5 Star for Prep
The delivery was a bit late but I rang the company and they gave me a quick update for my delivery which I thought was great. Apart from that it's all been hunky dory The packaging was great and the food was nice and fresh because of the ice bags. The food itself tastes amazing and you can't really tell it's a healthier version because the meals taste very much like the original versions. I'll be ordering again.

Thank you for the feedback. I would just like to say we only use salt in one dish (peppered steak). We try to keep our meals as healthy as possible. It would be the herbs and spices you will have tasted.

The packaging is great and the idea is awesome. I chose the vegetarian and fish option. I just didn't like the taste, the food flavouring was too strong.

Thank you for taking the time to give some feedback. Whilst some think that the food is tasteless, others think the food is too strong. Its personal preference and we have tried to cook the foods with a medium amount of flavouring. As with any food - it comes done to personal preference.

I ordered 7 meals a few weeks ago. A couple of the meals were really tasty such as; smoky fajitas and peppered steak. I found the jerk chicken, rice and peas meal quite salty, unfortunately, I had to throw some of it away. There was no variety in terms of the veg options and I found the portions to be quite small. I've used a few meal prep companies recently and although the meals are less than 500 calories the portions have been more significant.
I ordered my meals on Sunday (due to be delivered the following Thursday), however due to the BH weekend, my meals were delivered on Friday. A few issues here, it wasn't advertised on their website that there would be a delay in delivery. If I had known, I wouldn't have placed an order. I only found out about the delay when I called and emailed customer service. I was offered 10% off my next order but to be honest, I won't be ordering again.
Yodel is the preferred delivery partner for Meal Prep UK which I think is a terrible choice because my meals arrived after 9pm (their website says they aim to deliver before 9pm) and I noticed the package didn't have the food items label affixed to it. This label usually indicates to the delivery partner that the package needs to be delivered sooner rather than later. There is probably an additional cost for this which Meal Prep UK did not want to fulfil. The meal prep companies I have used previously, have this label attached to it and my meals normally arrive first thing in the morning! So the fact that my meals arrived so late in the day sans the food label really put me off.
Definitely some pros and cons here but the overall experience has put me off ordering again!

Thank you for taking the time to lend some feedback. I would like to address the points raised one by one.
re - portion size. I can see from our records that you ordered twice with us - both being the weight loss portion size. This is indeed smaller than the 2 other portion sizes we offer which are 'maintain' and 'muscle gain'. The reason for this is the goal - ie weight loss will always be to lose weight - hence smaller portion sizes. We would have been more than happy to advise through the webchat, email or any other social media stream to explain this.
Re late delivery due to bank hol - We always pop a note at the very top of the website when it is bank holiday explaining that no delivery company is able to deliver over a bank holiday. This delays the meals unfortunately however it is something outside of our control. Since leaving this review, we have taken to e mailing the customers this affects as well just in case they missed this, so thank you for feeding this back.
Reg delivery company Yodal - During the time period you ordered, we had a number of difficulties with Yodal. We have since moved to DPD and all shipments are sent with yellow food stickers meaning these parcels are prioritised above all others for next day delivery. Whilst deliveries might still be as late as 9pm, we aim to keep the cost of deliveries down at £5 as delivering it before a certain time would incur an extra customer cost of £10 meaning they would be paying £15 for delivery. Putting ourselves in the customers position, we wouldnt want to pay that so have taken the decision to keep the times as they are considering more often than not, they are delivered through the day.
Reg extra cost that we wouldn't want to pay - All costs are factored in and instead of charging the full cost of delivery to the customer (£7.50 per parcel) we cover some of the cost to keep our delivery fee down to £5). We have managed to still do this despite a recent rise in cost of sending parcels due to the change of delivery company. It isn't that we wouldn't cover the cost.
Again - thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We have been able to take your comments on board and have made some positive changes.
Good Food and Excellent Customer Service
We had a problem with the delivery, in which the driver had slammed the boxes down so hard they had broke 15 of my meals. I rang up Prep and after a very kind apology offered to send replacements for the ones lost and a few more as a gesture of goodwill, as well as contacting the delivery company to inform them. I was very impressed by their professional tone and wonderful understanding of the situation, it made me feel confident that they do care about their customers.
And on top of all that the food was amazing! The balance of everything is great, there's an equal amount of meat/carbs/veg. The only thing that was a bit too much was the spice on the jerk chicken. Again, very tasty but the spices build up after a while, it made me sad that I couldn't eat it all haha. Also, the chicken fajitas were so good, I could eat them all day every day!
Overall it was a very positive experience and I will be ordering again next month.

Not really happy with this
Not really happy with this. If you ask for a muscle gainer meal,why is the only 3 tiny bits of chicken. Meals are tiny aswell. 4 meals a day for £145.
Think I'll cook my own meals from now.

Excellant Food!!!!
I have tired other providers before and was always not happy with the food. This is different with Prep UK. The portions are good, the food tastes great, almost all of it, apaert from Auberigne Rolls. Most importantly that they cater Halal food and there is only very fiew providers who cater halal food.

The food only lasts 3 days without freezing. I found it bland and unimaginative too, with few dish choices and no customisation available.

Firstly, we are sorry you feel this way.
We do state on our website that meals last for 3 days from the time is is cooked. The rest do need to be frozen and meals do freeze well. We do this so we dont have to add gases and preservatives to make it last longer which means its extra healthy. That's what we prefer to focus on.
We offer a custom bundle tab where you can build each meal yourself if there are any meals you dislike in the ready made bundles.
Lastly, we have a webchat function where someone is on hand to guide you through the process / any queries you might have had.

Came very quick and was packaged nicely with a cooler type material. Put straight into the freezer and ate one meal after my workout.
I’ll detail every single meal below in rank order
1. Cottage pie. This was one of the best pies I have ever tasted. The sweet potatoes mash was amazing and the minced meat was beautifully spiced and flavoured
2. Sweet chilli chicken curry and rice
Again was amazing. Piping hot. Creamy and full of flavour
3.spaghetti Bologna’s s. Same mince as before amazing
4. Jerk chicken with rice
Tasted Ok. Chicken was nicely spiced and rice was ok
5. Peppered steak. Not a fan of this one tbh. Too much pepper. Ruined the taste
