Love the recipes and App!
Great Selection, easy to follow. And the new feature that you See the amounts you need during the method is a Great Addition.

Great. Easy to use and convenient as I live in two places so don’t need to carry cookery books. Recipes are delicious and adjustable for different portion numbers. Use the planning and shopping list functions too.

Excellent app to help you batch cook. Love the ingredients option so we can quickly choose our recipes and it prepares a shopping list for the whole week.
Recipes have generally been really good and the app is always improving!

The other other feature we’d like is a better “household” option so we can share between partners and the ability to import recipes from other places

Great subscription with lots of recipes suitable for midweek meals, batch cooking, etc. I find the times are a little overambitious, maybe allow 50% more than the given estimate.

Some niggles in the app version around the shopping list syncing between different devices.

Overall though, I'm happy with my subscription and can't see myself cancelling it any time soon.

Game changer. We have had mob for over a year and every meal we make is a mob recipe. Cooking has never been so enjoyable.
The recipes are easy to understand and follow. The ingredients aren’t vague items you only find in an international shop! And to top it off - each recipe is delicious :)

Such a usefull app ! I think it’s great to be able to search recipes by ingredients, calories, or needs.
And recipes always turned out good.
It’s a shame that videos are not available on the app because it’s literally what made me want to subscribe in the first place.

The recipes have been game changing for me in managing a calorie deficit diet and improving my diet overall. Some really great, flavourful recipes and simple to follow. Thoroughly recommend.

Love the recipes, would love it even more if there were vid’s as well as pictures ànd if I’d be able to react with a photo after cooking.

The mob app is excellent, so many fabulous recipes. I love that there are recipes to suit every diet, meat, vegetarian and vegan and you can just choose what you fancy to eat. I haven't had a bad recipe yet. Well worth having the app.

Absolutely love this app, it’s revolutionised the way I cook. I’ve been using it about 6 months and pretty much try a different recipe most days

I have ADHD and I have always found meal planning hard work. Mob has completely changed that, it makes meal planning for a busy family really easy. We've dramatically reduced the amount of money we're spending on food, and our food waste. We now have healthy, home cooked meals all week.
The only thing I would really change is to have the ability for my partner to have a joint mob account to help make the planning process easier. It would be great if they could log in and add things to the meal plan and search for recipes themselves.

Scam artists, hoodwink you into an annual plan. Mistakenly purchased this plan apparently. Realised within hours and emailed as I won’t use this. Jess from customer service speaks like a bot, no understanding, no refund, no empathy. Mob is a cruel business and I will be handling a charge back on my terms

Great variety of recipes and flavors. Really useful to be able to scale quantities. Some recipes show individual quantities below each stage of instruction which is really useful. Not all recipes have this feature and constantly switching back and forth between ingredients and method is tedious. Most recipes also have a comments section, so you can see how others got on with it and what changes they made if any.

This felt less like a subscription and more like a trap.

I signed up for MOB: The Recipe App on 22 Feb and less than a week later (27 Feb) I was charged for a full 12-month subscription. I emailed support the same day, within hours of being billed.

I hadn’t used the app at all.

Instead of any attempt to help, I got a templated reply explaining that I could have cancelled during the trial and that I can “cancel anytime to stop future renewals.”

That response was honestly insulting.

It completely sidesteps what actually happened. I had just been charged and reached out immediately. Pointing me to cancellation instructions and future renewals felt like they either didn’t read my message properly or chose not to engage with it.

I even explained that I might have missed the cutoff by just a few hours, possibly due to timezone differences. Still no flexibility. Just a hard no and more copy-pasted terms and conditions.

Charging someone for a full year after less than a week, then refusing any form of refund even when they reach out immediately, is not just strict, it feels deliberately unfair.

If this is how they handle customers, I’d strongly advise thinking twice before signing up.

I had completely lost interest in cooking - living on my own after my husband died. I have always been keen on healthy cooking having been a vegetarian for more than 50 years but also wanted low carb options. I tried a few other menu services but was fed up with the lack of variety for my dietary preferences huge amount of packaging. Not had a bad recipe from Mob yet - full of flavour and plenty to choose from. Would recommend.

If I could give zero stars I would. I cancelled the free trial and they charged me for a full year. For something I will never use, hence my cancellation. I asked for explanation they threw the classic customer service response. What kind of business are you running? Charge in advance for 12 months when a customer submits a cancellation on the last day of the free trial! Appalling. Spend less in meta advertising and invest more in your services.

Absolutely love the app. I have loads I of cookbooks and recipes saved on instagrams / online etc but the mob app is so intelligent and there’s a few really basic but game-changer functions that make all the difference in being user friendly (eg the fact that ingredient quantities are stated at every stage of recipe, the ability to auto-adjust quantity of portions and ingredients, the organisational element of compiling your shopping list for you). Have recommended it to so many people recently and really enjoying every meal so far.

Don’t let you cancel and then charge your account for £34.99. I wish I’d read the reviews on this as I’m clearly not the only person who has been scammed by these con artists. Do not waste your time or money, not even for the free trial! Customer service is appalling and won’t refund me, despite me attempting to cancel as I should be entitled to do. When trying to contact them to explain they just refuse and try to quote me their terms and conditions, even though they broke their own terms and conditions (1.) by not emailing me my confirmation. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.
