Do not buy this product. I ordered it two months ago and it has not shipped yet. They do not have a phone number for you to call to ask about order status, questions about setting up the feeder, or to speak with anyone. Chatbot only. The high cost of this item suggests you will have a good customer service experience. You will not. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

The camera on my Hummingbird feeder was not capturing birds. They diagnosed the problem and sent me a new camera under warranty.
The camera is working fine and lots of hummingbird post cards.

BirdBuddy's chat feature to the rescue
I used BirdBuddy's chat feature to begin troubleshooting a problem I was having with my nine month old fancy feeder. They responded via email the same day (and it was a weekend!),diagnosed the problem, and let me know that they will send a replacement part to me free of charge. I was presently surprised. I reached out twice shortly after getting my feeder last Christmas and got zero response. I managed to diagnose that first problem on my own. I'm happy to report that they have most certainly gotten their customer service act together. This feeder is a blast! We love it.

DO NOT TRUST THIS SHADY COMPANY! I bought a pre-order bird feeder as a gift for my sister. They promised delivery in August. It comes with a “one month trial” of a companion app, fine. What they don’t tell you: the one month trial happens BEFORE THEY DELIVER THE PRODUCT, and they auto-charged me over $100 without warning for an annual subscription… for a product I still don’t have! How is that even legal?!

I pulled my hummer buddy out of summer…
I pulled my hummer buddy out of summer storage and it would not charge. I contacted mybirdbuddy.com and their staff quickly responded to my issue. We tried several different ways to fix the problem but within several days they offered to send me a replacement camera contingent on me returning the broken camera. And in several days my new replacement camera arrived. It is now operating and just in time for hummers returning to my area for the winter. Thank you.

Extremely frustrating setup
Extremely frustrating setup - numerous false messages that the camera was out of the feeder, which precipitated multiple checks and re-mounts, followed by hard restart after hard restart. Liveview wouldn’t ever work. I tried two separate WiFi networks, both of which had strong signals. I just gave up. Suddenly, just as the free tryout for the app expired, it worked. Untouched by me. Hmmm. I’ll keep it, as it was a gift anyway, but I’d never buy this, and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who isn’t adept at handling technical glitches. And if it wasn’t a gift, it would be in small pieces in the recycle bin.

The camera on this device is finicky
The camera on this device is finicky. When working the pictures are great. However it too often loses its wi-fi connection and has to be reset.
Also it is inconvenient to refill from the back. I understand the back door provides access to the camera, but the roof should also hinge to make refilling from the top possible.

The people at Birdbuddy were very responsive and very helpful. They sent me new replacement parts for my feeder after squirrels knocked it down and broke parts of it. They sent them quickly and at no charge.
