As a Laravel developer I don't think there is any other solution on the market at the moment that gives you such comprehensive features and options.

Customer Support is horrible

Customer Support is horrible
I opened tickets no one is replying, they just rudely close them without any reason. Tired of this platform, the only place they reply is here. I just want to move on but looks like they control everything, I am afraid my site to go down or be deleted by them.

Help me, guys!

Edit:

The tool itself is okey, just hard to use for beginner and the support is not always on time. But after couple of learning the tool, it does the job!

We're sorry you feel this way! Sometimes a tool just isn't fitted for your use-case, and that's ok 💙

Moving is no problem, Ploi is not in control of everything, in fact, it runs alongside of your server. If you cancel your subscription Ploi will never do anything to your sites or servers, so feel free to stop the subscription and manage the server via SSH itself 🙏

Without a doubt the BEST customer service I have ever experienced! The core product is beyond compare. The team have clearly spent a lot of time considering their own experiences and - most importantly - listening to their customers' feedback to continually make real and helpful changes.

Cannot recommend highly enough.

Easily the best server management solution out there.

As a front-end dev, Ploi has saved me thousands of £'s on devops related tasks. Perfect for those looking for a quick, intuitive way of managing their servers at a super affordable price with an extensive set of features.

Plus, the support from Dennis is incredible - quick responses to queries, hands on with any issues and really accommodating for new features etc.

Can't recommend enough.

Ploi is simply one of the best options out there

I’ve been using Ploi consistently for about 6 months at this point, and it I can safely say it is a great tool. It’s allowed me to fully automate parts of my business process, which has taken great strain off of my development team. While it’s definitely aimed at more standard use cases, like Wordpress, laravel etc etc it handles edge cases really well. We use Ploi to deploy docker containers (which it’s not designed for) and with only a little bit of fiddling it handles it really well.

I’d recommend Ploi in a heartbeat

Deployment is a piece of cake!

Using Ploi.io for multiple cases for around 2 years now and still use it on a daily base.
Comparing to other deploy services, Ploi.io definitely makes a difference with their features and active community.

I would recommend Ploi with 100% confidance.

Disappointed in the support quality

Generally, it's a good application. I'm already using it for a few months. But like some other customers, I'm also disappointed in the support quality.

On one of the servers I manage with Ploi.io, the connection to the database stopped working (access denied for root password).

I can manage databases manually, but it is fascinating how they just don't care about a problem like this and leaving ticket unsolved for 15+ days.

When syncing databases, Ploi.io displays 1 database with the name of an error. Looks like a bug to me, which I also explained, but looks like they also don't care if their features have some bugs.

I'm really thinking of migrating all servers to the alternative provider.

If you want to have reliable and fast support when something goes wrong... I can't recommend you this service.

Easy and maintainable servers

Setup a server, 1.2.3.. done. Install a laravel application, 1.2.. boom, done. Install Wordpress, don't know why you want to do this, but if you really need to.. 3.2.1.. done.

Node applications, loadbalancers, database servers, updates and so much more. 👏 It👏 is 👏 so👏easy.👏

Documentation 7/10 but the community on discord and the help from support is 10/10!

I could not imagine doing server & site management without Ploi ever again.

Not so great, even when it works.

I decided to give ploi.io a try, even though I felt they might not be a good fit based on my research. There are so many similar providers out there, and I have tried a bunch. I was hoping they offered the features I needed.

Let me start off by saying that I generally do not raise a ticket immediately whenever I need help. I try to find my way through any problem areas so I learn and thus I tend to have fewer problems/questions in the future. That said, there were a couple of things that were difficult to find, so I attempted to communicate via chat on their website.

I opened a chat request on 20220211. Despite adding to the chat window on 20220212 and 20220214, no one has ever replied via the chat window. Currently, there is a notice that the support staff typically replies in under 54 minutes. Maybe that should be 3 days and 54 minutes?

The ticket I raised was also on 20220211, and I received a reply after a bit. I cannot say exactly how long, because their ticketing system does not send an email when the ticket is created, and the ticket itself does not include the dates/times of the ticket updates. I also raised another ticket on the same date, and I did not receive a reply until much later. Same with a third ticket.

Their service does not seem to be any better than the others I looked at, although the pricing is similar. I did want to try them out to see if their control panel is easier to use than some of their competition, and it might be slightly better in some regards, yet much worse in others. Still, not as intuitive as some I have used. It also certainly lacks a lot of features.

I created a WordPress site to test, which was not a very smooth process based on my experience with other providers. Their system does not allow for the usage of anything other than a self-signed SSL cert on temporary domains. In order to use a Let's Encrypt cert, you must attach a domain name that Let's Encrypt can confirm. Some other providers also have this shortcoming, although some do not.

In the end, I am giving them a single star primarily for their horrible support. Not only not always available, not only because they are slow to reply, not only because they did not answer any chat request, and not only because the replies they did provide were not always clear. There is certainly some negative attitude behind the replies on these tickets.

Perhaps if their control panel were a little more intuitive, and their support staff was both more responsive and more professional, I could rate them higher. However, since zero stars was not an option, one star will have to do.

Edited after their reply: 90% of my review is based upon Ploi's horrible support. I can live with certain shortcomings on their platform because they might fix those in the future. I seriously doubt they are going to fix their horrible support because it is a recurring problem. Try them and you will see what everyone is complaining about.

This is a no-brainer

This is a no-brainer. Good value for money. Makes deploying servers and sites a breeze. Lots of options en integrations. I love it.

Using the service is always such a joy and powerful features keep getting added all the time.

If you're looking to move away from shared hosting and look after your own servers instead, give Ploi a try and you won't be disappointed.

Ploi is invaluable to my workflow

Ploi is great, I've been using Ploi for over a year and it does everything I want and more.

Being a Laravel developer primarily, I need access to Laravel features such as queues and artisan commands, which Ploi provides out of the box. Coupled with the excellent support, I'll be with Ploi for many years.

Beste service, zeer stabiel en énorm persoonlijk

Nooit problemen ondervonden met Ploi. Prijs-qualiteit is zéér uitdagend! In feite een zeer lage prijs voor wat je er voor krijgt. Enorm goede support (net geen 24/7) en er is een grote mogelijkehid voor het inbrengen van eigen ideeën en features.

Amazing tool for server deployment and management

I am using ploi.io for a couple of months now and host several servers with hetzner on it. I am really impressed how well everything works and the amount of features it provides compared to other solutions.
The one time I reached out to support they resolved my issue quickly.
I am currently in the process of moving a lot of projects from different deployment solutions to ploi.
