Two items bought said like new. One was obviously filthy and not new and the other was completely broken. They don't check any of their items and they lie about what is like new. They don't actually know it's like new cause they don't test any of it and are quite deceptive. Buyer beware a lot!!!

Loved the idea of getting things a little less expensive for my classroom (I am a teacher.) However, items are often not represented fairly. The item will say "Like New" or "Open Box", which implies it has been checked. However, only one picture is often shown (the original from Amazon or Walmart) or the closed box. However, at least 70% of what I purchased was missing pieces, instructions, or was completely broken inside the box. I spent more buying replacement pieces to things than I might have if I had just ordered the items new. If you want the option to return and item, should it be broken or missing pieces, each bid costs an additional $7 insurance policy. May be worth it on high priced items, but not only other things. I REALLY wanted to like this and feel like it was a win/win, but after a summer filled with fixing and replacing things I purchased, I am officially finished.

Pos company. I drive 40 miles each way and purchase "like new" item missing parts. Ill just buy it on Amazon

Watched the bidding clock wind down to zero...no other bids for the item over a 5 day period. I won it (so I thought) with my $1 bid... 30 seconds later, with no visual movement on the bid site, received an email stating i lost the item to a $2 bid. I now believe the rumors of Mac Bid employees making fake bids to jack up prices.. Done with those crooks.

I am absolutely fed up with MacBid!! The amount of fees that they love to tack on to every single item along with the fact that you have to be a member in order to return items or even shop or pick up already purchased items at certain times is ridiculous. I arrived today at ten thirty a m to pick up my items that were a birthday gift for my mother and even though they were open and others were shopping and picking up their items , I was not allowed to because I didn't have the nine dollar and ninety nine cent membership fee that would allow me to pick up my already purchased items. To be very honest with you, it made me feel rejected and less cared for because I couldn't afford the $9.99 membership fee part.\nLy do because I pay four dollars for every individual item that I purchase from their website as a buyer's premium as well as fifteen percent buyers fee!!! But I'm not privy to pick up my already purchased items at 10:30 AM once again. Because I did not pay my $9.99 membership fee, which, by the way, can go all the way up to $299 for the year? Inclusivity is a thing that everyone should feel not just the ones who can afford it!

WORST AUCTION HOUSE EVER!!

I recently tried Mac Bid and it was a complete disappointment. I purchased an open box folding table that should have been labeled damaged since it had a huge chunk of the table coming off. I also purchased an open box pet vacuum that should have been labeled partial or missing parts because when I opened the box there was no vacuum. The only thing in the box were the attachments and the bag that holds them. The only way I found to contact them is through email and they didn't seem to care and just want you to buy there expensive membership so you can make returns. I will never purchase from them again and I would not recommend Mac Bid to anyone.

I won a sealed like new item was charged almost $40 for an office chair without an arm rest and a stand. When I reach out customer service I was told they could not do anything about it because the auction was closed and I should have check the item before leaving the premises.My point is why are they labeling it Like New if its incomplete? What a waste of my 40 minutes travel time and money for something that's impossible to fix.If its missing a screw is fine but a stand and arm for an office chair???

Bypass this auction, this auction charges a $3 fee plus the normal 15% seller fee, which is higher than other auctions in the area. The difference between this and other auctions, is that Mac-Bid does not accept returns regardless of broken items or them out and out selling you a completely different item than what was advertised. It's literally a hit and miss if you're going to get what you think you're bidding on in the first place. They do sell insurance though, to cover a return if they mess up and sell you something broken or incorrect. Yes, YOU have to pay for the insurance in case they sell you a broken or incorrect item. So far I bought a canvas wall art that came with a broken frame and a patio umbrella that was broken in half. Both were listed as open box, and both were unreturnable.

Angel at the Shertz, TX location has been so helpful to me! She has really gone above and beyond to help me get my items. I am disabled due to chronic illness and have difficulty getting there and getting my items. She has really helped me out’

