They helped me to find my great grandfather's family and his birth family! He deserted my great grandmother and we had tried for years to find to get information about him.

You were very good but you could have better contact with your clients. I often wondered whether you were even working on it.
I know that the person you were looking for was hard to find and you didn't but that's alright.

My goal in contacting Legacy Tree was to have research conducted and provide documents to apply for dual citizenship for Italy. This is in all the numerous correspondence. The Client Solution Specialist confirmed in writing "after researching your family connection and obtaining all necessary documentation". I contracted with Legacy Tree to research ancestors in Italy, specifically, great grandparents, then grandparents in the states. I had done some successful research on Ancestery.com to find the correct names of the great grandparents but did not have their birth information or town where they were born. I was also able to locate documents that stated my great grandfather never naturalized in the United States, thus I would be able to apply for dual citizenship. I am still waiting on this documentation from L. Tree.
I also needed Legacy Tree to conduct research on my grandmother as well, which they did not due, because they stated "they ran out of time". I paid $2500.00 for 25 hours of research work. Yet they did not provide any time logs on the research. The goals for this project were very specific as the goals were written by the project manager assigned to my research. Why were the goals written by the project manager and never delivered on? I received some New York documents, 80 percent of these documents, I already had, but have not received any documents from Italy as of today. Now I wait. I hope Legacy Tree will continue to follow-up with my Italy documents. To date, no documents have been received. Please do not make the mistake I did. Hire a good Italian Dual Citizenship law firm to get all the documents you need. This would have to be my next step.

I had come to the conclusion that finding more information about certain members of my tree was likely impossible. But they actually found family. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Solving Family History puzzles in Eastern Europe ( Hungary) can be very difficult. The Genealogists assigned were given difficult tasks. They consistently came up with Aces or as near as could be had !

My sister and I were really keen to try and discover who our maternal grandfather was. We knew who our maternal grandmother was, although never having known her.

Our mother was fostered at birth to her great aunt, who never divulged who the father was. She died not knowing who her father was.

We engaged Legacy Tree and the expert made some discoveries that put us on the right track and we just waited until more DNA matches came along. When more were eventually published, we had a direct connection to a half 1st cousin, who gave us full info of our grandfather-in-common.

I'm pretty good at research but needed the expertise of a DNA researcher for my latest project. Legacy Tree was able to determine the unknown connections in my family tree by percentage DNA matches to known relatives. The result was my great grandfather being someone other than a family member. Fascinating... they were able to identify the correct person through all of my unknown matches

First class experience! Positive relationship with my project manager including his advance notice that there might be some disturbing information in the report. Great suggestions as to future steps and my project managers openness to discussing the various options and their prioroties.

I spent the “Covid years”researching my ancestors. Being a complete novice, and 75 years old, I made mistakes and struggled particularly with the complexities of my immigrant Volga German/Russians line. I hired LT to complete my maternal and paternal lines into the early 1800s. Sheri was the perfect project manager, cleaning up my many amateur research mistakes, dealing with my numerous questions, and training me in the process as her team proceeded. I will be hiring them again to do a second complicated project this Fall. The first half of my report was a beautiful binder, with copies of all supporting documents and a well-written summary, which will be the foundation of the narrative family history and scrapbooks I’m preparing. The second half report is due in Sept. Their research is thorough, and it does take awhile. Be patient, and you’ll be rewarded.

Run away from this group. It took almost two years for them to "finish" my project and you wouldn't believe how bad and poorly written the report was. Not to mention the quality research. Really Legacy Tree Genealogist, for that amount of money, is this the best of what you can do? No care for customers, no insight or guidance. Bottom line, the don't care about your project. I am happy to share the report and show how inefficient they are to anyone thinking about working with them.

It is difficult for me to find the words to express my appreciation to all the Legacy Tree genealogists that assisted in tracking down my biological father.
The team found a myriad of information that I was not able to locate during my independent research.
