**⭐ 1 Star – Avoid GS Law / Ageas Law at All Costs**

I had a non-fault road traffic accident in **November 2023**. The other driver admitted liability immediately by text, and I provided full evidence (photos, receipts, witness info). Nearly **two years later**, the case is *still* not settled.

Throughout the process, communication has been appalling — repeated requests for the same information, constant staff changes, and long periods with no updates. I was told of **data breaches and cyber incidents**, but never reassured how my information was being protected. Calls and emails often go unanswered, and when they do respond, the tone is dismissive and unhelpful.

The service is so disorganised it borders on negligence. I was promised around **£5,000**, but I’m now being offered **£900**, which doesn’t even include my **£500 excess** — despite that being submitted multiple times. When I phoned to query this, I was spoken to with total disregard.

The only reason I ended up with GS Law / Ageas Law was because **Tesco Insurance allocated them** — otherwise, I would never have chosen them. This firm feels chaotic, under-trained, and uninterested in clients.

**Summary:**

* Case unresolved after 2 years
* Poor communication & repeated admin errors
* Data breach & zero accountability
* Disrespectful tone from staff
* Out-of-pocket £500 ignored

I’m sharing this so others can avoid the same experience. If you’re assigned them through your insurer, **insist on a different solicitor immediately**.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This company does not even deserve 1 star.

Shambolic from start to finish - and I use the word ‘finish’ lightly as my case has not been handled to finish.

It has now taken so long with such awful service that the THREE YEAR window to settle a claim has passed.

Shocking, awful service.

Please avoid at all costs.

NewLaw helped us with a complex probate case and made it look easy. We cannot speak highly enough of our Case Manager Tara Kennedy, she went above and beyond what we expected and communicated effectively and professionally. The work was done for fixed fee and we rate the service received as good value.

Avoid this firm!!. They are incompetent and don’t work for you as their client. Very inexperienced and keep requesting the same information.

if you get these incompetent and ridiculous company to represent you i highly recommend you demand it be moved to another company!!
repeated appologies fo not doing anything on claim, repeating requests for information they already have on file, ow and did i tell you its been nearly 4 years, 4 YEARS and its still not sorted all because they keep and i quote "forgetting to send things to the other side to settle the claim".

awful awful company, MP involved and we are reporting to the Ombudsman as well!! disgrace of a company and i use that term lightly as a company this bad shouldve gone into administration or been struck off years ago!

I feel sorry for their client! I was a witness to an RTA accident. I supplied a detailed statement to their clients insurers in June,2025. They have sent a text today asking me to call them! Not very professional! I rang and they only answered the phone after about 3 minutes. I asked why they needed a further statement and why they couldn’t simply liaise with their mutual clients insurers to obtain a copy. They incorrectly stated they needed a separate statement which is not correct. I asked to speak to someone in charge as it was obvious the lady I spoke to didn’t know what she was talking about. I was told I couldn’t as I hadn’t passed data protection 😂 I pointed out I was a witness not a client - no questions had been asked - I again asked to speak to someone in charge and they just cut me off! No wonder the claim has not been settled with poor standards in all areas!

If i could give a zero i would!! Shocking… always a excuse why next step not been takin, got told twice that claim was in negotiation.. to then be told its not and something is missing! Send me to specialist!! But because i went and got my own scans!! Its a issue!! This has been going on for over a year and a half!! My injury took a year! And all done via own physio! Via nhs.. AVOID THIS COMPANY, if you get free with car insurance.. DO NOT PAY put money aside and pay for your own, HAVE REPORTED TO MY OLD INSURANCE, now on my second complaint letter!

Still currently have my claim with newlaw. All i have done since day one is have to chase them up on everything.
I had an appointment back in may and still waiting to hear something back. I am told the same thing every time I call and caught them lieing about dates and blaming others for delays. I raised a complaint with newlaw themselves and low and behold i didnt hear anything back! Take out what money you get from your claim, people also claim due to medical priorities! However I'm sure once it's all over there will be no delays on them taking the 20% fee for doing absolutely nothing. Would never recommend them.