Won bid on 2 separate paddle boards. I live in California (son lives in Az). I was going to visit them but instead just after I won I found out I had to stay in California to take care of my 98 yr old mother so I’d be unable to travel. Spoke with customer service, explained what had happened and because this was my first purchase from MacBid I confirmed my son could pick up my items so they added his pick up info on my account. My son drove 1 hour to the Phoenix location. ‘Stephen’ refused, stating I had to be present for the 1st pick up. Son explained what had happened and that I had already spoken to customer service who was well aware and said he was ok to pick it up. ‘Stephen’ was extremely rude (daughter in law was on the phone with me and I heard the whole conversation). They told me ‘Stephen’ just sat back in his chair smugly told my son I had to pick it up or forfeit. I live 6 hours from Phoenix unable to get away due to need to care for my 98 yr old mother. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE management skills. Spoke again to customer service who spoke to corporate and apologized for his behavior recommending I forward an email. Offered 2 options, refund or I had to pick it up. We had a family lake day planned and as a result had to cancel it. I truly don’t think anything will become of the complaint or be resolved either way. They don’t care. I will not (advised other friends and family also) purchase from MacBid. I was only paying $65.00/$80.00 less than Amazon pricing anyway. Actually a little glad I found out this early about MacBids. Saved me alot of future agitation. After reading reviews that 95% of the customers are unhappy.

Used MacBid for years, not anymore! They lost an item I won and said they would refund me within 2 days, they didn't so I reached out to customer service for over 3 days and over a week later I disputed it with my bank. Had they communicated I would know what was going on. I have now been banned indefinitely because of their incompetence and lack of response

I bid on a porch Buddah Statue 2 FEET large. I recieved a 10 inches figurine. The Customer Service (not sure why they call themselves like that) said it was my responsibility to inspect the items prior to bidding. I asked if that meant that I could walk into a store and open all the boxes and packages for inspections prior to bidding - of course there were no answer to that, Customer Service just dissapeared.

I won keychains. Employees mis-marked the box and I received car parts. Contacted the warehouse, in Schertz, Tx. AI bot advised they didn't take incoming calls. A ticket was generated, no response. Called again the following week. I have a ticket, someone would call me in 24 hours. Again, no call. I emailed "help" - to get told, basically, too bad-so sad. I didn't want a refund, I wanted to return the car parts and get my keychains. Nope! Mac.bid offers NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Beware. Inspect your items before you leave the warehouse.

Giselle, Goose, and Jayden are the sweetest people! They take time to get to know their customers and interact with them. I love to see their smiling faces.

Won bid on item labeled like new- came obviously used and was missing over $30 worth of hardware and other pieces. Called to get refund and was told they could not offer one as it is implied in their agreement the items are sold as is and i did not pay for insurance (bribe) despite them mislabeling it as ‘like new’. I was told it would be assumed the items could be used/damaged/missing pieces because of their user agreement. I’d say id expect the condition to be ‘like new’- i had gotten into an argument with their customer support over this and they told me they've said this to many people today alone. Very unprofessional customer support and sleezy legal tactics.

While I’ve gotten a few semi-deals, too often the products are damaged, broken or listed incorrectly. I was able to return an item that turned out to be something completely different than the description. My last straw was this “open box” pop up canopy. To me, open box means just that. Not used or worse, damaged. Well, after spending close to $80 after fees, etc., we got this home and tried popping it up. It was horrendous. Metal rods broken, top canvas ripped in several spots like it was dragged! I’ve vowed to never use that website again. Buyer beware!!

Regarding "customer service"
I've been using their services for a while and it's ups and downs with the sort of things and I get that. But I had an issue and I went to customer service about it. I made a phone call and was totally leave a message so I did. And apparently that was just so nobody had to actually take responsibility and text me the answer to the problem. Which didn't really allow for a conversation about it because it was what it was. And they also claim that there could never be a glitch in their technology. Which is obviously not true. I was very displeased at the rudeness of this person. So good luck on your bidding, and more luck on having to deal with their customer service. They showed quite a lack of communication which I guess is indicative of the generation that I'm guessing is in charge of this.

The things I bought don’t work. The back massager, the head massager do not work.

From start to finish this was a disaster. I use the slide bar to place my Mac bid and every time I kept saying bid it put a different number higher than I was saying I would bid and it changed it after the slide. The item I purchased was marked as open box. This item does not turn on it was missing all the parts and thread. It was used. It was dirty. The person who inspected this item and marked it on the website was deceitful. It takes 15 minutes to get to pick up location. This company needs to do a better job of not deceiving the customers and giving accurate information on their website. I I asked the person that was at checkout about speaking to somebody about what happened to me on the bedside. He said oh you have to email them. Will I email them immediately and the response was it may take over a week to respond to you because we’re so busy with customer complaints. Now I know why. And you have to return a Now I know why. And you have to return an item within five days so again deceitful, misleading, bait, and switch

I placed a bid a on a kwickset lock/handle. Item was described on website like new. Won bid, picked up merchandise and it's missing the hardware and keys. Like new my !!!
