Worst bank I have ever dealt with - lost £5k of my money!
Worst bank I have ever dealt with. They lost nearly £5k of my money and couldn’t tell me how, or where it was. Terrible communication regarding the process they needed to go through to try and find it.
For context, they confirmed that the money was in their system, yet they still couldn’t get it into my account, or even track where it was. Despite me providing the tracking ID and references they needed.
I still do not have the money, a week after I raised it with them!
Stay away at ALL costs! Which in this case is £5k.

Mettle were very helpful trying to get a refund.
Mettle were very helpful when I wasvtrying to get a refund for money that was taked from my account a month early and I had cancelled the program.

Mettle response to fraud.
Mettle were swift in their response to a fraudulent transaction. I was at work when a notification came through. They looked into it quickly and efficiently. I was quickly reassured.

Need to be able to pay in cheques
Need to be able to pay in cheques! I don’t get many, but it’s a massive PITA when I do, and the only thing that makes me consider having a different business account

I am sorry for the trouble here Darren. I have raised this as feedback going forward but for now, we still will not be able to accept cheques into your Mettle account.
Having use Mettle for over 4 years…
Having use Mettle for over 4 years without major issues, today I have hit a brick wall.
After opening a restaurant last month, we have gone from having 1 staff to 25 staff in few weeks and had over 300k revenue in a month. Today was payday and I sent over £50k of bank transfers out to my employees.
The account was suddenly suspended without warning with over six figures on the balance.
I tried using the help chat box and had no reply after 6 hours, the only person I could contact via phone isn't able to transfer my call to the account maintenance team.
So we are stuck without the ability use the bank account, seemingly because we are successful?
I don't mind the cautious account lock to protect my property against frauds, but this is just incompetence on Mettle part, 6 hours without an explaination or solution is not good enough for a growing small business like us.
We will be switching bank if the problem is not resolved by the end of the day.
