Bird Buddy created a Kickstarter project, I can't link it so just search Kickstarter for Petal and Wonder Blocks, raising over 2.4 million dollars. They have stopped updating the community, the last update was March 2026, and continue to post these types of comments when backers ask for updates.
"you’re right to expect more regular communication, and we’re sorry we’ve left you without the updates you deserve."
Far and away the worst Kickstarter experience I've ever had, even with projects that have had significant delays, the creators consistently updated us along the way.
Bird Buddy is really going to ruin the reputation handling communication this way.

I had an issue with the BB2 camera. It was handled quickly, no hassles and I received a whole new one (I would have been happy with just a new camera) within a week.

We had a problem with our camera, not charging. I called Birdbuddy and within a week we had a new camera and charging cable. Excellent service.

The process of replacing the plastic front container was easy and the replacement came quick.

I truly enjoy my bird buddies. I have had a couple issues with my hummingbird, but the customer service has been excellent and the issues have been resolved.

This company has always been to notch at standing behind their product. Thanks for helping us solve our problem.

The company's customer service is exceptional and unparalleled. In my experience with many companies, I have not seen customer service that responds to inquiries more promptly and addresses them in a way that leaves customers with a positive, satisfying experience.

Bought my bird buddy for the wife since she loves watching birds. Been enjoying the bird buddy for years and the app as well as the bird feeder is amazing to have! The price per year isn't bad and the customer service is great helping me for whenever troubles happen with the bird buddy! Definitely recommend to have one!

I emailed Bird Buddy to tell them of my broken “hatch”door on my bird feeder. They answered quickly. Needed a day or so to investigate. They kept me informed while they processed, got back to me quickly and said the part had been shipped. Easy peasy!

Quick response to my email from your team. Provided knowledge on what to do in order to fix the issue. They stayed in touch until the issue was resolved.

My camera quit working and your customer service was INSTANT although it was a holiday weekend

When we had a product concern, Birdbuddy responded quickly to my inquiry and resolved the issue within 24 hours. My family and I love spending time together and learning about the all of the birds. Don’t buy. The app uses your family as the sales pitch.

$239.99 feeder. A family member requests livestream access, you get a notification with an “Approve access” button. Tapping it doesn’t approve anything — it opens a $98.99/year paywall. No warning before you tap.

Dark pattern.

After reaching out with a couple of concerns regarding my bird buddy, the staff completely resolved all problems, I couldn't be more happier.
