Jewsons ( Taunton branch)
From time to time I buy my products from Jewsons in Taunton.
I usually see a guy called Paul who is always helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable about his products.
But this time when I went in he was busy. I dealt with a guy, god this guy was rude and obnoxious and really seemed to want to get rid of me. And really couldn’t be bothered. And came across as very aggressive.
I’ve worked on sites and I’m use to swearing and banter. But his behaviour went beyond banter and expected service levels.
I’m seriously debating if I return or go elsewhere. If I do return , I will only be served by Paul.

Always get great customer service and can't fault the Canterbury branch. An extra shout out to Rodney who is super efficient and helpful.

Very helpful and friendly staff at Jewsons in Deal, notably from Ben, Ryan and Luke.

Called Jewsons Farnham after being let down badly by HSS Tool Hire. Alan was so kind and helpful, he got us sander at very short notice. Excellent customer service 👏

Debbie at the Cringleford branch provided excellent customer service. She was very friendly and helpful.
The delivery driver was very friendly and allowed me to check my items before he left. Would recommend Jewsons.

Went into the store to make enquiries about buying radiators. There were 4 men behind the counter and they all ignored us. I had a wander round the store.. went back to the counter and they still hadnt responded to my husband, so we walked out.
Very poor service

Went into the Bury St Edmunds branch twice to get a small guttering item. They could not have been less helpful. Basically, look on the shelves, if its not there we haven't got it and wont be getting it.

I have placed several orders for my garden and the service has been exceptional everytime. Form placing my order to the delivery drivers have been outstanding. I ordered porcelain tiles at a very affordable price. Highly recommended

On 28th October 2025 at 10.20am, the Jewson vehicle registration DF74 UDO, Illegally blocked the road at Briars End, Witchford, contrary to Section 137 of the Highways Act 1980, which makes it illegal to wilfully obstruct the free passage along a highway. Not only that but the driver on finishing then sat in his cab for 5 minutes, reading some papers! On complaining to Jewson, their only reply was that they try to not "disrupt the traffic" as little as possible - but in this case THE ENTIRE ROAD WAS ILLEGALLY BLOCKED, NOT HALF THE ROAD!!!!!

Good at taking your order good at chasing money unbelievably good at lying about deliveries this was the Leeds south branch

This company does not care about its customers.

Requested to hire a Wacker Plate online. Received an email saying they'd received the request and that someone would give me a call. Never heard a thing from them, and the date I needed it has come and gone.

Ordered a product online that was delivered by the Newport store. Product wasn't as expected and didn't match the online picture.

Thomas organised the return of the product to store, whilst Jonathan went above and beyond to ensure that i was able to order and get the correct product over the phone, even sending my images through whatsapp of the product they had at the site.

When I came into store on Saturday 19th April to the Great Yarmouth store it was only 10 minutes before closing but 2 of the most helpful guys stayed on to process my order… they can’t have got out of work till atleast 1 with closing up etc so a big big thank you to Luke & Shaun who need a big shout out for helping me with my order/delivery near to where I live. My new patio is in full swing today and will be finished tomorrow thank you to Luke & Shaun for asking this happen with the speedy delivery!!

Jake, who served me with the length of timber I wished to purchase was very helpful, cutting it for me to my desired lengths. I used to visit Jewsons, and Moreys as it was previously, as a tradesman before retiring. Jake was very cheerful in his manner and an asset to the company. I would recommend them for anyone with diy requirements.

Fantastic staff well worth the visit didn't know it was there been away few yrs so that's why I'm asking wen you're warehouse opened in dinnington.

I needed a small order of 5 bags of postcrete mix for a small job and telephoned Tamar Trading and Jewson's for a price. Jewson's were 50p or so cheaper so headed over to them expecting to pay around £30. I was served and then asked to pay £45!!! I explained I had a quote and they looked sheepish but changed the price. This happens a lot at Jewson's and its tiring to have to always check prices to make sure your getting the best deal. I tend to shop at Tamar, RGB, Toolstation, and Screwfix for most materials as Jewson's are just too much of a headache to deal with and don't seem interested in supporting the customers just seeing what they can screw out of them.

I've been going to Roy for my building needs for over 27 years.
Cross lane in leasowe changed names a couple of times but I knew Roy would do his best so kept visiting that branch. I'm disappointed with Jewsons birkenhead were I've recently ordered flags and aggregates as deliveries aren't reliable. Cancelled my order on a couple of occasions recently as the things I needed didnt arrive at the time or day that I was quoted.Now receiving regular deliveries from another builders yard locally that are cheaper and can provide a specific delivery time.Thank you Roy once again at Jewsons, but feel not all of your colleagues are supportive of your attempts to deliver good service.
