Renewed at wrong date and wrong price
This policy was renewed via their website on Monday 9th March 2026. On Tusday10th March we received a telephone call from a representatives to state that the policy had been renewed effective 26th March, when the old policy expired 3 days earlier. Also, the renewal premium paid (£154.20) was more than that had been quoted within the on line customer Insurance Account.(129????) The rep stated that this discrepancy was because the policy was new business and not a renewal. We do not understand how any of this occurred as the transaction was conducted within the customer account area. On confirming we of course wanted continuity of cover, the representaive checked the new price which was even lower at £119. However, because the original policy was being cancelled, the £55 cancellation fee swallowed the difference.
I have retained all your emails relating to the renewal, which start on 28th February with a renewal invite, followed the same day with a lowest quote email of £141.74. We were on vacation at the time. Next email on 8th March had lowest quote £154.20. So on return we have renewed at that price. It was slightly higher than some other offers but not worth the change.
All very confusing and if there was an original renewal off of £129 why was it not flagged and why the discontinuity of start date requiring a cancellation fee of £55, due to no error on our part as the transaction all conducted through your portal.
Please investigate and advise what happened as it may affect other customers. You may also wish to consider wabving the cancellation fee before we complete you request for Google feedback

Almost impossible to get anyone on the…
Almost impossible to get anyone on the phone outside of the sales process. Chatbot doesn't even understand the question and leads you in circles. Standard online procedures were not an option as they had an obsolete email address of me, I needed to talk to a human. Hours of life wasted.
