Received renewal notice for my caravan insurance and surprisingly it was a lower cost than last year for the same cover. It was easy to navigate the Web site and renew my insurance which was followed... Se mer

Quick and east to renew my car…

Quick and east to renew my car insurance,with great communication from start to finish, the quote wasnt over inflated as most insurance companys claim this and that as an excuse to balloon your price, their prices more or less in line with inflation, so overall would highly recommend.

No Renewal Due Email Recived

I got an email 6 weeks before my policy was due, not saying that my renewal was due on the 17th of April or giving me a renewal price, it just asked if I'd turned on auto renewal? (no chance, horrible idea).

Then when I logged on 3 weeks before the policy was due, the price was £120 staying as I was, or £109 but the excess was £50 higher. I thought these were both very good prices, until I looked into the breakdown of it.

Of the £120 I eventually went with, £78 was the insurance price, and £42 was a broker fee. More than half of the actual insurance price to people who didn't even bother to mail me to tell me it was due, only to ask if I'd turned auto renewal on?

I understand the brokers have to make money, but this year it hasn't really been earned in my opinion.

We contacted you via email to advise you of your policy renewal and to request that you log in to review the renewal quotation and any associated documents requiring your attention. Please note that this correspondence may have been delivered to your junk or spam folder.

We’re sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the broker fee applied. As an insurance broker, we incur administrative and regulatory costs when arranging and renewing policies with insurers and aggregators. The Financial Conduct Authority allows brokers to charge a fee that is considered fair and reasonable to cover these costs. Unfortunately, waiving this fee would require us to absorb these expenses, which we are unable to do.

Our broker fees are clearly outlined in our Terms and Conditions, which are provided and accepted prior to the purchase or renewal of any policy.

Using the app

Using the app. Without making a phone call. Price was dearer than offered elsewhere. But not by enough, for me to change.
