For a virtual self-paced learning experience, I felt surprisingly well-supported by the program. There is always an opportunity to reach out to someone if the content doesn't make sense or if you have a specific question to run by an expert. The content is laid out clearly, and the module quizzes helped to keep me on track.

A must for anyone who wants to become a professional proofreader. What is great is that you can do the course at your own pace and redo certain modules whenever needed. There is a lot of information provided and the support team are always very quick to respond and very friendly to deal with.

An excellent course. Course content was structured very well, with easy-to-follow chapters, well-placed video exposition on key features and regularly-placed quizzes to test ongoing understanding. Also excellent guides and printouts for reference, including invaluable checklists. The preparation and lead-in to the final assignment was well-crafted and subsequent feedback (particularly the 1-to-1 online session with the professional who had marked my assignment) really maximised the opportunities to do well and to identify areas for improvement. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable and valuable experience.

The Knowadays course “Becoming a Proofreader” was well worth my investment in time and money. What distinguishes this course from other proofreading courses I’ve taken in the past is the broad-based foundation it provides. Knowadays offers training across three types of writing—academic, creative, and business. I also appreciated the instruction in spelling conventions of the various dialects of English—UK, US, and Australian. So I am now comfortable offering my editing services to a global audience. The support from the Knowadays team was stellar.

Now that I have completed the course I feel confident in my abilities as a proofreader and can access the course notes at any time if I need to refer back to anything. I would highly recommend the Becoming a Proofreader course. I completed another course last year but didn’t feel confident in my knowledge at the end of it, even though I passed. Knowadays is different. The course goes into great detail, and you learn about different kinds of proofreading. I must admit I did struggle at times, feeling like I would never take it all in. But after going through the course a few times it did start to sink in, and my confidence built up. You also learn (even, or maybe especially, from your mistakes) when you complete the tests as you go through the course. Being able to contact the very friendly tutors if you’ve any queries is also helpful.

World-class coaching for preparation and delivery of a five-minute (or longer) talk. All fundamentals are covered. Streamlined but thorough. Useful for any type of communication, not just the short talk format, as the principles and tools apply universally. Very helpful with a music teaching intro video I'm working on. I think it will also help with lesson videos, live teaching, interviews, and client interactions.

First of all, the staff is excellent. They are available, friendly, and professional. Secondly, the course material is very good! The tests are challenging but fair. I feel I learned a great deal from the course in general.

I was very pleased with the course I took from Knowadays. It was extremely thorough and full of highly useful information. I've taken courses in the past (from other companies) that left me feeling unprepared and low on confidence. The Becoming a Proofreader course left me feeling confident and equipped. The cost is very reasonable, and the course is definitely worth the money. This is a solid company that not only provides valuable courses, but also genuinely cares about the success of its students.

The BAP series was really helpful to refresh my grammar education and teach me how to edit to Proofed.com's way of working. With experience, and possibly with the addition of the Becoming and Editor series, one can gain all they need to be a well-rounded editor. This program will get you what you need to be a Proofreader...but there's no match for experience.
