Amazing clothes shame about returns

The reality is the clothes are amazing and delivery is fast. Having stalked them for a while online and been skeptical about the prices I eventually took the plunge and haven't looked back. Everything I now own (which is a fair few items now) makes me feel like an absolute Goddess. Knowing the ethics behind them and stepping away from the fast fashion world also feels amazing. The clothes also wash and wear well and I can tell already items I have will be staples for years to come. They also now have a great loyalty scheme where you can earn points and get money off for your birthday etc. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the return process. Returns aren't free which I actually have no problem with, however I have had to chase numerous returns to get my money back, often taking in excess of 1 month from the item being received back at thier warehouse. Again I don't have any issue with returns taking longer than most big companies given the nature of the business, but having to consistently chase for money back is disappointing. Also I never even received a response to an email I sent raising concerns about this. Admittedly I've always got my money back eventually, thus far, and I am sure they would never keep anyone's money once an item was returned and chased up BUT expect it may take a month and chasing them to get your money back. If you can I would say buy on a credit card to buy you some time for refunds to be processed and make sure you chase them once the 14 days have past. But if you can tolerate that then don't hesitate to purchase, because the clothes will make you feel AMAZING and in a world of capitalism, patriarchy and profit before people they are getting it almost right! And hey, no ones perfect!

I ordered some items

I ordered some items, which arrived within about two days. They were expensive but of great quality.

I wanted to return an item and emailed, but received no response. I then checked Trustpilot for reviews and became worried I wouldn't get a refund.

About a week later, someone responded to my email (as their policy states it takes a period of time for a small business to respond to emails). The person who contacted me was very helpful and polite. I returned one of the three items I had ordered and received my refund within a week of them receiving the item.

I can't wait to wear my jumpsuit, it looks fantastic!

The hype is real

The hype is real! I can not tell you how good it feels to have this exceed my expectations. I'd seen a few people I follow online loving this brand, so I've been browsing for a while. So, so glad I finally purchased. Feel so hot when I wear it!

Fraudulent business practices

I love the clothing from this company and have ordered from them multiple times. However, I received a random charge to my account last week (March 2026) from FedEx and when I contacted them to understand this charge I was told Manners London was charging me extra shipping for an order I placed in September 2025. This business did not notify me of this extra charge and simply charged my credit card I had initially used to make my purchase last year (which included excess fees for shipping already). I attempted to contact the business to dispute this charge and did not hear back. This is shady/fraudulent business practice on their part - so they have lost a repeat customer. I write this as a warning to other customers- you may get charged a random hefty sum from this business in 6 months and never receive an explanation. This should be unacceptable. I am still fighting it.

We are so sorry to hear of your experience with this order. We have responded to your email on 26th March requesting more information as we are not sure why these charges have been sent to you from FedEx. To date we are yet to hear back from you.

Please be assured that these charges have not come directly from us and we have not instructed FedEx to invoice you in this way.

The tariffs and customs charges relating to outbound shipments from our warehouse in the UK to US addresses were the responsibility of the customer at the time of your order but this should have been charged to you after it left customs processing, before it was delivered. We are completely unsure as to why they would have charged you for it several months after the fact?

We are more than happy to try and help you resolve this matter so please feel free to come back to us on the email we sent you a couple of weeks ago.

Refund not received

I sent my return back to Manners and it was received on the 9th Feb and approved on the 10th Feb. However, as of posting this I have still not received my refund. I emailed them on the 9th March with no response and so followed up on the 17th March. Still nothing! So disappointing wanting to support a small women-led business and to be treated like this. Would recommend steering clear of Manners.

This dress has given me a bit of mojo back!

