The products are declining in quality and the customer service online is so bad. I didn't realize they don't have physical stores anymore, but it makes sense now. If you order something from Pier 1 and you are not 100% satisfied, just know that you won't get your money back.

Do NOT order from here. If there is a problem, i.e missing pieces, they will keep pawning you off and never address the issue. Luckily what I bought was $200 and not $2000. Worst company to buy from.
Lampshades were not the color I ordered.....
on 8/29/21 I ordered a set of 2 table lamps from Pier 1. They arrived with the incorrect color lampshades from what I ordered. Called Pier 1 customer service 9/5/21 and this is the process I must go through: 1) email photo of lamp shades to prove I had received them (why would I be contacting them if the order was correct in the first place? Pretty obvious I received the order.) I have a tracking number to prove that they were delivered by UPS, doesn't Pier 1 receive this information (pretty sure they do)? Pier 1 will contact me with the next step of the return process; they might send replacement. HOWEVER...Pier 1 only gives store credit; they do not refund any money. Believe Pier 1 makes the return process to tedious and time consuming that the customer will just give up and keep ordered items. I will NEVER order from Pier 1 again. I see now why Pier 1 has such dismal revews.
Horrible experience
Horrible experience! I ordered two large lamps, one arrived before the other; one was defective/broken. I followed the guidelines for a return. These guys want to send me a replacement part instead of the refund I requested. You cannot reach anyone on the phone, the chat feature sucks and I have two very large boxes with broken goods in one and the matching one I simply don't want. What a nightmare trying to get a return. I will NEVER order from Pier 1 online again!! The service has for sure slipped since they moved to only on-line.

I ordered a walnut TV cabinet
I ordered a walnut TV cabinet. I received a confirmation verifying the order and the color as walnut. When the cabinet was delivered, I opened it and discovered they had shipped me a charcoal colored cabinet. I called their customer service number and spoke to a person who told me they would arrange for Fed-X to return the cabinet and refund my Bank Card within 48 hours. This was after I told him I didn’t want to order a replacement. I received an email telling me how much they valued me as a customer and that they would refund me a 150% store credit towards my next purchase. I responded that I was not interested in a store credit and wanted them to refund the total amount of my purchase, including shipping and tax, to my Bank Card. That was not acceptable to them, so I called my Bank Card and contested the charge. After several more days, I received another email from Pier 1 with a return shipping form and again requesting me to accept a 150% store credit. Today I received another email from them saying they had made an “exception” and had refunded the total amount to my bank card. Amazing!!!

I purchased a oil free trinket is what I’m calling it 😆 it was a Woden ball that was infused with a oil smell and a tiny little base to set it on.. the wood ball was the size of a gulf ball… it was ridiculous like how is that going to do a room any good for a scent.. the picture looks nothing like what I ordered… my fault 🤦♀️ I should have read the dimensions… soooooo disappointed 😔

I would give this place a 0! Worst customer service and they don’t know how to just issue a refund. I just placed my second order with them after losing about $20 returning something I found a lot cheaper somewhere else. My cart did not match the invoice that the company sent me. I even screen recorded my cart before I clicked submit and have a confirmation picture that does not match my email. I am beyond frustrated with having to deal with them once again for messing up an order.

I ordered 4 dining chairs online totaling over $2,000. Once received (later than promised) they did not appear as pictured online and did not fit well in the space. I immediately replied to the email to the confirmation email to initiate the return process which got dragged out for days due to their slow response time. When they finally confirmed the return they sent me a link to their return policy which states they only give store credit and in select circumstances at that. I called to speak with someone verbally and was told that they do not refund money for any purchases and would receive store credit and 20% of my purchase back in "cash". This is not something that is told to customers prior to purchase! When viewing items and clicking the "Add to Cart" feature there is nowhere where it states a return policy or provides a link. When checking out there is nowhere where it states the policy or provides a link. When you receive email confirmation there is nowhere where it states the policy or provides a link. Had they do so I would have canceled my order and not even taken the risk of receiving an unwanted item for $2,000. Then to give me store credit when I cannot go to any in person store and get a good look at another product in person because they are all closed is a slap in the face. I will NEVER shop at Pier 1 ever again and advise everyone else to avoid them at all costs.

