I placed my order with Merrithew on March 28, 2025, paying the full amount upfront for several reformers for my new Pilates studio in Denmark. I was told that stock would arrive at their warehouse on April 23, and that delivery to Denmark would take 7–10 business days.
That deadline passed with no updates, no tracking, no apology. I had to chase them down myself to even get a response. Eventually, I was told stock would now arrive on May 16, and the new delivery timeline had suddenly changed to 10–15 business days — with no explanation. At this point, it felt like my reformers had either been sold to someone else or that my order had been completely forgotten.
Still, I received no proactive information, no apologies for the delay, and no ownership from the team. It was presented as though I had misunderstood – despite having written confirmation of the previous dates. Even after May 16, nothing was shipped. Again, I heard absolutely nothing.
Throughout the process, I’ve received empty promises and poor customer service. My emails are sometimes acknowledged — but then ignored. Weeks go by without answers. Compensation that was promised has never been followed up on. I’ve waited up to 7 days between replies.
When they wanted to sell me something, they responded instantly. After I paid, they disappeared. Meanwhile, other reformer companies only ask for a 30% deposit — not full payment up front, which Merrithew demanded.
After multiple complaints and over 20 emails, I was eventually promised a delivery on June 3rd. I rearranged my entire week and spent 12 hours in my unopened studio waiting. Yet again — nothing arrived, and I heard nothing at all. No call, no email, no update.
I cannot open my business or even advertise sessions until the reformers arrive. My entire business launch has been completely disrupted by Merrithew’s unprofessionalism. I have even asked to cancel the order entirely and get a refund — but that hasn’t been possible either.
What was supposed to be an exciting launch has turned into an exhausting, frustrating nightmare. I would have been the first studio in Denmark using Merrithew reformers, but after this experience, I no longer want their brand associated with my business.
This has been the worst customer experience I’ve ever had, and I would strongly advise anyone against buying from this company.

Purchase and delivery was great, smooth and quick. But open the box to assemble is tough. I wish there is a white glove service.

I've been a loyal Merrithew customer for over a decade, from taking classes in their Toronto studio back in the day to purchasing their equipment and DVDS, and I love how most of their plastic products don't have that toxic smell and they ship quickly. However, there have been ongoing issues with any purchase that involves a pump. This review is only for these products.
The wedge doesn't come with one; for the price, it should come with one. There were no instructions for the peanut cushion and I couldn't find the needle to pump for the longest time; when I did, I spent over 20 minutes trying to use the pump to pump of the peanut, but it will not inflate at all. The needle is very narrow and barely pumps any air; plus, the peanut never came with a plug, so I'm not sure even if I could pump the peanut, how I would keep the air in. In the past, when I purchased two circle cushions, the pumps were missing and they sent me one instead of two.
I'm waiting to hear back from Merrithew.

It was my 1st symposium so I can not compare.
The location was very nice, the Trainers we really inspiring and disponible. I met wonderfull others instructors from all over Usa. And for me Belgianwoman I had a wonderfull symposium and it will not be my last 🤩🙏🧘🏽

Purchased the SPX Home reformer, jump board, and cardio tramp. The purchase process was easy. I was connected to a representative in my area in the United States. He was amazing to work with, provided a receipt with what I needed for a health reimbursement and even answered emails over the Easter holiday weekend when my shipment did not come in as scheduled. I should clarify, the freight/shipping company, CEVA Logistics, was to blame for shipping issue, not Merrithew. Merrithew went above and beyond and helped with communicating to the shipping company who was difficult to reach. The item arrived, packaged well and the set up was easy. The equipment is good quality and what I expected.

All my questions and concerns answered and I was never left hanging. I had a great ordering experience, and I can't wait to enjoy my new studio equipment. I have always worked with Balance Body but I wanted to try something new, and here I am exploring Merrithew. So far I am very impressed and happy with how things are going.

I inquired in Anhao Wellness, a Stott host studio in Hong Kong last 12 January 2025 if I could take ISP course with them. I mentioned that I have my Pilates certifications from another organization--PAI. They said they asked Merrithew and said it should be ok.
Fees for the course and materials were paid 20 March 2025. Come course day, 20 April 2025, I finished Day 1 of ISP to be surprised at the end of day, Anhao staff approached me and told me that I have to leave the course because I don’t have Stott basic credentials. However I made that abundantly clear in my initial interaction with the studio.
Staff coldly told me they can refund the course fee but not the materials fee (she handed me the materials in the start of the course; I mentioned again in the start of the course that I did not take my Pilates Mat, Reformer, CCB with Stott) as I have written on it already. She said she was not the one who processed my enrolment to the course and just learned that I am not eligible for the course two hours before the end of Day 1.
I have pre-arranged my work schedule, off schedule, and client appointments to be available for the said course. I have lost income and time because of this.
I wrote an email to both organizations, Merrithew and Anhao and did not get a response despite the urgency of the matter.
Anhao staff told me she would message by night of 20 April for updates with my situation, I did not receive any message. I messaged them in the morning and did not get any response. I called thrice, nobody picked up.
