Do not take out a car insurance policy with the RAC
Having recently setup a new car insurance policy with RAC insurance, I received a letter from them telling me my insurance will be cancelled on the 11th October, or the 8th October depending which paragraph you read, but when I login to try to look at the documents they tell me are not filled in correctly, it says my insurance is already cancelled (4th October) and the documents aren't available.
The letter is confusing and poorly written, and with this particular policy it's impossible to speak to anyone and the webchat is useless.

RAC attended to change a flat tyre unfortunately the young chap was inexperienced, opted to jack the caravan up by the floor not the Alko jack points. “Crunch” - one nice ‘jack foot’ sized hole in the floor of our prized caravan. Not Good!

My renewal
My renewal in the current climate of rising costs was favourable in comparison with other providers. The ability to process and receive the policy was also seamless, if this continues I will remain a loyal customer.

Believe that in effect i was ripped off as the insurers felt they had me over a barrel. despite speaking to them about a change of vehicle a couple of weeks in advance and getting an estimate of less than £100 they later put this up to an additional £170 considering I had recently renewed with them I felt this was them taking advantage of my siuation as cancelling and reinsuring elsewhere would also have cost me +£100 in cancellation fees.
