I went there in a hot evening

I went there in a hot evening, about 20 minutes before closing, and was advised to send an email with what I needed. I did, but the email was mistakenly sent to the Hoddesdon department. Even so, nobody replied.

I called the store again and was told to send my email to the correct department, which I did immediately. Once again, I received no response.

In the end, I assumed Jewson wasn't interested in my business, so I bought what I needed elsewhere.

BLATANT FRAUD METHODS USED & CONTINUE TO TELL LIES !!!

This is regarding the Woking Horsell branch. the manager and the so called senior sales should both be sacked. The customer service is disgusting. Senior sales acting like some estimator, that does not know how to quote materials. On the website it clearly shows the price and free delivery. i get a quote back for more than what is advertised online and a delivery charge also added when it should be free delivery, which is a breach of trading standards. it would have been easier to order online which gives me the correct total figure with free delivery. Stay away from this branch the manager and the so called senior sales are SCAMMERS !! Furthermore it states if you open an online account you will get discounted prices, however as mentioned i got quoted hundreds more than what it clearly states on their website. I think i will report this to trading standards. LET ME WARN PEOPLE HOW THEY OPERATE !!!
1. They get you to open an account, stating that you will get discounts.
2. When you Log in, suddenly the prices from there website disappear.
3. They then want to quote you at a higher rate than what is advertised on there website (never mind a discount)
4. It clearly states on their website that deliveries are free after you spend so much. However when they quote you they charge for delivery.
5. No i do not want to contact you as you clearly are a bunch of SCAMMERS. You have the quote on file, you can look at it and get back to me as you have all my contact details.
6. They respond on Trustpilot like this to come across as innocent which they are not as i'm not the first person this has happened too. It's just lucky I work with estimates daily and they got caught out.
7. Other customers have not been so lucky, they have paid and when they realise Jewson has charged them more than advertised on their website, they refuses to reimburse the clients.
IT IS BLATANT FRAUDULENT METHODS THEY ARE USING across all their branches by the sound of things after reading reviews. I have closed my account after 1 day.
Update again to your response. If you go into a shop any type of shop & a price is displayed as it is on your website which you tried to hide from me once i had opened an account. You cannot then say oh that is not the price anymore it is now this. So if i go into Currys and say i want that TV and it is £300, they are not going to turn around and say actually it is £400 and now it is not free delivery if you spend so much, we are now going to fraudulently charge you for delivery now. Surely anyone reading this review will see your bad practice and intentions. Hopefully after reading this you will stay well clear of Jewson's. A lot better companies out there that will not try to be smart and blatantly try rob their clients. I will say it again you have been doing this for a long time to your clients and getting away with it and refusing to reimburse them. You are a disgrace from the bottom of the chain to the top. Ryan and Leanne Stacey is who i dealt with i have evidence, so stop trying to get trustpilot to remove my legite review. i hope you lose so much business with this review and you can then thank your incompetent staff.
UPDATE. Jewson Head Office did not succeed in trying to get my review removed as Trustpilot checked it and knows it is a honest legit review.

Positve Experience

I ordered (online)some Marshall’s Tegula Block Paving for delivery by the St Helens Branch. Unfortunately when they arrived I noticed that a number of one size were defective and unusable in that the aggregate was exposed. I contacted Customer Services who put me in direct touch with the St Helens Branch who readily agreed to replace the defective blocks.
In all this I received most helpful first class service from the original delivery driver (whose name I did not "catch"), Amy Burrows (Customer Services), Vaidas (St Helens) and Will who delivered the replacement blocks.
It is testimony to this company and its employees that when there was a problem, they took full responsibility and resolved the matter in a helpful, professional and positive manner which is much appreciated - many thanks.

A very kind member of staff located one in Winchester and went to the trouble of driving all the way there and delivering it to my home address a few hours later! I couldn’t be more impressed. Poor cancellation and refund processing

Ordered from Jewsons Margate 7th May for delivery on the 25th.
On the 9th I cancelled the order as I no longer needed the item, this was forwarded on and I received no confirmation of cancellation.

Fast forward to the 25th and the item hadn't arrived so I presumed the order was successfully cancelled but not communicated and no refund.

