Although it was was not the right app for me, it had an good customer service. I had some billing issues, but it was fixed quickly.

Recipes are generally good

Subscription is worth the money! Customer service is wonderful, and the app flows well into the recipes I’m making. Absolutely love it.

Great tasting, easy-to-follow recipes. I love the built-in shopping list feature, which automatically suggests receipes that work well with others you have picked for the week (eg ones that use the same ingredients). Well worth the price of an annual subscription - I used to spend the same amount on lunches and coffees for work each week, now I bring everything in home-made!

I followed the link through Instagram to a free trial but then when you try to cancel this through Apple it won’t cancel the free trial as I signed up through Instagram. They also take the money before the end of the 7 days free trial that was stated during the sign up. They are scammers, after your money. I then emailed them to ask for the refund and they refused as in the tiny ts and cs, the trail ended after 5 days not 7, which was not stated in bold when I signed up, it said 7.

Further to this, the food is all very mediocre, ridiculous portion sizes and tbh chat gpt gives better recipes. Definitely do not use this company like many others are saying.

Quick responses to my questions

I signed up for the free trial a first time parent with a newborn at home, in order to try and help my wife with some quick meals to ease the pressure and stress at home. I forgot to cancel the free trial as obviously home life is a bit all over the place at the minute. As soon as I saw the subscription had continued and the payment had been taken out of my account, I emailed them to try and cancel the subscription and ask for a refund, as I had not used any of the services what so ever. I explained my situation and that I had simply forgotten to cancels my subscription due to my current situation. I was met with terrible customer service, no refund or any kind of reconciliation attempt what so ever. Shocking customer service, this is a company that I will keep away from now and I will ensure that everybody knows how terrible this customer service is.

Pretty much every single company I have ever engaged with will rectify a mistake like this and issue a refund, especially if none of the services have been used and it is a genuine mistake, why is this company any different?

Very quick result and great communication

A great app with lots of recipes and a shopping list feature that is really useful.
I was not able to afford the subscription and when I explained the situation they gave me a refund for the upcoming month which was appreciated.

Took out a subscription to help me experiment about with food and broaden what I cooked. Ultimately it wasn’t right for me but the product was good to use and covers a wide range of dietary needs.

The best recipes we’ve found online, almost always delicious, but apart from this, the customer support team took some of my feedback on board and actually quickly implemented a fix that I suggested. This rarely happens with customer feedback for other companies and I was very impressed. Fantastic service all round!

Harrisa...what more can I say. Did not have any preserved lemon on-hand...the hack with the fresh lemons really made this dish.

Nice idea with some interesting recipes. However a lot of the recipes call for ingredients that are not very well stocked in your usual stores. It is good at suggesting alternatives however, put it makes planning a weekly plan a little tricky! The app does not exclude certain ingredients from its recipe selections either, despite saying it can!

Be very careful with the free trial and annual subscription

I cancelled because I found the recipes generic, repetitive and lacking any real variety.

My bigger concern, however, was the subscription process. The free trial automatically rolls into a £34.99 annual subscription, with the annual option pre-selected and alternatives very easy to miss. Mob also says it will send a reminder two days before the trial ends — I never received one.

The welcome email gave no clear confirmation of exactly what I had signed up to, the contract terms or cancellation rights. I also saw no clear opportunity during sign-up to expressly consent to losing the usual 14-day cancellation/cooling-off right when accessing digital content.

When I initially requested a refund, Mob refused, stating that subscriptions are non-refundable once the trial ends. However, after I challenged the sign-up process and raised my concerns about UK consumer legislation, they responded within five minutes and issued a full refund.

I’m pleased they ultimately refunded me, but customers shouldn’t have to research consumer law and challenge a company this extensively to get to that point.
The recipes weren't for me, but my main reason for leaving this review is to make others aware of the subscription and cancellation experience before signing up.

Great customer service

Really enjoying the recipes. We've made some delicious meals. You can of course adjust to your taste. The ideas and methods are brilliant. Has helped us get more veg and leafy greens in. Initially got the 5 day free trial but happy for it to roll onto a yearly plan. It's not too expensive given the money you'll save not getting takeaways.
