Difficult to cancel subscription…
Difficult to cancel subscription online.
I didn’t realise I was still paying for this service until I had an email saying my payment has been declined. I logged onto my account and there was no option to cancel. Tried to download the app to do it on there but couldn’t find an identipet app on the App Store. Maybe it has a different name. I’ve emailed them so hopefully will hear back soon. The website is designed to make it purposefully hard to cancel which is poor practice.

A change of details is £15. This applies when information on an existing record needs to be updated, such as a change of address or contact details. The charge contributes towards the work involved in securely processing the request, reviewing the record, completing the necessary checks and ensuring that the database is kept accurate and up to date.
A Transfer of Keepership is £39 when a pet needs to be transferred from one registered keeper to another. This is a different process from simply changing details. It involves the appropriate checks around the existing registration and transfer, including contacting the current keeper where required and dealing with any refusals or disputes that may arise. These safeguards are important to help protect pets and registered keepers and ensure that ownership-related changes cannot simply be made without the appropriate process being followed.
The £39 Transfer of Keepership fee also includes 12 months of IdentiAlert, our enhanced missing pet protection service, providing additional support and peace of mind should your pet ever go missing.
It’s also important to clarify that the £39 is not a yearly charge for the Transfer of Keepership itself. Once the transfer has been completed, you are not required to pay £39 again each year. After the first 12 months of IdentiAlert, you can simply choose whether you wish to continue with the additional benefits. Continuing with the enhanced service is entirely optional.
We understand that charges can be frustrating, particularly if you were expecting a simple update to your pet’s details, but we hope this helps explain why the two processes are different and what is included.

Fantastic customer service cannot fault the lady who dealt with me .
My slight disappointment is when it arrived that even the smallest size tag is very big, bulky and heavy considering it’s for two kittens and a cat - it’s purpose is to show ur brand logo and a qr code so why is it so big and heavy - can u not achieve the same with a lighter material - please remember this is going around a living pets neck .
The process of adding the tags to my individual pets account was very simple and easy to do which I’m thankful.
But back to drawing board on design and functionality.

My pets ID has moved to Indenti.pet
My pets ID chip has recently been moved to another pet tracker. I was with pet tracker who I think have been taken over by Identi.pet. I needed to update my details and Chloe who took my call to advise me on how to change my password was very helpful. I’ve now printed off a new certificate. Same chip number.

Impossible to transfer ownership of my dog
Impossible to transfer ownership of my dog without paying an annual subscription of £39. I set up a Base+ account which costs £16 pa hoping that this would help me transfer but each time I tried it took me straight back to the £39 pa subscription. I emailed them on the 8/9/26 to which they sent me a link. This took me straight back to the £39 pa subscription. I replied that I didn't want this and I'm still waiting for a reply. Absolutely shocking service, communications. Total rip-off.

Transfer of pet ownership of my new puppy from breeder to myself. I had to pay the most expensive package as that is the only option when transferring ownership. I paid under duress as had to transfer my pet to my ownership. Would not use this company/servixe given the choice
