I ordered a product from Pepperfry.com…

I ordered a product from Pepperfry.com last month and paid the full amount upfront. At the time of purchase, they gave me a delivery date of August 7. I waited patiently, but the item was never delivered—even beyond the promised date.

Worse, I contacted their customer care multiple times via email, and every time I received the same automated reply: “Your product will be delivered on or before 7th August.” Even on August 8, I got the same copy-paste response. There was no way to speak to a real person, no proper escalation channel, and absolutely no customer service to resolve the issue.

They also refused to cancel the order or issue a refund, leaving me stuck with no product and no support. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a scam—they took my money and failed to fulfill their basic promise.

⚠️ Please be cautious before purchasing from Pepperfry. This kind of irresponsible behavior and lack of accountability is shocking, especially for a big platform.

Worst Pepperfry

Pepperfry Bangalore: My Worst Experience

This has been my worst and most pathetic experience with Pepperfry. The service is terrible, and the company’s overall approach is highly disappointing.

I had ordered a shoe rack that was supposed to be delivered on the promised date, but it wasn’t. There was no update or communication regarding the delay. I had to initiate contact myself, which was another challenge—they mostly prefer chat over calls. On chat, I kept getting the same automated responses from different people, with no real resolution.

After 2–3 days, the product was finally delivered—but it wasn’t what I had ordered. I showed the delivery person a picture of the actual product I ordered, but he simply said, “We’ve been told to deliver this, please contact customer care.”

To make things worse, Pepperfry had charged me for an assembly service, but the product came already assembled—and damaged. The plywood on the shoe rack was coming off. I raised a complaint with customer service, and they asked me to share pictures. Initially, they suggested a replacement, to which I agreed. But again, there were no updates—neither from the customer care team nor on the app (which is completely useless, by the way).

After two days, I told them I no longer wanted a replacement—I wanted a return instead. I had lost confidence in their delivery and was unsure about the product quality. They agreed, but again, I received no updates. I had to keep following up through chat and calls.

On calls, they would tell me the pickup would happen in 5 days. On chat, I’d get the same automated responses with no real answers. It was extremely difficult to connect with their customer support.

It took nearly 12 days for them to finally pick up the product—after endless calls, chats, and emails. They asked me to send emails, but never responded. Instead, I received automated replies stating that my query was “resolved” even though nothing had been done. At one point, they even sent emails claiming I had denied or canceled the pickup, which was completely false.

The entire process was frustrating. Due to this delay, I couldn't even buy a replacement product. I suggested that if they couldn’t pick up the product, they should at least refund me and collect the item whenever they wanted. Finally, after a long struggle, they took the product back, and I received my refund.

Even my family members have faced similar issues with Pepperfry regarding product quality, delayed delivery, and the return process. Despite that, I took the risk of ordering—but it turned out to be a big mistake.

My sincere advice: DO NOT buy anything from Pepperfry.
The service is poor, the product quality is bad, and customer support is completely unhelpful.

Instead, go for local stores or trusted online furniture platforms like Home Centre, Urban Ladder, or Maple. I hope this review helps you make a better decision before purchasing from Pepperfry. @Pepperfry

ordered a wardrobe from Pepperfry…

ordered a wardrobe from Pepperfry expecting quality and professionalism, but what I received was an absolute nightmare.

The product arrived damaged, with cracks in multiple places, and a gap between the doors that makes them unusable. Even the carpenter sent by Pepperfry admitted that the wood used is of very poor quality and won’t last.

I raised a complaint immediately and have been following up via calls, chats, and emails for days — but there has been zero proper response or resolution from Pepperfry’s end. Every time, I get the same scripted replies and no real action.

I clearly asked for a full refund and reverse pickup, but they have done nothing so far. This kind of service is completely unacceptable, especially from a brand that claims to be trustworthy.

My advice: DO NOT buy furniture from Pepperfry. Poor quality products, even worse customer support, and absolutely no sense of responsibility once they take your money.

The experience with pepper fry is one…

The experience with pepper fry is one of the worst ever I have experienced. Products are not that great when compared with the price. But the worst part is their customer service. They do not respond to you from the moment the payment is done. they dont receive call if they know that the particular customer is calling, do not reply to messages as well. By mistake if they receive call, they give other person's number, They make reasons not to talk to you by saying Out of station, not reached the store, Having lunch nd so on stories. I had to hit my head dealing with the unprofessional staffs there.. I wont suggest this outlet as so... many other brand stores available at banglore..but No Pepper Fry again!

Delivered a damaged sofa
No quality check
Cancelled order on May 27 — still no refund
Warehouse kept trying to re-deliver
Support team completely clueless, giving conflicting updates

On June 12, I was told the damaged product was “fixed” and asked if I still wanted it!

This is not just poor service — it’s a complete failure of process, ethics, and basic customer respect.

Ashish Shah, as the CEO of Pepperfry, do you stand by this?

I’ve waited patiently for weeks. Now I’m going public. If this doesn’t get resolved, I’ll be escalating further — through consumer forums, legal action, and every platform available.

Customers deserve better.

Very very worst quality regarding finishing manufacturing wood quality varnishing etc
Very much careless even after second time replacement, unfinished putting, cracked wooden pieces are pasted somehow, nail ends are open somewhere and so on. Possibly the products are used products.

I strongly urge everyone to steer clear of buying any furniture from Pepperfry. Their showroom sales team at Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore, is full of promises — but the reality is a nightmare. I purchased a 3-door cupboard just 8 months ago with a 3-year warranty, and the door lock is already jammed. Despite repeated attempts to get help, their after-sales service has been non-existent.

don't go to Pepperfry for buying

Never buy anything from Pepperfry. Their products are of very poor quality, and they supply defective items. I was cheated by their Bhandoop branch, imagine how their online service would be. Their customer service closes your query without resolving the issue. I would never recommend buying furniture from Pepperfry. Worst in terms of both quality and customer service."

