FAKE Website scam!! wacht out!! BE CAREFUL cuidado pagina web falsa.
I have bought in the website, pierone.shop from Pier1 Import. add my credit card and I also have the print from my charge, but no news from the company any more, they never sent me a reply of my shipment, no answer after a few mails to complaint.

Also the website charged me in Pounds and the address is fake.

Do not order from this company. I had merchandise credit and wanted to use it. Entered the card number, clicked PayNow. Instead of processing my gift card, my credit card was charged ( as I later figured out, the credit card info got pre-filled at the verification step , which I guess is the new and exciting feature of today’s online shopping).. anyhow, as soon as I saw that confirmation with my credit card charged, I called their customer service to explain. He told me too late to cancel and anyhow..old gift cards are no longer working. I told him the only reason for my purchase was to use this gift card and begged to cancel. He put me on hold, then told me it is taken care of - he called processing department and they had approved cancellation. You already guessed it - my credit card is charged and now email comes stating the package is in the mail. And you all already know their return policy. Do my old gift card was cancelled due to their bankruptcy and now they took more of my money for stuff I don’t really need :( scam
Oh, and do yourself a favor and shop around - most items they sell you can find for half the price elsewhere. Including items I got with what I believed was old store credit card.. :(

I have been a Pier 1 customer for a long time when they use to have their brick and mortar stores. Since they have closed all their physical locations this was the first time I bought anything from them online. I want to share my experience and hope you don't end up with mixed feelings like me.

First, when you make you submit your online purchase make ABSOLUTELY SURE you know where the goods will be delivered. Because once you click submit there is no one that will be able to modify or change the shipping address. I literally spoke to at least 5 customer service reps, along with multiple online requests and still they could not change the shipping address.

Second, when you purchase online and decide a minute later you want to cancel your order that is NOT possible. This has to be the most bizarre company policy I have ever come across. They will NOT refund your purchase period. I was left with the impression that once they get your money it's a done deal.

Third, when you receive your goods and decide you don't want it YOU have to pay out-of-pocket for the shipping return costs. And then all they will do is issue you online store credit. Just make sure you understand their store policy.

Fourth, to give them credit some of the items I had purchased were discounted a few days later. Pier 1 was able to make the price adjustments and give me reasonable store credit. Very nice of them to do this.

Fifth, the paintings I ordered were shipped in a timely manner and were carefully packaged.

Overall, despite their strange corporate policy this was a good first-time experience buying online.

Stay far away from Pier 1. It is no longer a trusted name in home decor. The original store went bankrupt and was bought by a different company that is super sketchy. I ordered a $1500 sideboard. Received a notice that it shipped over a month ago. But nothing since. Tracking # provided is bogus. Can’t get an update over email or IM. Am concerned I got completely scammed. Also their fine print return policy says no refunds are available- only store credit… to use at a bogus company. Stay far away.

I ordered 2 wall art pieces. 1st arrived with minor damage. It was boxed that way. 2nd was delayed. I made 2 attempts to cancel order because of the length of time. NO RESPONSE. It arrived. I emailed 3 times for return instructions. No response.

Stay away from ordering on line. I ordered expensive piece of furniture. Came badly damaged due to hornless packing. I can not get any response to my inquiries and it has is been a long time. Full me once…

I ordered a rug online and never got a confirmation. They took the money from my credit card and never sent the rug. I emailed them and they said I could cancel, so I did then they issued a store credit. I did not want a store credit and wanted a full refund. Still fighting to get my refund. Poor customer service no one has responded. Don't order from Pier 1 Imports.

I know people always say “I never review,” but I truly don’t—however this experience has been such a massive headache.

Like a prior review mentioned, I had to chase customer support for updates on shipping my ($$$) order, but was met with a constant canned response, “a delay because of COVID-19.” They were never able to even ballpark an estimated ship date, so I decided to cancel after the fifth week of waiting and chasing support.

I had to battle my way to getting a full refund instead of the store credit that they pushed, and though it has been approved, I was advised it would take “14-21 days” for my funds to return to my original payment method. So we’ll see if that actually happens.

Adding salt to the wound, I am somehow subscribed to their CONSTANT newsletter and email promotions, but every time I follow the “unsubscribe” link, I am met with a 404 Error. Another ticket I’m now working to escalate.

If you’re still reading—just avoid. At all costs.

Do not buy from this company. Not what it used to be. They will not refund your money if after you place an order, they figure out they can’t ship the product “due to COVID 19”. This is April 2022. The only option they give me is to pick another product of similar value. No where it said the product was going to be delayed or was out of stock when ordered. Terrible. Do not fall for this declining company. I hope they go bankrupt.

Learned the hard way that Pier 1 online will do ANYTHING to SCAM you, and after being a loyal customer for so many years.

I ordered a KITCHEN ISLAND for over $600 that you assemble. I was not afraid of assembly to achieve what the photo showed supposedly would be the outcome. YET there was no way I would achieve what the photo showed because there were SO MANY problems up to only step 4 of 12 steps---metal cam bolts that were too big to go through holes, holes totally misaligned, wood dowels that either disappeared in the hole, or too big to attach pieces, or stick out so far, that they poke through the other side, which would show. A piece that totally falls off as you approach next step.

All this occurred by step 4 of 12 steps and was when I realized that I was GROSSLY MISLEAD with a very inferior product. I definitely could NOT achieve what the photo showed with such an inferior, China-made piece.

Did I get a refund?? NOPE. It was one fake run-around after another.