They are worse solicitor ever, my claim been over one year and a half never heard any good news about my claim. I have to call all the time to get updated and when you call they start asking you new questions.totally waste of time. I do not recommend anyone.😡

Hi I'm back again these people had my case nearly 3 years and saying time is running out had no correspondence from them just a couple of times then eventually after complaints 8 weeks on there team leader contacted me asking for me to agree to everything they are saying and asking me to agree to a untrue medical statement my reply back i can't agree to this and asked them to contact the expert to amend he's report for my case they refused, they did not like my reply and termination was put on my case causing me unbelievable stress i have mental health issues these people have no care in the world for people with disabilities they just push you to agree with what they say, if not they will terminate your contact , without proper warning can this really be happening im back to the beginning because of there actions and slow poor service, please please come forward anyone else having issues with this company they don't like the truth, also threatening me with a £3.000 bill. Financial ombudsman has been informed

They are awful. I really should have checked reviews before giving them my case, but they phoned within hours of the accident and therefore made the decision too quickly.

Once they have you sign the agreement, have a doctors and income report they do nothing and you receive no communication. The accident was over 10 months ago and it shows under review on the portal. You can speak to people but you hold and to be honest it's pointless, I'm not sure if the people you talk to do not understand what is happening or they lie about the reasons it has not been dealt with. I have gone through complaining twice and been told the case will be fast tracked no sign of anything and on the portal it is still "under review". Amusingly my case is tiny so I have better things to do than sit on the phone trying to get some sense. The only thing that worries me is that they receive the money from the insurance companies and do nothing to pass on to you since I have had a letter from HMRC regarding income. Seriously stay away from these people.

Nearly 4.5 years on and still nothing. Worst company ever!! Not sure how they can call themselves solicitors. Useless at replying to emails and saying they’ll call you back and never do! And when you do speak to someone they laugh at you down the phone!! Avoid them at all cost, 4.5 years on from my rta and still no further ahead at all.

Tara Kennedy worked with me with great empathy during the probate and estate of my late husband. Tara has supported me with the legal issues and has been very understanding of my circumstances and have worked with me to support with the Trust of my children. You have 24 hours to get into proper contact with me (not I’ve updated your portal) before I take this to the legal ombudsman

Second review posted. After my initial review New Law sent a request for information which I provided. I have heard nothing since (8 months ago) and as usual no reply to my emails.

Really poor customer service for something that’s meat to be their bread and butter.

Don't go with this company very dishonest waste a good year and a half then dropped me a stone .

Absolutely terrible!
Had my car accident 3/2/25. All evidence was sent straight through and still no word on my claim. Tried emailing a couple of times but no response.

I have a claim from February and the last time I heard from them is February I have emailed them multiple times with no responses back and they said email is the best way to get in touch with them yet to see this I just want to know what is going on with the claim, I have never known a company be so bad to keep in touch with

10 months on and still no resolution, no response whatsoever from countless emails I have sent over the last few weeks .Ryan from New Law seemed to have my case under control 6 months in , plenty of updates but now this has dried up to absolutely nothing , no updates no response, very very frustrating, and with viewing all the other negative reviews on here now is really quite concerning

Do not use this company.
I started a claim nearly 4 years ago and New Law has shown nothing but utter incompetence at every step of the process.
I got life altering injuries from a car accident that wasn't my fault.
The "medical specialist" they sent me to examined me for a total of 2 minutes and determined my injuries were only worth £4000 and im still yet to recieve a penny nearly 4 years later.
When I contested the results, they said we'd have to start the process from the beginning.
It took them 3 years to get me to their "specialist".
They knew i wouldn't start from scratch again.
Using them was the worst decision I've ever made.
I have friends who got very minor injuries in accidents and used different solicitors based on my advice and received 10 times the amount im getting and within a year.
New Law is an amateur company at very best.
