Overall a good experience

Overall a good experience although I did click for valves to be included and they weren't, but my plumber was able to use the existing ones. I had to chase delivery aswell, so for these reasons it was 4 stars.

fast delivery, love the style

fast delivery, the box was slightly dinted on the corner which we were not worried about, but when opening the box and viewing the radiator it had bent some of the pipes. due to its style we were able to bend them back into shape and it all seems to work well. prob needs better packaging on the corners. we love everything else about it

DQ towel rail with electric heating…

DQ towel rail with electric heating element.

Quick delivery.

You need to pay for pre-filling to have a valid warranty. The heating element is supplied but not attached, so you need to disassemble and reassemble. Easy you might think, except… The design of the product is such that the heating element is threaded so that it is only tight when facing the wall. This is insane. Why would anyone design a product like that?!

Great item, terrible customer service

The fabulous item I received, at a great price cannot be faulted. Customer service, however, is horrendous.
Upon my plumber arriving he said I'd got the wrong valves, so I messaged company to ask could I return. No reply.
So I emailed them this week and got quite a snotty email back about it. I had to send photos proving its condition, fair enough and they said if the box arrived back damaged there would be no refund. So I did mention the box was damaged on arrival as it was just in a plastic bag.
I got another supercilious email telling me that I should have reported that to them within 24 hours of receipt.
The package wasn't opened til my plumber arrived 2 days later, and why would I report a damaged box when the contents were fine!!
So I reminded them at this point that I was exercising my right to cancel the contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 as this was a distance purchase and I was within the 14-day cooling-off period, I am entitled to a full refund to my original payment method.
I got ANOTHER snotty email quoting my original email and telling me I was fully liable.
Won't buy from them again.

We are very sorry to hear that you felt disappointed with the service you received, especially as we are pleased to hear that you were happy with the item itself and the value offered. After reviewing the full email correspondence between both parties, we can certainly understand where some frustration may have arisen during the returns process, and we apologise if any of our responses came across in a way that caused further upset.

However, we do not believe this review is entirely fair or fully reflective of the situation. As stated within your own review, the valves ordered were unfortunately the incorrect valves required for your installation, rather than the wrong item being sent by Radiator World. Had we supplied an incorrect product, we would of course have immediately arranged a replacement at no cost to yourself and resolved the matter as quickly as possible.

In this case, the order supplied matched the order placed, meaning the return fell under a non-faulty customer return. As with most online retailers and plumbing/heating suppliers, a return or collection charge applies in these circumstances to cover handling, courier and warehouse processing costs. We believe this is both standard industry practice and reasonable, particularly for specialist plumbing and heating products which require careful transport and inspection before being returned to stock.

We also offered two return options in order to assist you — either:
• a collection arranged by ourselves for a small fee, or
• a self-return arranged independently at your own cost.

These options were provided in line with our published returns policy and UK consumer legislation.

With regards to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 referenced in your review, while customers absolutely do retain the right to cancel a distance purchase within the cooling-off period, the legislation also clearly allows retailers to require the customer to bear the direct cost of returning non-faulty goods unless the retailer has agreed otherwise. At no stage were you refused the right to return the items or obtain a refund; the only requirement was the applicable return cost due to the order not being faulty or incorrectly supplied.

Regarding the packaging comments, our terms and conditions also request that any damages or concerns with packaging or goods are reported within 48 hours of delivery so they can be properly investigated with the courier where necessary. We appreciate your point that the contents themselves were unharmed, however this is why our team referenced the reporting timeframe during the discussion.

We genuinely regret that you were unhappy with the interaction and we always take customer feedback seriously. Our team works extremely hard to support thousands of customers every week, and while we fully appreciate your frustration over ordering the incorrect valves, we do feel the resolution offered was fair, reasonable and fully in line with both our published terms and UK consumer regulations.
