Normally great experience with IDS. Just frustrating that some uniform items are out of stock for months on end. It has a knock on effect with our customers and makes it difficult to run a business where we insist on uniform but can't provide it when it's purchased through our website shop.

We understand how important it is for dance teachers to have the right resources on time. Unfortunately, we do sometimes have issues with stock levels due to circumstances beyond our control but I can assure you that the team are trying their best to resolve things.
IDS FAB, DELIVERY NOT SO MUCH!
IDS were great as always, costumes came super quick and beautifully packed in their bags, but the only nightmare we had is fedex left my three massive boxes outside my door, all torn, I wasn't in, and there was £3500 worth of costumes inside

Avoid
I received somebody else’s order from International Dance Supplies as well as my own. After contacting them I was asked to return the items I had incorrectly received as it had been posted to me in error (their own error!). I returned the order in good faith and was promised compensation for postage. Over 2 weeks later I am still waiting for the cost of postage to be refunded despite constant promises. Out of principle I will not be using them again!
Edit - they are now stating that money was paid to me on 27th Feb although a member of staff told me on the 3rd March it still had not been done! Untrustworthy!

Dear Lauren I am sorry you are not happy with our service. I apologise for my error in stating the money was paid into your bank on the 27th. That was in fact the date when the refund was raised. There was a delay in paying that back into your bank which was done on the 6th March. I am sorry for the delay and will raise this with the team so it does not happen again.

Absolutely terrible company with awful customer service.
When I called to chase my refund, the call centre receptionist told me I was wasting her time. Excuse me, what about the time I’ve had to waste chasing my own money? If she is paid to speak to customers, that attitude is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
It got worse when the manager told me there is “no complaint policy” because everything “goes to her and she handles it”. No proper complaints procedure was explained at all, just a vague dismissal. That says everything about their standards and management.
I was forced to chase my refund right up to the final day of the 14-day period. They kept repeating “it will be processed within 14 days”, yet nothing happened. The deadline was Sunday and when I called on Friday late morning, it was still not processed. The only reason I got my money back was because I paid with PayPal and raised a dispute. Even then, the refund was less than what I paid.
They also make disputes difficult by dragging it out with endless questions about their mismatched products, codes and “reasons” as if you are returning a rare designer item, not their poor-quality goods. They did not respond to my email queries either.
You also pay your own delivery. The sizing is completely wrong and does not match the description, and the material is cheap and not worth the price.
I would never recommend this company.

Dear Mirela. I am sorry you have had a bad experience with us but I just wanted to respond with tackling some of the issues you have raised. IDS does not have a call centre receptionist and all our Customer Service personnel are trained to respond to all queries about our service and products. You demanded to speak to the manager and were informed that she was not available as she was out of the building on other business. The senior member of staff you were transferred to tried to explain that, as the business was not open on Sunday, your refund would be processed on the next working day which was the Monday. In actual fact the return was processed and dealt with in full, including refunding your return postage fee on the Friday. I am sorry you are not happy with our products which have been specifically designed for dance and movement and we always try to give the best value for money.

First Time Order
Really helpful & friendly company. Slight challenge using my first time purchase discount code online & had to call for assistance. Follow-up: Everything Arrived in Good Condition
Update on my previous review: I have now received my order in good condition. As a dance school, it’s important to be able to start working with the lesson books and music CDs on time, so waiting a month without any response to several emails was quite frustrating. Fortunately, everything has turned out well in the end, but it’s a pity that contact was only made after I had posted a negative review. I will remove the review now that the order has been properly completed.
Previous review: Order never received – no response to emails.
I placed an order on September 11th for teaching books and CDs for my dance school. A week later, to my surprise, I received a pair of children’s tap shoes that were meant for someone in France. After contacting the company, I was asked to return the package and was promised a refund for the shipping costs. It’s now been over a month — I still haven’t received my original order, and none of my three follow-up emails have been answered. No update either regarding the returned package. Extremely disappointing customer service.

Dispatch and delivery are fast and the majority of items are in stock.
However on occasions some items are out of stock and sometimes can take several weeks to arrive.

Reliable Dancewear Supplier with Excellent Customer Service
I’ve been ordering from International Dance Supplies for several years now, both for my dance school and for personal use, and I’ve consistently found their service to be professional, efficient, and reliable.
The range of products is extensive, catering to everything from class uniforms and shoes to performance costumes and accessories. Sizing is generally accurate, and the quality of the items is good value for the price. Whilst the company's products and service has been good in the past.For the second time within last 6 months the company has mixed up the details and orders on my two unconnected dance schools accounts. I feel this was unacceptable, and worrying as too how safe my data is.

I truely find the costumes to be of great quality. The delivery is just fantastic. The only negative is that the size guide should be per age if possible as with 250 students it is impossible to measure each child.

As far as the sizing is concerned the manufacturers all work to different sizing standards so we publish their sizing charts to try to help you get the correct size but are aware that this does not guarantee a perfect fit. Some of these include ages but not all of them.