A company bought out should not be able to keep the name if they aren't going to live up to the standards. I've had issues from day 1.
I had a gift card as a wedding gift that I went to use and they wouldn't let me use it because of the new ownership. They offered me only a $50 gift card in replacement.
When I went to use the $50 it didn't go through and charged my card. I contacted immediately and received zero help after speaking with 3 different people and talking in circles.
Everyone I've spoken with has been absolutely awful. They've only told me what I wanted to hear and not facts. No one can do anything to help me.
This is a scam and a joke of a company. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM PIER 1!!!
It's all the product you can find on Amazon anyway.

It is not a place I would do business with. I didn't find a disclosure saying my item was nonrefundable. I contacted within 30 minutes of delivery because it wasn't as expected. Then I was told to avoid paying shipping return, I could receive a store credit. I opted to pay the shipping return. Then I was told either way I could only receive a store credit. Never again. $$$ wasted for sure

Wonderful Representative!
Joseph, a representative for Pier 1, was very helpful and followed through with his job responsibilities! I ordered a set of dishes and I had three that were broken during shipment. Joseph made sure my three pieces ,that were broke, were replaced. I receive the three in the mail today and they were packaged correctly! There aren’t to many people out their who following through on a complaint or request. Joseph, is the exception! He did a great job

I ordered a doormat from this company, and the following day I received an e-mail from them saying they could not ship my item to my PO BOX address. Ok, fine - I provided them an alternate address. I got a reply confirming they had updated my address and would notify me when my item shipped. I received ANOTHER e-mail on Monday, stating that they could not ship to a PO Box and needed a physical address. So I replied back AGAIN providing a physical address. I received a confirmation that they had updated my records. I received a tracking number later that day. This morning (Thursday) when I clicked to track and see where my item was - they had attempted to deliver to my PO Box address! So I guess now I won't get my item. My local UPS distribution Center will only hold your item a couple of days and are only open a couple of hours day, and I'm at work during those hours.

I ordered my mom 3 table runners for Mother’s Day. They were not cheap…..until she opened them! OMG! Cheapest looking things I have ever seen! Looks like someone cut up a sheet and called it a runner! I was so embarrassed! What poor quality! I am VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY OF PIER ONE ONLINE!
Extremely Poor Quality
I ordered a mirror that arrived looking damaged and had several defects. It appeared to be used. They would not refund my money but only offer store credit of 125%. Okay fine. Fast forward I order a storage basket using the store credit, and when that arrived it would not stand up on it's own and also appeared dirty and used. I decided to just end up keeping it being that I did not want to receive another store credit and be forced to order more crappy, defective items. And on top of that they charged a $20 shipping fee which is absurd! I WOULD NOT order a single thing from this company ever again. The old Pier 1 is long gone. The products they are now selling are overpriced garbage!
Awful, save your money friends.
I tried to place an order with the appropriate amount to obtain free shipping. After the fact I realized I didn't actually get free shipping, so I immediately cancelled the order, (it was due to an item being out of stock by the time I paid for my order).
I was offered a refund of 125% on a gift card, I took this option as I still wanted the cushions I originally ordered. Come to find everything they have is so expensive, there really wasn't anything else I needed that would make sense at that price point. So, I found 2 other overpriced cushions to complete my order. Again, all I wanted was 2 yellow floor cushions.
I received an email the following day that apparently the yellow cushions are out of stock with the vendor, and they have have no way to get them. Pretty much sounded like a discontinued item. They asked if I wanted another giftcard. Unfortunately all I wanted was the yellow cushions, so I asked my original payment be refunded.
It has been 2days and I have gotten no response. Also, the cushions show up as still available via their website. To me it's almost like they are trying to scam people into ordering things, only to end up not actually having them. Otherwise why wouldn't they mark the cushions as out of stock?
I just want my money back.
Would definitely not order from them again.

Do not buy from them. It’s a scam. I ordered an item that they later tell me they don’t even have in stock. Tried to get me to buy something else which I did not want. Then they tell me 14-21 days to get my refund. I wait 21 days then they try to tell me 21 “business days”. Never got my money. Don’t ever buy from them. This is the worst service ever.
