My experience with your service over the past 11 months has been extremely poor and has caused me significant distress.

It has taken 11 months for my case to still not be properly organised, which is wholly unacceptable. Throughout this process, there have been serious administrative errors, including the duplication of my accounts on your system. This has repeatedly resulted in call handlers accessing incorrect information, leaving me having to explain my situation over and over again and causing unnecessary confusion and delays.

In addition, I have arranged 12 separate telephone appointments in an effort to progress my application. On each occasion, I was told I would receive a call, and yet no one contacted me. This repeated failure to follow through on agreed appointments demonstrates a complete lack of care and professionalism in handling my case.

Over the last 11 months, I have also spent in excess of 40 hours on hold simply trying to speak to someone about my case. This is an unreasonable amount of time to spend chasing a service that should have been properly managed from the outset. I have repeatedly had to pursue updates myself, only to be met with further delays, incorrect information, and no meaningful progress.

The cumulative impact of these failures has been severe. The prolonged delays, misinformation, missed appointments, and the excessive amount of time I have had to spend trying to make contact have had a detrimental effect on my mental health. The stress and anxiety caused by this situation have become overwhelming, and there have been times during this process when I have felt suicidal as a direct result of the distress your handling of my case has caused.

I believe the service I have received falls far below an acceptable standard. I expect a full explanation as to why my case has been mishandled for such a prolonged period, why duplicate accounts were created, why 12 scheduled calls were missed without any contact or resolution, and why I have had to spend over 40 hours on hold just to try to access support.

I also request that my complaint be treated with urgency and that my case is reviewed immediately by a senior member of staff. I expect a written response outlining what action will now be taken to resolve my application without further delay.

Many thanks to Emma and all the team at Money wellness. I recently applied for a DRO and it got approved today. At first there was a issue with a few of my debts showing the wrong amounts as my credit score had not been updated yet but this has now been amended for me and i would like to thank the team and say that i am very grateful to them all.

This is not a good start but soon resolved

This is not a good start! Only just signed up and wanted to find out the progress - I have been trying to call for three days and emailed also with not one reply!

I am starting to get very worried about my case and that this company is not legit

So since my review it seems that I may have jumped the gun, they have contacted me and explained the progress, asked for further information and I am currently happy with their service. I hope that my case will be sorted soon.

I wanted to contact someone after my dro and couldnt get to speak to anyone as i had an issue with the dro i emailed 3 times and no one as ever got back to me

I was meant to have an appointment to finalise things. The guy stated they missed a step so someone will contact me back, yet no one has contacted me back . Four times I've made arrangements to have a call back from these people. They were me t to call me to day and I've waited and waited and tried to call them and nothing I don't know how to deal with the debts and needed advice and have been left with no help

In the 70 years of my life so far, I’ve made some good and some bad decisions like most people

Absolutely horrendous

Absolutely horrendous. Both me and my partner were setting up a DRO, mine has been confirmed and set up however my partner never got his call back. We called an hour before his phone call to confirm they had the correct number and that they would definitely call him to which they confirmed yet nothing came through.
We have called every single day for 2 weeks straight yet after being on hold for over 2 hours at a time we give up. We’ve pressed the option for a call back but again, nothing. We have emailed all the email addresses we can find but they all have automated responses and don’t actually do anything.
We’re now at the end of our ‘breathing space’ and are expecting the companies we owe money to start getting back in touch. For an already stressful time they are making it so much worse! It’s literally impossible to speak to someone.

Excellent first impression, terrible follow-up and unacceptable communication

I rarely leave reviews, but after my recent experience I feel people should know what to expect.

I contacted Money Wellness to arrange a Debt Management Plan because I was already under financial pressure and needed proper support. The first phone call lasted around an hour and initially gave me confidence. The adviser (rebecca) was polite, explained the different debt solutions, talked through my situation in detail, and made it sound like the process would be handled smoothly.

Unfortunately, everything after that was disappointing.

I was told I would receive an email after the call with the next steps and documents. That email never arrived. I then spent days trying to contact them again by phone with little success. Eventually, around a week later, they contacted me and admitted there had been a mistake on their side with the email process.

They then sent the documents, but the paperwork created even more confusion. I was expecting something clear to sign so the Debt Management Plan could begin, but instead I received a long document explaining the process with no obvious place to sign, no clear instructions, and no indication of what was required from me.

I tried emailing for clarification and received no response. I tried calling again and was left on hold for a very long time before giving up. At a time when creditors are already chasing me and stress levels are high, being ignored and left in limbo is the last thing anyone needs.

My Debt Management Plan was supposed to start today, yet I still have no confidence that anything has actually been set up properly. No clear communication, no timely updates, no easy way to speak to someone, and no reassurance while creditors continue contacting me.

The most frustrating part is that debt advice services deal with vulnerable people who are already anxious. Communication, accuracy and reliability should be the absolute minimum standard.

Based on my experience, the initial call was professional, but the follow-up service has been poor, disorganised and stressful. I hope this review encourages them to improve their communication and case handling because people contacting them are often already in difficult situations.

Overall great

My experience was great with the person I spoke with the only issue is with IT I kept getting messages when I already done it but that wasn’t much of a problem as I kept getting lots of messages from creators, MW helped with my DRO and guided me and simplified things I did not understand and the weight of my shoulders as soon as I finish that phone call and now no I don’t get any emails or messages from creditors thanks again
