I returned my order and recieved an email acknowledging such on August 22nd.
That's the only thing I have recieved. No refund, no reply to multiple emails except an auto reply full of excuses - boilerplate emails that reply with the whole 'hi babes' tone start to feel fake, nauseating, and extremely unprofessional when that's the only communication you get. It's a day shy of three weeks and they've done nothing except hold onto my money.
Seems like a pattern looking at the reviews here. I've raised a dispute with Clearpay as it appears there's no way to actually contact them if they just ignore emails.
Felt really nice - well made with good quality material. I sized down as am a K cup and wanted support. Did not fit. Not sure I would be comfortable going bra-less so didn't swap to a different size.
The clothes are great in terms of how they look and feel. Nice thick material and very flattering and I am plus size so appreciate this greatly... not so easy to find.
However, I have had problems every single time I have returned clothing. The process is that they receive your clothing back and email you to tell you they have received it and then you should expect a refund within 14 days.
I have often waited a very long time for this even though I have sent emails chasing it up and also gone to dispute on PayPal at least four times after seeing a review on here giving that tip.
The long wait is super super stressful. As times goes on you wonder if you will ever get your money back. In each case, I have got it back but never on time and never without a lot of stress.
The problem is compounded by the fact the sizing is not consistent and the clothes are expensive so you are often waiting for a significant amount of money.
So I would stay 4 stars for the clothes (it would be 5 but a small hole appeared in a dress after 3 or 4 wearings). I really do love the pieces I have kept. And they send the clothes super quickly.
However the return nd refund process is so long and painful and this is the norm not the exception in my experience. My experiences run from possibly February to August this year (2025).
I wouldn't be writing this review if I didn't feel strongly about how negative this experience is. I just don't understand why the returns process is so poor when other elements of the business seem great.
Nevertheless, I will continue to buy from this brand because it is rare I can find flattering clothes in my size.
I have made four orders from Manners going back to February this year. I do like the clothes however most of the time sizing is really off and they are a faff to get on and off. Yesterday I happened to read their Trustpilot reviews and noted a large number of reviews about their returns process. Out of curiosity I thought I’d check how long it took to get refunds on returns I’d made in March and in July this year. To my great surprise I realised the refunds had not been received!!!! I’ve had a very busy few months so have not been keeping an eye on things as I usually do. You also don’t expect reputable companies to do this sort of thing. But I am currently nearly £200 out of pocket from two returns which were acknowledged as being processed by Manners. My most recent order was last week and was in excess of £500. I have raised a return request and will be sending everything back and pray it will be sorted out quickly as I cannot afford to not get all monies back ASAP.
I have sent them a email but based on previous reviews, who knows when I will hear from them. I will certainly not be placing any more Manners orders. I will update my review once I hear from Manners.
UPDATE: 02/09/25 Manners responded to my email the very next day. They were very apologetic, said it must have been an oversight and they are working on their returns system. The monies were refunded to me immediately and cleared 3 days later. They were quick to rectify their mistakes but I can’t help thinking that if I hadn’t checked and chased them up I would never have received that money back. I will think very very carefully before ordering again.
I like the clothes however my return has not been refunded and it is past the 14 days stated.
I have sent an email but I have not received a response.
If the return process was better I would shop here more regularly.
Amazing! I love the brand and what they help humans do - love themselves in their body. Excellent stuff. And fast shipping to Canada, I never Wait very long.
The material feels really good- they fit well and are so comfortable. I am also surprised at how quickly I received them.
I adore all my manners purchases. Such great quality, stretch and comfort. I'll be wearing pretty much exclusively manners pieces on my USA trip this year. Easy to pack, wear and no iron needed! Super fast delivery too. Amazing

Items are fun and they fit and I feel fabulous. I'm a size 16 and are true to fit!

I didn't have a positive experience. Had seen ML advertise a lot on socials so I bought a top to try. I didn't find it particularly stretchy or good quality, and it didn't fit especially well. Certainly wasn't worth the high price tag. They took ages to refund me after my return. When I chased them, I got an overly chummy email with lashings of emotional blackmail around how it's a small company etc. I checked their company accounts on Companies House and they're making a pretty decent living. Not a good company to do business with and in sharp contrast to those like Lucy & Yak who provide better clothes, a better customer experience, better comms etc.

The refund process with this company is extremely poor, I wish I had read other reviews before purchasing.
I have 3 return orders going through manners (the clothes I have kept are nice but had to do multiple orders to get the size right). I have been notified that two of the orders have been processed for return, one way over the statutory 2 weeks and have not yet received a refund. I’ve emailed with no response. The fact I have three of these refunds to go likely have to fight for is really stressful - THESE CLOTHES ARE NOT CHEAP. I want to support small business but you shouldn’t be able to run one if your returns and customer service department is understaffed and severely delayed. If I don’t hear back this week I shall be raising a claim.

I have now purchased seven dresses from Manners London, and I absolutely love them! I am slowly losing weight, and I appreciate how stretchy and supportive the material is. The dresses mold to my body and move with me on my journey. Plus, I don't need to wear a bra, which is a big deal with my G cup size. The medium size will accommodate me as I transition from a size 16 to a 12. Who says you can't be stylish while on a weight loss journey? I can't recommend these dresses enough!

The clothing comes up very small. I had to return all items as they did not fit, but still had to cover the cost of shipping and returning the items even though they were not true to size My returned items were received by the company 3 weeks ago but I am still waiting for the refund to my credit card

So comfy, and easy to wear. I throw on my manners tops whenever I can. As a G cup girly with a bit of an f'd up ribcage, I find underwire bra's uncomfortable - not to mention bigger cup bra's tend to be ugly and expensive.
Personally I sized down one size (which is what I tend to do with leggings, vests or anything tight) and my tops fit me well. I have two Isa's and one scoop vest and wear them all the time.

I purchased leggings and two crop tops during a sale for the first time. Unfortunately, after wearing the leggings twice (and handwashing according to the care instructions) I found a small hole by a seam. I got in touch and they immediately sent out a replacement pair, explaining that the fault was due to an issue with the fabric in that particular batch. I don’t have much money so spending on higher price but better made clothing is something I try to do but is not easy due to the cost. This experience was the best customer service I’d experienced in a lot of years and definitely made me inclined to buy their products again in the future.

Very quick delivery and excellent quality item however supposedly fits size 12-16 (I am size 14-16 & shrinking) but I’ve found it a very neat fit. I’ll stick with my new life habits and hopefully be able to wear it with confidence come the summer holidays. It’s an amazingly beautiful top.