This was the WORST online shopping…

This was the WORST online shopping experience we’ve had .
The customer service is absolutely useless . They don’t solve any problems and concerns and all they do is apologise and day they will write an email to the higher authority (don’t know who that might be).
The delivery was delayed by 4 days when my order was placed on the pretext of being expedited .
Loads of lies , zero delivery .
DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Pathetic Experience with Pepperfry

I bought a three door wardrobe . The uninstalled wardrobe was delivered on 29th April . Today its 3rd May , still no one came to install the wardrobe . Pathetic Customer care and service . They keep saying within 2 days and that 2 days has still not ended . The uninstalled wardrobe is still lying dont even know the quality of the product . Its a horrific experience . No more pepper fry ever . Such cheaters are they .

Fake company, Fake products, No support

I ordered a bed from this website, When reached i saw that the dimensions are not correct as mentioned. So I raised a request for the same. They are keep me waiting by saying wait for 1 day, 2 day, 4 days. I'm stuck and not getting any solution. Looks like a fake company.

Extremely Poor Experience – Misleading Store Advice & Delayed Delivery

They don’t deserve 1 star either,
We placed an order for a 3-door wardrobe at Pepperfry Banaswadi on 31st March. The store attendant encouraged us to pay via an Amazon gift card, claiming we’d get a 5% discount—without informing us that gift cards are non-refundable. Delivery was promised by 5th April, but kept getting postponed daily without clear updates. After endless follow-ups, we cancelled the order on 12th April.

We were left with a Pepperfry voucher we didn’t want, and when we returned to the store to reorder, the product price had increased and the original 7% exchange discount was reduced to 4%. We were told “that’s the new policy,” despite this entire mess being due to Pepperfry’s own delays.

The store even tried to go ahead with the old wardrobe exchange despite the order being cancelled, and only stopped after we pushed back. When we questioned the payment misguidance, we were told to “talk to Amazon” or “check with ICICI Bank”—completely washing their hands of the issue.

This has been a frustrating, time-consuming experience with no accountability. We expected better from a brand like Pepperfry.

I had purchased multi colour floral 220 tc bedsheet from pepperfry but quality & colour is not matching as shown in app , when I made a complain & request for return of item they simply refused to return the item saying that item as per app I had very bad experience and. I will never purchase any item from pepperfry app

NEVER EVER EVER EVER BUY from Pepperfry

I would give Pepperfry LESS THAN ONE out of million for the experience I had with them .

HORRIBLE, FRUSTRATING, HUMILIATING are really understatements if I have to describe my experience and how I feel at this point of time about Pepperfry.

I ordered an L Shaped Recliner Sofa for Rs 1,10,000 (PREPAID) and the furniture arrived damaged . Hence, I rejected delivery the same time and sent an email to the customer support team with pictures of the damage and asked for a refund .

It’s been almost 20 days now since I’ve sent this email out and the only things that have happened till now are :

I get an email from Pepperfry saying they tried to reach me and that they couldn’t reach me and then somehow the next day I answer their call and when I ask them
about my refund status, they tell me they will talk to their internal team and get back.

They don’t give me a call back and I once again send them another email asking them about the refund and once again they reply saying that they tried to reach me and that they couldn’t reach me.

Then I happened to pick up their call the second time and when I asked them about the refund, they say the same bloody thing that they need to check with their internal team .

Then the email once again saying the same thing .. I feel like I’m running on a hamster wheel getting absolutely no resolution at all from these people .

1,10,000 is not a small amount and the same email and phone call cycle has happened more than 10 times so far .. and I can’t tell you how irritated I am with them.

I am warning you all to please keep away from Pepperfry and NEVER means NEVER make the mistake that I’ve made .

They should close down soon with the kind of pathetic reviews they have on Quora and Trustpilot .

I only wish I saw these reviews before I made my buying decision from them . This is by far the BIGGEST MISTAKE I have ever made !

Pathetic Product and After Sales service of Pepperfry

I purchased a bed from #pepperfryfurniture expecting good quality and comfort for my aged parents, but unfortunately, it has been a huge disappointment. The bed suddenly broke within a short time, the sidebeam of the snapped. It was stuck together with glue. Who the hell glues the side seams of the bed!

To make things worse, their after-sales service has been extremely unhelpful. Despite multiple attempts to contact them for a resolution, finally they responded to replace the very same bed with another where root cause of the issue still lies. My aged parents escaped with very minor injuries.

We expected better quality and service from #pepperfryfurniture as they advertised , but this experience has been frustrating. If you’re considering buying from them, think twice!!! They are just resellers who don't have any control over quality.

#pepperfryfurniture just another online retailer with Poor Quality third-party products and abysmal after sales service.

I am absolutely disgusted with the…

I am absolutely disgusted with the service and product quality from Pepperfry! I ordered two expensive sofas, and the cushion quality is absolutely horrible. When I requested replacements for the cushions, it's been almost 3 months of constant back-and-forth with no resolution. They keep promising delivery "next week," yet nothing has been delivered.

To make matters worse, today, the employee at your Ludhiana Pepperfry shop in Omax told me that he would personally buy the cushions with his own salary and deliver them to me! Is this how you treat your regular customers?! This is beyond unprofessional and insulting.

Shame on you, Pepperfry, for offering such poor-quality products and customer service. It's been 3 months of harassment and absolutely no solutions to my problem. Never again will I trust your company for anything!