I waited until the 5th of June to make contact regarding the refund in order to give time to process, and I received a response from the assistant branch manager on the 11th of June telling me to get in touch with the web team. I attempted this, and was given a generic customer service email which I contacted on the same day, the 11th. As of the 26th of June I have still received no update, am £110 down and have had to launch a chargeback/section 75 with my card provider.

I've had good experiences with Jewson in the past but this experience has ensured I will never use them again.

I asked the Jewson drive to move his…

I asked the Jewson driver to move his vehicle. I'm a 57 Yr old disabled person.

What an absolute disgrace.
Police will be notified. Company already aware. I called them in disgust.
NOTE I did not require a delivery from Jewsons. I was just someone returning home. It was my next door neighbours delivery. There are certainly no issues with my neighbours or their workmen.
If a Jewson driver is this abusive to members of the public whilst blocking a clearly marked disabled bay, why would anyone not complain. Jewson drivers are the first face a customer sees.And in my experience, its a standard set by management and it filters from the top down.
In their only defence, I was called and the driver will be suspended and an internal investigation by Jewson.
No member of public deserved my experience today. It was totally unacceptable

I don't know theese people but the manager John? And his out and about salesman Roddy? at Jewsons Falkirk have been extremely helpful even liaising with the architect on our projects. They really go out of their way to help.

Good Deal on Fence Paint

I purchased some fence paint from Jewson Havant store last month and I managed to secure a great deal. While I noticed the paint had been manufactured a few years ago, the price was excellent and it represented great value for money.

The staff was very friendly.I also appreciated that the receipt was sent directly to my email, making it easy to store and track my records.

Overall, it was a positive experience. The store easy to find and limited parking available, and the purchase was well worth the price.

Avoid this company

Avoid! They charge a restocking fee for collecting any materials you need to return and the fee is 20% of the entire order so it can be hundreds of pounds!

Been in several times now. Met Steve at Jewson Retford the branch manager. Put me in touch with his sales rep. . E mails responded to promptly. Couldn’t do enough for me. Better experience customer service wise than 2 years ago. Team were very attentive

Harpenden branch

Jake at Harpenden branch was rude. There were hidden charges that were NOT told to us. Only positive was Sarah (Branch Manager?) was lovely and helped sort the issue, however I would not use Jewsons again.

Requested a hire quote for electric…

Requested a hire quote for electric wacker plate which is advertised on the Scunthorpe Jewson site at 7am online. Noone contacted me and I rang a total of 7 times with no answer until the final call at 1150 . The staff I spoke to told me there was no record of my contact despite me having a confirmation email and also they don't do electric plates . Appalling service and I will never use again . I've spent my money elsewhere and gone with a company which delivers and collects . Avoid Jewson !!!!

Not serving customer 10 minutes before they are closing

Even it was 11:52, staff been walking away and refusing to serve customers. They are closing at 12:00 and I was rushing to purchase some timber, just to been told it's too late. What a poor customer service. Never again I will visit the branch in Norwich.
It was the branch in Norwich Cringleford.

Over the past 30 years as a landscaper I've gone through countless suppliers for one reason or another...mainly because they are grumpy *******. Ella is always fun and on the ball. Went to buy timber to make and increase…

Went to buy timber to make and increase the height of the feet on our settee to enable my wife to be able to get off of the settee as she is disabled and the staff were so helpful in selecting the correct timber and cutting it to fit in my car, will not hesitate to use them again

Normally really good but this current…

Normally really good but this current order which we are still waiting for has been such a poor experience. Wouldn't have minded a delay but the complete lies about the order are not acceptable.

Aberearon Branch
Ordered on the 25th April money taken
Delivery was meant to be 29th, phone call to say lorry broken down. Delivery then promised on the 1st as said they could use different lorry as its only tongue and groove. No delivery on the 1st.
Rang again on the 2nd and was told there was no stock for 2 weeks so how was it even going to be delivered on the 29th.

Went into branch to chase order on the morning of Friday 8th was told they would try there by best to deliver that afternoon or it would definitely be the Monday 11th. Once again no delivery. Rang branch on the 12th and they said they had rang us and we had cancelled order, this was not the case we had no phone calls and we certainly wouldn't have cancelled it if we had. Was then told again in a follow up call there was no stock.

So now waiting once again for further information.
