Pier 1 has the worst customer service ever!
I ordered two throw pillows and two throw pillow covers. The pillows were fine, but the pillow covers, which came packaged together in the same bag, didn't go with my decor, so I went to great lengths to figure out how to return them. I finally received an email with two different return labels, via Fedex, attached, but no instructions. I chose the one that actually printed legibly and mailed back to two covers, still in the same packaging together. I received a credit for half of what I paid. I complained, and after MUCH back and forth was told they only received one pillow cover back and I should check with the shipping company. Ridiculous. So I spent my inadequate credit on two wine flutes that I later realized were HALF the price of Pier 1 at places like Target and Amazon. The crystal flutes arrived, but were terribly cheap looking. I will NEVER order from Pier 1 again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I too, like everyone in these reviews, ordered a product a month ago that I still have not received and has not been shipped. I already bought the product elsewhere, and wanted to cancel my purchase. They sent me and email saying they’d give me a store credit. I said NO, I want my money refunded to my credit card. Then they sent me an email saying they would refund my money, only to immediately send another email that the product had been shipped. I received no email about shipping update or a tracking number. 3 weeks later still nothing. I email them again and get the same BS store credit spiel, to which I say no again. Then I get an email that my product is delayed, it was never shipped. I said I want my money back not the product and they stop responding.

now i know why they went bankrupt. their online service sucks and they should be investigated. i have sent 4-5 emails about wanting to return an item and no one responds, you cant call anyone either. this should not happen to anyone. next i iwll be writing to the BBB.

I placed and order for furniture on 10/18/22 and my CC was quickly charged on 10/19/22. To date - no update on delivery status. Bogus order # when I try the "tracking" methods. I have sent multiple email requests for update and randomly was sent an "in store Credit of $69.42. My order totaled $404.84. The Customer Service number is no longer in service. Emails randomly get answered or returned. If you go to their website today - the furniture that I ordered is there and states "in stock". just DO NOT order from this site...... I am going to try to recoop money through my CC company - but doubtful.

I recently ordered an item from
Pier 1 Imports. They charge my credit card before I even received the item. I contracted my credit card company and explained that they were charging me for an item I had not received. I was advised by my credit card company to subtract the amount for the item from my credit card bill. They did not get paid. Luckily I noticed they were charging me for an item I never received. My advice would be not to order anything from Pier 1 Imports. They do not run an honest business. They are scam artists.

I ordered a a bed frame for almost $1000. Was supposed to be shipped in 2-4 business days. A month later after multiple emails sent to “customer support” with no answers to wear my bed is, I am taking legal action.

The worst customer service and deplorable return policies. They sent a damaged item that took over 20 emails, and threats to report fraud for them to send a return label and the issue is still not resolved months later.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. ITS A COMPLETE SCAM!!!! I ordered a sign for my front porch and when I received it the item was damaged. I immediately called them and the guy (who couldn't speak good English) told me to email photos of the damaged sign in which I did. He said they would send another one. Never received it. I have reached out by email several times with no response. They have since taken down their 800 number and you can only reach them by email now in which there is never a response other than someone will get back to you within 48 to 72 hours.

I ordered a rug on September 3rd. When it arrived 2 weeks later it was the incorrect item. I ordered a beautiful wool rug and got a cheap outdoor piece of crap. I immediately got on the phone and started the process to get it returned and exchanged. I am still dealing with this nightmare. If I could give 0 star I would. The worst shopping experience ever. Stay away from this fake store. I ordered the curtains and didn't like the color. They were unopened. I returned them online for store credit. I was able to speak someone to confirm they receive it. It was 4 weeks ago and I haven't receive my store credit. I was trying to call them but I was getting the message saying to sent an email. I sent it a week ago and still no respond. They are horrible. If you don't want to loose your money stay away. It's a big scam.

If I could give negative stars I would. Ordered glass top table,it arrived with glass shattered. At first they were very accommodating. I asked only glass be replaced,they insisted on replacing table. Problem was they only insisted,with no action of actually doing it. It took 1 month of weekly calls to finally get table shipped. Guess what, it was also broken. I never even received it,FedEx returned it to them. More phone calls then was told a new table would be shipped within 24-48 hours and I would receive email confirmation. No email 96 hours later, then I get an email stating they had issued me a gift card. Oh hell no, I paid with my credit card. Tried for two days to contact them. Now,their phone number directs you to a website to send an email. Which they won't answer,and have no way to contact them any other way. Always thought they were a good company,boy was I fooled! Beware,do not order from them.

As long as you don't plan to return anything, you might be OK. This retailer must have bought the rights to the Pier1 name, but they're absolute trash. I asked to do a return, they got back to me 13 days later saying the return would only be accepted within 30 days of purchase, which of course then it wasn't

To Pier1: when you’re putting together a new ad campaign,don’t forget to tell everyone that you changed your return policies so that the customer is STUCK with a store credit because you REFUSE to process a refund regardless of whether the customer spent $4.00 or $4,000! Also don’t forget to tell everyone that your “customer service” is essentially nonexistent. Oh and make sure that you mention how your promise of shipping out product within 3-5 business days is also a blatant lie. You folks should consider running for office. You certainly run your business like a politician.
Nearly Non-Existent Customer Service
I ended making the mistake of buying two glass candle holders from their site and what I received was the wrong color. I ended up contacting them the same day they got delivered with pictures of the incorrect items (9/3) and did not receive a response until 9/9, and guess what? A solution? NO! They said they were going to send my issue to the relevant department and that I would receive a response shortly. Was 6 days not enough? Was my support request in limbo or what?! Now it’s 9/17 and I have not heard back from them ever again. With that said, today is the day I file a chargeback with my bank. I’ve been too generous with waiting 2 weeks for a solution for a simple problem that’s due to their fault.
Take my advice, absolutely DO NOT buy from this website, just like multiple reviews have said, this not the Pier1 of the past. It’s now owned by a company who buys the names/intellectual rights of bankrupt companies and just uses their names and (your built trust) to pedal products and nothing more. With “service” like this, they’ll go bankrupt a second time.

Pier One is not what they used to be. I ordered beach towels and they were the worst ever. So paper thin and cheaply made! I will not be ordering again from them.
