Microbakery and baking classes. LEKITO is an award winning microbakery, specialising in a small range of wonderful breads, tarts, cakes and buns. We believe in Real Bread, no preservatives or other additions commercial bakers use. Artisan bread and pastries. We bake to order and also attend markets where the Lekito stall is always popular. In 2022 we won a Gold Award at the World bread Awards. We also love to teach bread baking in small friendly classes with award-winning baker, Keith Kirby. Classes are in Keith’s own kitchen in Wavendon, where participants learn a range of skills and get to bake a variety of breads or other bakes. Every class is hands-on, and everyone goes home with lots of things for friends and family to try, along with recipes. And a life-skill that will last forever!

I had a fantastic day today learning from Keith. The introduction to Sourdough course was hands on, informative and left me confident to make my own at home. I took home all the lovely bread I made over the day much to my families delight. Thoroughly recommend this!

A thoroughly enjoyable day learning all about sourdough. With written instructions and gentle encouragement we were soon measuring, mixing and handling dough and learning about different starters and hydration. Keith is an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher and we each had several loaves (and bonus discard crackers) to bring home. I would thoroughly recommend the day.

Keith is an excellent and patient teacher offering much encouragement. He even cooked lunch for us. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous sourdough - freshly baked and very tasty.
Hot Cross Buns were packed full of succulent fruit and had a lovely non -doughy texture. I'm ordering more of the same next week!

Had a highly enjoyable day on the introduction to bread course. Keith's enthusiasm and expertise was combined with step-by-step learning so everything felt manageable - and by the end of the day we'd produced bags of different breads!

Had a fantastic time on the day. Made loads more varieties of breads than I imagined I would be able to and brought them all home with the recipies to try myself. Would highly recommend Keith's class, it was very enjoyable.

Brilliant instruction, great company, plus I came away with a variety of new baking skills (not to mention armfuls of bread)! Keith is a passionate baker, great teacher and generous host.
The course was a birthday gift from my wife after I’d picked up an interest in baking over the last 6 months, albeit only tackling simple bread recipes. I found the day a great opportunity to practice existing skills, learn new techniques and try some new recipes, as well as pick up helpful tips along the way - all with the benefit of Keith’s expert supervision.
I’ve been using my new skills every weekend since with new-found confidence to experiment and have been enjoying delicious home-made bread ever since (the fougasse has been a big hit)! I’ll definitely be back for the Sourdough course at some stage!!

The sourdough was soft and very rich, the foccacua was a lovely sweet sour almost contrast with the goats cheese and olives setting a gently textured bread

What a great day!
Having never baked bread before I was pretty impressed to leave having baked so many different types of Italian breads. Ranging from flavoured loaves to focaccia/ciabatta/grissini/carta di musica(amazing with cheese).
Keith’s expert guidance made this all possible and I would not hesitate to recommend. It was such fun and amazing value.

Ordering and pick up very easy. Everything was divine: The focaccia was not too oily, not too dry, just right. Bought a jar of the marmalade - very special, one of the best I've ever had.
And the donuts!! For someone who grew up in the country of the original "Berliner", I have to give it full marks. Up there with the best ones I've had in Germany. Very light and airy, but not too dry, and even had the perfect "collar" (the white ring around the center). The pistachio filling is unusual but really works.

What a fantastic day. I love the small group (only 4 of us) and the personalised attention. Keith made it fun while we learned different techniques. He is so knowledgeable and personable. We left with several different kinds of delicious breads and plenty of inspiration to start baking our own in the future. Would definitely recommend a Lekito course.
