RAC Insurance - Beware
Disappointed that RAC see fit to increase my premium over a previous incident where the other party was at fault and no claim was made. I paid for the minor repair from my own pocket. Shocking behaviour. Stay well clear. I won't be using them again.

Terrible service from them, they have idiots on live chat who have poor knowledge.
I will never use RAC again.
Please go elsewhere folks.
My renewal came through which was more expensive than last year, I got in touch to see if RAC could do it any cheaper as I was willing to renew, but the guy I got on live chat was an idiot. Poor knowledge and very unhelpful, while arranging the quote he asked if there would be any changes, I said yes there would be a name change to my partner as we were getting married, he proceeded to change the name on my current policy which meant I would incur an charge for a policy change. This is not acceptable. Now the RAC are chasing me for an extra charge and a late fee after my old policy had ended, but now they say it was cancelled as I didn’t renew.
I will never use the RAC again and I suggest no one else does. They are conmen.

As older people direct contact is in my opinion essential when there is a problem
You apparently had insufficient information on line to actually take payment from me for the coming year

They rip you off when you have to change policy details
Was happy to renew with them but soon had to change my car. My 'new car' was almost identical. It is 18months newer but still quite old. Same engine etc. I was prepared for the £15 admin fee but £69 charge in additional premium felt like an absolute rip off.
