Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!
Freshness has always been at the heart of what we do. We bake around the clock to ensure our customers receive the very best cupcakes and cakes for every occasion. A commitment that still defines who we are today.
We care deeply about the experience each customer has with Lola’s. Online order - Not Fresh
I ordered an expensive birthday cake from Lola’s expecting something special, but unfortunately it was very underwhelming. The cake wasn’t moist, tasted overly sweet, and didn’t feel fresh at all — more like something that had been sitting in a fridge for a while. For the high price point, I expected much better quality. It looked nice, but the taste just didn’t deliver. Definitely not worth the cost, and sadly, I won’t be ordering again.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am sorry that you have been disappointed on this occasion with your order of the Chocolate Loaded cake.
I can assure you all cakes are baked and prepared fresh for the date of delivery/collection. We do not pre make, store or freeze our cakes.
Our cakes are kept chilled in our vans or at our stores until delivery/collection. We do recommend allowing the cake to come up to room temperature for at least 2-3 hours before serving so that cake is served at its best. Full instructions are stated on the cake box. If consumed chilled the cake can appear to be dry and hard in texture.

Very disappointed, the cake was tiny. For a slice for 15-20 people. The size of the cake for the amount you’re spending is not worth it

We're very sorry to hear that this cake did not taste as you expected.
This design was inspired by the viral 'Dubai chocolate bars', which use a filling of pistachio cream and kunafa and was created originally for Eid and Ramadan celebrations before being brought back as part of our regular cake range due to the overwhelming popularity of this cake.
We are sorry again that our adaptation of the viral treat into our Chocolate Pistachio Kunafa Cake was not to your liking and will be sure to log this with our bakery and product development teams.

Not for us..
Although the cake looked beautiful, and ticked all wowzzz, the sponge was dry, huge amount of buttercream in the cones. I guess I prefer the cakes with mascarpone cream. Learned my lesson for future

We do recommend to leave the cakes at room temperature for 3 hours before serving otherwise they can appear a little dry.
