Holiday shipping was delayed, but customer service was top-notch and kept me updated. The lights are fantastic - easy to install, great app, and lovely colors. Worth the wait!

Got these for the lounge last month - they're brilliant! Dead easy to set up and works great with Alexa. Pricier than regular bulbs, but I get what I pay for.

These living room lights are a breeze to set up! The app runs smoothly, with no glitches like my old smart lights. Might grab some for the bedroom too.

Shipping took a week but worth the wait. These lights transformed my apartment into a cozy haven. Connecting to Alexa via the app is a breeze.

The shipping was slower than Amazon, but totally worth it! Customer service kept me in the loop about delays. Super happy with my purchase!

Appalling customer service, unacceptable delays of product
No delivery updates, well overdue for delivery, chase the company for an update on delivery, they advised shipping delays and working hard to resolve. Couple of weeks later still no delivery update, chased again and this time asked for 100% refund. They responded by advising the item has now shipped and therefore no refund is allowed as per their terms and conditions

At point of writing this review, no product, no refund and useless customer service

I ordered a a few Moonside Hex in July 2024. Till this day 14 October 2024 I have not received anything. The reply AI generated message keep telling me that it's on it's way. This is the second package that they are sending as they say cause the first one was lost but I think they are lying to play for time... DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. You may got a package one time quickly but the next you may not be so lucky. My package was $99 and I can't seem to get a hold of someone for a refund!!!

Dont buy anything from them, i placed an order and paid for express shipping because it takes 3-5 Word days but I have not received it after 8 days. Im in Spain on vacations and today i have a flight to my city, so i will loose my order because they lie with the shipping times.

I ordered this. Took forever to receive and it has a defective/overheating battery which they are trying to tell me is normal. They will only issue a refund if you mail back to Hong Kong at your own expense. There are no shippers willing to ship an item with a defective/overheating battery

Loved it in the beginning...

Have had this for a few months now.

In the beginning it did connect to my wifi, now it doesn't at all.
It stays on connected/green status and then never connects.
Only can use it through Bluetooth now.
It shouldn't say it has wifi when it doesn't work

I kickstarted the Moonside MagLite project
which closed Sep 2023 with a project Nov 23 shipping date.

Since then, Moonside has been very poor at communicating updates. They have issued what appear to be bogus shipping notices (the notices are real, but the accessories and products never seem to arrive to anyone). Responses to customers asking for more details receive generic responses to delay and deflect - including several cases where Moonside claim the items were "signed for" but the recipient never received the item and attempts to clarify what was shipped and to what address have been met with deflection.

In addition, they now appear to be selling this product to consumers having never fulfilled their backers shipments, and it is yet to be proven these new sales are actually resulting in the item being shipped. There are no validated user reviews, no images of backers or purchasers receiving the item in the wild. It would seem it's vaporware and the company is stringing along customers far enough that they can't rescind their payments.
Lesson learned about whom to support with Kickstarters - but it appears Moonside MagLite is a scam. DO NOT BUY!

I know these guys have gad a bad rap but i had a Absolutely brilliant experience with moonside the light hose light is Brilliant and i got loads of emails along the way and very very happy the lights are wicked x thank you moonside :-)

Ich habe mir am 09.07.2022 das doppel-Pack Moonside Neon Lighthouse von der Website gekauft.
Leider habe ich kein Update nach der bestätigungs-E-Mail von Moonside bekommen.
Am 30.07.2022 habe ich dann beim Support angefragt weil sich der Status nicht aktualisiert hat. Einen Tag später habe ich eine Rückmeldung bekommen und zwei Wochen später sind dann auch beide Lampen unbeschädigt angekommen.

Das Produkt selbst sieht sehr gut aus und die Bauqualität fühlt sich gut an. Auch nach mehr als einem Jahr hält die Lampe ohne irgendwelche Schäden oder neuen Problemen.
Die beinhalteten Steckdosen-USB-Adapter summen mittlerweile lauter als meine anderen Stecker.

Die Software ist leider sehr rudimentär und umständlich. Manchmal reagiert die Lampe nicht und man muss den Strom zur Lampe an- und ausschalten.

Smart-Home soll scheinbar mit Google Home, IFTTT und Alexa funktionieren. Habe es leider mit keiner dieser "Integrationen" hinbekommen (bei beiden Lampen, welche mit WLAN verbunden sind).
Auch eine "no-cloud" Lösung gibt es soweit ich weiß nicht. Falls man offline ist, gibt es keine Möglichkeit außer mit Bluetooth die Lampen mit Smart-Home oder dem Handy zu steuern (es gibt einen Schalter am Kabel direkt).
Zu diesem Thema habe ich bereits zwei Mal den Support angeschrieben, habe aber (noch) keine Rückmeldung bekommen.

Ich habe die Moonside Lamp 1 gekauft und bis das Paket endlich bei mir ankam sind 1 ganzer Monat und drei Tage vergangen. Wäre an sich ja nicht so schlimm gewesen wäre es das Warten wert gewesen. Doch das war es nicht. Denn schon nach 5 Minuten testen funktionierten die LEDs nicht mehr richtig. Alle waren kaputt außer ein kleiner Teil ganz hinten an der Lampe wo der Stecker ist. Sonst funktionierte gar nichts. Beim zurücksenden muss man den Versand natürlich auch noch selber zahlen und das nach China. Kann ja mal teuer werden.

Bitte dort nicht einkaufen. Einfach nur billig hergestellter Müll. Nicht empfehlenswert.

The lighthouse is a great light and the lamp is majestical. Shipping took 7 days and everything great with order. No problems here so I don’t know why all the bad reviews and as none of that is my experience. Customer service is great and replied to me within a day or so and they answered all my questions. About to buy again from them as their products are as good quality as Govee and probably even better on some respects.

It took one month and a half, many emails and a report to Paypal to get one order.

I ordered a Moonside Hex on September 15th, the site said "8-11 business days". Shipment tracking was frozen for more than a month.
After 4 emails with some apparently AI-generated replies, and above all a report to Paypal (I think that was what changed the situation) I finally received what I ordered on October 26th.

I tried the product, it seems to be working fine.
Wouldn't recommend overall for the terrible customer experience.

I was nervous about ordering from moonside after Reading the ratings on trustpilot - but everything went smooth. I bought Neon Hex LED and it arrived Yesterday. I Got a shipment link so I could follow my order all the Way.

They don't deliver anything and won't cancel or refund either. Plus they delete all comments on instagram and their website and will blatantly ghost you when you try to ask about your shipment through email and instagram posts.

I ordered the Neon Hex which is an okayish product in comparison to products from big names like Nanoleaf or Govee. It took almost 2 month to arrive but that's no big deal for me since deliveries from China to european countries are often a little late.

Quality wise it's a mixed bag. It doesn't look and feel SUPER cheap but some panels have slight scratches and the AC plug was dirty.
The biggest problem is one panel that had a faulty LED right out the box. I contacted the customer service and never received an answer. Then I posted a complaint under an Instagram post.
My post got deleted but they dm'd me and promised me a replacement. This was in January.
I have not received anything. I double-checked but all I'm getting are automated responses that "team members will get back to me as soon as possible"
Yeah. They don't.
Every once in a while I check their Instagram and there are more people complaining but their comments also get deleted on a regular bases.
I would not recommend ordering anything from Moonside design unless you REALLY like their products and are okay with quality issues and no customer support.