1) 20% off. NO I do not want 20% off of what is one problem after another after only 4 of 12 steps!
2) Store credit--NO, I do not want anything else from Pier 1 online to add up to over $600. I deserve a REFUND for this piece of junk.
3) Receive another one--NO WAY do I want another INFERIOR assembly that will NOT achieve what the photo shows.

Finally, they send a USPS label, meaning to package heavy pieces (in a non-existent cardboard box that had to be torn apart in the first place to get to all the pieces) and take over ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to the post office????? I am 5' 3" and weigh 115 lbs. There is NO WAY I can get that to the PO. SO DISAPPOINTED IN PIER 1.

VERY disappointed to be scammed and treated like this. Have reported this to the BBB and will next sue if I don't get my money back.

Do not order from Pier 1 Imports on-line! They take your money, but don’t send you what you have ordered! They refused to credit my credit card and I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. When I did that, Pier 1 called me and said they would credit my credit card if I cancelled the dispute and send me a gift for my inconvenience. That never happened. Still waiting ….. You also can’t call and talk to anyone. You have to contact them online and they say they will contact you in 24-48 hours. I’m beginning to think this company is totally a scam.

I ordered from Pier 1 and my order was confirmed. My credit card was charged. After several weeks I checked and the order still wasn't shipped so I reached out to customer service. They informed me that they did not have any more items in stock and it would not be fulfilled. They asked me to please accept store credit. I told them that I did not want store credit, I wanted my card refunded as the item was never shipped. They said they were going to escalate my case and would get back to me in 48 hours. I've never had a business insist on keeping my money for something I never got!

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering from Pier 1. Same as most, I loved their store, but the online experience has been a huge disappointment. I placed an order about a month ago and my orders status is still showing as “confirmed”. Contacted Pier 1 via email and was told that due to COVID my order will take longer to process and mail. I order from many different online companies and NONE have been this slow in processing and shipping. I think I just donated $50 to Pier 1. Never again will I order from Pier 1. Fool me once, same on you!

I have had nothing but problems with Pier 1. It used to be my favorite store. The first furniture piece I ordered was damaged. They did give me a refund after 2 weeks of going back and forth. The second item was incorrectly described on the website, basically false advertising. The 3rd item was never shipped. Every time I call they say 2 weeks. So disappointed. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Pier One makes really high quality furniture and the cutest indoor and outdoor kitchen dishes and décor. I bought some acacia wood outdoor furniture a few years ago from Pier One and it has held up so far pretty well but was a bit difficult to assemble.

I am incredibly disappointed in this online option with Pier I Imports. I have shopped for many years at their brick and mortar stores but, sadly, I will never shop here.
I purchased a canvas print, that I believe was wrongly advertised and when I returned I was given 1.5 times the purchase minus my shipping expenses.
I see now why they do this as their products have at least doubled in moving to online and even their products have gone down.
I am still in the midst of getting my money returned to my credit card, but after several chats and speaking with a real CS rep, I have now been referred to someone 'higher up'. It remains to be seem whether I will actually hear from them as this has been promised before. So frustrating for the consumer.

I concur with all the other comments submitted here about poor customer service. I, too, love(d) Pier1 and was sorry to see them go. One of my favorite stores. The same things reported on this website happened to me. Last week, I inquired about a rug I purchased online in December 2021. The multiple email replies from Pier 1 customer service started stressing me out because the “person” I was communicating with kept trying to do everything but refund me for the rug, that was clearly not coming. They kept escalating “the case”. I told them to cancel my order and refund me as I was done with this silliness. I even asked “Frank,” one of the customer service “people,” if he was a real person and “he” replied, “yes m’am!” but my husband, who works in the AI business, told me that Frank is definitely not a person. I was actually communicating with an artificially intelligent software designed to make customers think we are talking to kind, compassionate people. And their real customer service people are sassy. I just want my refund. I cannot use Pier1 again. Just know you WILL NOT get your money back if you need to return a defective item or cancel an order that is not coming. Pier1 needs to say on their website, “ALL sales are final. No refunds, no cancellations. Your money us ours.”

Can anything be done about this company and how much money they have stolen from people?!! I spent over $300 on nightstands back in 11/2021 and have called every single month about them. I keep getting the same customer representative Adam who says the same thing, "I will contact the warehouse team, I will escalate this for you, you will get an email in the next 1-2 weeks, etc" Today I called again and got angry and said listen- I'm obviously not getting these nightstands, I want my $ back. Same deal "oh we can't issue a refund only store credit. You should get store credit by email in the next 1-2 days, if you don't get an email call us Monday." This is a DIRTY business and in my opinion a scam. We need our money back!!!

Pier 1 is scamming people!!!!
They charged my credit card for months before I realized what was going on. I signed up for a coupon and the signed me up for a 9.99 a month charge to be a member! A member of what I was just ordering a Christmas present. They have to scam people to get money these days!

If I could give a Zero I would, but that isn't an option. I warn any and all from ordering from Pier One...ever. I used to LOVE the candles and room spray from the Oceans line. After Pier One closed I was so upset I wouldn't be able to enjoy the Oceans scent. When I saw it online I was overjoyed...and I bought ALOT...only to be disappointed that they changed the formula and it no longer smelled as good. When I called for a return I was told that I COULD NOT get my money back! I spent almost $200 on candles and room sprays and THEY changed it...now I can't get my money back...zero customer service. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was denied. Without being able to make a return and get your money returned, and not being able to see the quality of the product I WILL NEVER purchase from Pier One EVER AGAIN...and I strongly urge anyone who asks the same thing...
