once. It's still annoying.

Even if I don't like every single tea I buy from Rare Tea Company, they are all interesting, and most are wonderful. I truly appreciate how they are sourced from sustainable farmers. I highly recommend the Rare Tea Company.
