I can confirm what others have already written here and must also warn against this company. I also signed a lifetime contract with xHosts UK in 2025.
At first, everything was going smoothly, but then, after 10 months, they asked me to verify my identity. I followed their instructions. I uploaded copies of my ID, took some selfies, and submitted them. Everything went through successfully. Several weeks later, my account was suspended without any further explanation. My website and email addresses suddenly became unavailable.
After contacting support, I was told that there had apparently been some kind of issue with the identity verification process. However, they were unwilling or unable to provide any details. My account has now been closed. Despite my request, I was not given the opportunity to repeat the verification process or anything similar. I opened two support tickets and exchanged several messages back and forth. Everything was done in a very friendly tone, but I only received curt, standard responses and the statement that the hosting service had now been terminated. So I bought a lifetime package, which ended up only working for 10 months.
In my view, there’s a clear pattern here. Verification is being used as an excuse to get rid of lifetime contracts, which won’t generate any more revenue in the future. If you value good, reliable hosting, you’re better off looking for another company!
P.S. xhosts will probably respond here saying they’re sorry, but that the specified timeframe wasn’t met and that we should contact support. None of that is true, though—it’s clearly just an attempt to improve the company’s image on Trustpilot.

Wszystko było OK do czasu gdy nagle zażądali weryfikacji nie wiadomo czego. "Zaufana" trzecia strona zbiera zdjęcia ID w celu ochrony przed czym? Może jeszcze dodać nr karty kredytowej i PIN? Trzeba być szalonym, żeby udostępniać firmie takie dane jakby nie można było zweryfikować w inny sposób.
W komunikacja zapisano, że niektóre konta co właściwie oznaczało, że chyba wszystkie konta Lifetime. To nie jest żadne działanie w celu ochrony tylko w celu zamknięcia kont. Oczywiście nie można już dokonać weryfikacji, bo? Chcemy zamknąć Twoje konto więc spadaj. Na pewno nie będzie Ci żal tych kilku GBP i szybko zapomnisz. Rozczarowanie.

I’ve been using xHosts UK for years now and honestly I’ve been extremely impressed with the service. The performance has been fantastic – my sites load quickly, uptime has been excellent, and everything has been stable even during traffic spikes.

We strongly advise any business against relying on xHosts for their corporate infrastructure. As a company, we utilized their "Lifetime" hosting package for our website and employee email communications. Without any prior warning or valid justification, xHosts abruptly suspended our entire account, completely paralyzing our corporate communications and online presence.
The reason provided by their support was a missed "identity verification" deadline. However, this is demonstrably false. We received a general notification explicitly stating: "At this stage, no action is required."
We were promised separate instructions if verification was needed. Those instructions and the necessary link were never sent. We have fully documented dashboard and email logs to prove this administrative failure on their end.
When we contacted customer service to immediately resolve this alleged oversight, they rigidly refused to provide the verification link. Instead, they forced the termination of our paid contract and granted us a mere 24 hours to extract our corporate data before permanent deletion.
This arbitrary breach of contract resulted in significant financial and operational damages for our company:
Severe Business Disruption: Complete downtime of our corporate website and disruption of all employee email traffic.
Emergency IT Costs: We incurred substantial expenses for an emergency server migration executed over the weekend (incurring weekend surcharge rates).
Operational Overhead: Significant paid staff hours were wasted on configuring new servers, updating DNS records, and manually reconfiguring every employee's email client.
xHosts uses administrative loopholes to purge old "Lifetime" customers at the expense of their clients' business continuity. We are now pursuing full compensation for these financial damages through our legal insurance and have filed formal complaints with UK Trading Standards. If your business requires reliability, look elsewhere.
After opening a support ticket, I was told that my account had been canceled because a verification process had supposedly failed. The issue is that I had already completed this verification earlier without any problems on my end.
Support was unable to provide a clear explanation of why the verification failed. More concerning is that I was never informed about any issue or failure beforehand—I only found out after my account had already been canceled and I contacted support myself.
I was also told that re-verification is not possible, which appears to be a design choice by xHosts rather than a technical limitation.
Overall, the lack of transparency, communication, and flexibility in resolving the issue makes the service feel very unprofessional in my opinion.
UPDATE:
In response to my review, support stated that notifications about the verification requirement and deadlines had been sent in advance, and that the account was suspended because the process was not successfully completed within the given timeframe. However, this does not reflect my experience. I did complete the verification process, and I did not receive any indication that it had failed or that further action was required.
The response also emphasizes standard procedures and security policies, but does not address the core issue: that a completed verification was apparently not recognized, no failure was communicated, and no opportunity was given to resolve the situation before termination. This makes it feel as though responsibility is being shifted onto the customer without properly investigating or explaining what actually went wrong.

I bought a "lifetime hosting" plan and seven months after payment I received an email demanding government ID for verification. This requirement was never made clear at purchase. The email states that if I dont submit ID, my service will be permanently suspended within 3 weeks with no refund.
In my view the "lifetime" claim is a scam. Treating every customer as a potential fraudster is outrageous. Verification measures should be targeted when there is suspicious activity not applied retroactively to long-standing customers who actually never really used the service.

After several years of use, this UK-based hosting company requests your ID card and a selfie as part of a prevention update.... They think they are a bank. They know this is how they want to make a profit. In 20 years, I have only encountered one other Austria-based hosting provider that does this, but at least they ask for verification in advance. Outrageous!

One time I had a problem that I got 1 GB too less but the Support solved the Problem quickly.
I have nothing to complain and are completely happy with my purchase since around half a year.
