Today is my 4th call in on the matter; still hasn't been resolved. The customer service employees are sassy. They make you believe that they'll call you back... and what's for, I asked , why aren't you using emails like everybody else? I finally got an email today saying ill be refund in 14-21 days!!! And the employee answers" ah you happy now" in a sassy way! Lets see if my money is refund now!!! DO NOT BUY from their online store!! Thats my advise to you!

I requested the money back and Pier 1 told me that they're going to take 21 more days for my refund.....money at the store don't have the same value as the money paid online immediately....no sense 😕

If I could give negative stars, I would! Just a warning, do not order from Pier 1 online….their customer service is lacking and they do not accept any responsibility for their poor order processing time. I ordered Christmas dishes at the very beginning of December- a full week before their “order by” date in order to receive before Christmas deadline. It hadn’t even been SHIPPED from them until Christmas Eve….I tried to cancel many times when it was showing “in process” still. After many attempts to get a status, they told me I was not able to cancel the order after it was placed. Here we are on 12/28/21 and I still haven’t received the dishes and they are telling me if I want to return, I have to pay shipping to return and will get any money back in credits to spend in their online store. Also, I paid a much higher price than I could buy them for now AFTER CHRISTMAS. Grrrrr….save yourself the trouble and AVOID shopping there. I used to love shopping at Pier 1, but their online store does not have the same customer service their physical stores used to. I’ve tried their “chat”, phone calls and emails to them and they just don’t care. Super sad! Should have looked up these online reviews BEFORE I shopped. Let me save you the trouble!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SITE. I wish that I had checked out the reviews on Pier 1 before I ordered on line. This is NOT the Pier 1 that we all knew and loved. First, as I viewed the item, the ad said I could obtain the item for $22.40 by using a specific code rather than pay $27.95. I tried using the code and the website wouldn’t accept it after several tries. I went ahead and ordered it thinking that it would adjust the price automatically. When I called customer service, they would not issue a credit for the difference. I told them it was false advertising. After talking to a supervisor, the best they could do was to issue a Pier 1 credit. I never want to do business with them again! I called a second and third time to cancel the order after less than an hour from placing it. One person said I would have had to call within 15 minutes. (The item was not shipped yet!). If they had issued a credit, I would have been forced to use it as Pier 1 credit which would force me to do business with them again.
Inadvertently, I found a site with the same product for $12.95. INDEED THIS SITE IS A SCAM ALL THE WAY AROUND. IF THEY DO NOT SHIP THE ITEM, I WILL DISPUTE IT ON MY CREDIT CARD.

Tremendously terrible experience with Customer Service. Now that they have gone completely online, they have clearly lost the great customer service they once had. Wanted to speak to a supervisor, which equates to getting a call from someone, at some point, with no knowledge or insight to your complaint, and zero incentive to help. I am certain their run as a completely online service will be short lived. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE!
BEWARE: AUTOMATIC PIER 1 "SUBSCRIPTION"
The corrupt policies of this company, which I USED TO LOVE, are out of hand. THEY BILLED ME $40 (4 MONTHS) for "membership fees." I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHOP. Who signs up for membership with Pier 1? NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN. They refunded me 9.99. Do these huge companies have no honor anymore? Makes AMAZON look better all the time.
I ordered an item online
I ordered an item online. Just two hours after ordering I called to cancel my order and was told "I do not qualify for a refund." That's the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. I purchased an item in duplicate. Then, I was told to refuse the item or return it upon receipt... and that I would receive a refund that way.
Unfortunately, I returned the item the NEXT day. And here it is "two days" later right back on my doorstep with a REFUSED tag stuck to the box. Attempts to work this out via their customer support is useless. There should be a clear NOTICE on this website stating what their refund policy is BEFORE customers waste their time on this website.
There is absolutely NO CONCERN for customers at all. Shame on you Pier 1 for how you treat people.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS 'PIER 1' IT'S A SCAM
I purchased 2 end tables when I opened box there were dozens & dozens of parts I called my handyman knowing I would not be able to put together. Most handyman are busy & are not available at a moment's notice. When he arrived after 30 day 'refund' policy (as if they actually give refunds ) he discovered a support bar which stabilizes table was missing. Ok so I call customer service several times had to keep calling I couldn't understand all spoke broken english. After I was told I could not get a missing part for table since it was after 30 day return policy I asked for a supervisor which all 4 times I was told none available then I knew it was a scam. I had to leave my info with a rep who could barely speak English. I liked the tables but at this point I wanted to return obviously couldn't use them with major part missing but don't try to use logic with these foreigners doesn't work! I asked what I was suppose to do with a $600 purchase I have 2 lamps need 2 end tables so one doesn't do me any good!!! I am forced to take this to BBB If it still exists and I will go on every pier 1 ad on fb and bash this company which is NOT a legit company just more foreigners trying to scam us for our money! It's quite obvious after reading all these 1 star reviews 'Pier 1' has not responded & did not make good on any of these reasonable legitimate complaints m. You are a fool if you purchase ANYTHING from this scam operation!

Worst experience ever. I was a loyal customer for pier1 for many years until they closed their shops and went online. I ordered a runner rug. The rug arrived wrapped in plastic roll. I opened it and placed it at the entrance but noticed it was so slippery! I rolled it back and returned the plastic roll, then emailed pier 1 for a return label and refund but no response was received. Had to call twice and send couple of emails to get the label. The representative told me there is no refund, only store credit! This was not clear on the website. I went to fedex to return and Fedex refused to return using the original package says plastic won’t protect the runner! I paid 25$ for new packaging Waste of money do not purchase

I bought bed+ nightstands and painted the room accordingly to this bedroom, bought shades as well in the same colors.
In my order it said "preparing" forever... and in fact it still says so... I asked and then I was told I would never get this item due to shortage. I was offered others. When I claimed for refund plus some compensation (for the wait and for the money spent on painting and shades) I was told I would get the refund. Nothing til today. And today I was invoiced with a membership I NEVER ASKED FOR!!!!!

Don't try to get a refund
I ordered 4 items, 3 towel bars a toilet paper roll holder and a stainless steel plunger brush combo. I received the towel bars and toilet roll holder very quickly, so I would have given 5 stars BUT I did not get the SS plunger/brush. So I looked at my account and it said it was "being processed". This was almost a month ago. I needed that item so I went to store and bought one. I then contacted customer service to refund that one item, which they said they could not and would not do. I had to wait till it was delivered then ship it back for a refund. Wait it gets better. Then they said they would issue me a return mailer. Then they said they had insufficient info about my order and have repeatedly emailed me with similar claim. So now I am simply fed up and assuming I will just "eat" the $23 owed me. All of these emails are originating from who-knows-where.... At least it is only 20 bucks or so....buyer beware. I am back to ordering items on Amazon-never screwed up an order or return.