This company popped up on my Instagram and I've been looking for a little black dress, so I thought I'd give them a try. I'm so menopausal, nothing fits, I feel dreadful, don't feel sexy anymore and I can't wait to get home and get out of whatever I've managed to squeeze myself into because it's so uncomfortable.
I ordered the Asri midi-dress in black, hoping I could wear it for a meal this weekend. Ordered on Friday and it arrived Monday morning. Well what can I say, I'm absolutely delighted! It looks absolutely amazing! It's so comfortable, but my boobs look epic and I definitely don't need to wear a bra with it. I actually have a waist back in this dress, I'm so excited to get some heels on and actually feel a bit more like my old self before I gained 3 stone and constantly feel hot, sweaty and trussed up in clothes that don't fit me properly. I shall be ordering every colour and I have my eye on the tracksuit you have just brought out come pay day. Thank you so much for making me feel nice again, my new favourite brand I'll be ordering everything!

Great company, bad returns experience

I really want to support this company as a small business, and because I think their values and size inclusivity are great. Sizing is hard to get right so I could forgive them if the sizes were a bit off - I ordered several sizes, and I checked their returns policy before ordering. Several items did not fit as expected but a few tops did and were extremely comfortable, flattering, and well made.

However, I was unpleasantly surprised this week when I realised that a return I sent in December 2025 still had not been refunded, despite the returns portal stating it had been processed. I sent an email to chase and they have got back to me saying the refund will be issued with a time frame. I can't help thinking that if I never chased it I would just never have received my refund. I'll wait and see if it arrives now.

Manners, I want to love you but you have to sort out this returns problem! It's not truly size inclusive if you don't have a good returns process, since clothes are bound to fit different bodies differently and returns are inevitable!

Why can't I get a reply from your email…

Why can't I get a reply from your email address? Returned an item, but no email, no refund, no-one to contact. Just radio silence!!! I've been a good customer but this is ridiculous!! Its bad enough I had to pay to return it, now I haven't even got the refund! Reply to your emails or better still do the refunds.

We are so sorry that you have been frustrated by the communication and refund timeline.

We know it can take us a little longer to respond to emails than some of the big names, as we are a very small team here at Manners so we do state our response time on our auto response to set realistic expectations.

I can confirm your email was responded to on 5th February which is in line with our response timeline.

Your return was delivered to our warehouse on 27th January. Returns can take 14 days from the time we receive them, as stated in our returns policy on the site and I can see your refund was processed on 5th February so this is all within our stated timeframes.

The clothes and the ethos are fabulous…

The clothes and the ethos are fabulous without doubt. However, the lengthy delays for returns is extremely disappointing.

I am currently waiting to receive a pair of trousers I ordered in December last year 5 weeks ago.

I have sent several emails to chase this. Some have had no response. I want to buy more clothes from this brand because the quality of the clothes is excellent and first class.
However, lengthy returns, ignoring emails,
And delays with the exchanges for me means the customer service isn’t what it could or should be.
I am suitably put off ordering anything else.

Omg !!!!! Just received my second dress in two days and can I just say oh my f@@kin God they are incredible. I was having a bit of a jan day ,I dress up a lot for work. Refunds take > 3 months

The clothes are wonderful. The actual operations of the company are not and, unfortunately, this is more essential. I returned some clothes in November - 3 months later and they haven't refunded my money, they acknowledged receipt of the parcel, but not a word since. No refund money, no responses to my emails, nothing. But in the meantime I've received about 1000 marketing emails from them.

Disappointed.

Disappointed.

Order number: 76243.

I have been desperate to try this company for a long time and saved up money to try. Unfortunately despite using the size guide all 3 items were far too small with no chance of fitting based on the measurements.

I returned my items within the time frame and as I had paid with klarna I extended my payment to cover the refund window as I cannot afford £300 on clothes I don’t own. Unfortunately despite confirmation my return was received on 21/11, I have yet to receive a refund and have not received a response to my email chasing this up.

Very disappointing given the high cost point, I would struggle to justify ordering again as I could not afford to lose out to the return window again.

If anyone from manners sees this please could you look into my return at your earliest convenience.
