DO NOT purchase any extended service agreement with Ideal Auto Protect. This company failed to send me any refund after contract cancellation was signed for 8 MONTHS! Long story short, I purchased a Elite+ plan for $3000 on 11/11/2021 and had my plan canceled on Feb 17, 2022. The company promised to send me $2119 within 20 business days as a refund for canceling my policy in the cancellation contract. For the next 8 month, they have never sent me any checks for the refund. Until now, I’ve written tons of emails and given them phone calls almost every week to ask for my refund. They claimed they will deliver my message to the billing department, they claimed they will issue and send the check. But I NEVER received any check that they promised to send me. I asked them to send me a tracking number if they ever send me a check, still no response on that. Account Number: 5236185115-C

HORRIBLE!!! I can not even begin to tell you all the issues i have had with this joke of a company... They promise you the world, but do not deliver. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!

Don't fall for these scammers. I'm a living proof of that. This company or whatever they call it is a pyramid scheme. They'll take your money then leave you hanging when you need them the most. Joshua is one of them. TrustPilot be transparent and shut this company down before they scam more poor people unless you guys working with them. 😀

My first claim experience with Ideal Auto Protect was in January 2021 which went very smoothly and they covered what was in their contract to cover, and the service provider was paid in a very timely manner.

My second claim experience with Ideal Auto protect was in September of 2021 and it has been a fiasco from the start and it has not finished. It took almost a month for the repair shop to receive approval to complete the service which which Ideal would pay just over $900 dollars for the parts and labors they would cover by the contract. Services were completed early October 2021. The repair shop was not able to receive payment and was told at least once that the check was in the mail. I was asked to pay the bill in February 2022.

I have emailed and called 4 or 5 times a month and have talked with Josh several time's and I have been told a minimum of 2 times that the check is in the mail. I have still not received a check for any amount from Ideal Auto.

I keep asking when I will be paid for the approved claim and Josh has responded 2 times that he will "look into it and get back to me on this." and has never responded. So here I am almost a year later writing a one star review.

UPDATE 8/30/22:
Now I am not able to speak to anyone and Josh has not responded to emails consistently and if he does respond they a short one or two word answers with out stating when I can expect payment. This claim was approved by Josh, no reason why it is not being paid and no payment. "Check is in the mail." Buyer beware!!!

Shaun answered all of my questions and concerns. He was very informative and knowledgeable about the product. I even switched from another company I had signed up with.

It has been a wonderful experience with iDeal Auto Protect. I have been discussing with Will Tarpley. Right from the first call to the entire sale, he was very very patient, professional & knowledgeable. I heard about them thru internet. He explained company's history, principles etc. Of course their rates were extremely competitive which pulled me towards iDeal Auto in the 1st place. But then I was not convinced as I read mixed reviews about them. I have a Mercedes & a Lexus. Will reached out to Merc of Jacksonville FL, & Tire Outlet for Lexus. Both gladly accept the policy. He also shared a few Merc cases with me so that I could speak to these dealers on their experience with iDeal Auto. They all said the process was smooth. I think Will went "Above and Beyond" to convince me about this policy. I sincerely now hope my onward journey is as pleasant as pre-sales. Kudos to them, highly recommend!!!

I want to extend my thanks to the staff over at Ideal Auto Protect. I purchased extended warranty for my 2017 McLaren a bit ago and was faced with the headache of an AC issue recently. I have to say that the Warranty company was the easiest part of getting the car fixed. The part that was diagnosed damaged by the dealer was not a covered part but given the circumstances and some other issues that were going on with the local Dealer in Miami, Josh was able to source the damaged part for me at no cost and I just had to cover the labor so I can get my Mclaren back. Very satisfied with their service over at IAP. Would definitely recommend them for business. If you need coverage for your Exotic Vehicles, definitely give them a call.

Shaun went the extra mile for me. I had a bracket break inside the door that wasn't covered. They offered the the dealership to pay for the part. The dealership told me they have never had an extended warranty company offer anything. I purchased the highest package they offered. This is the second time I have had to use them and both times they were helpful and attentive. This middle aged woman in Illinois has had great experience with Ideal. Thank you Ideal. I'm very happy I purchased from your company.

I joined IDeal in January as a customer to cover my 2002 Porsche. Both Brittany and Shaun were extremely helpful in getting me onboard, explaining all their time patiently. My first opportunity to use their service came up last week. The shop completed the work and IDeal covered everything they stated in their contract and paid the shop for their services. Shaun was again extremely helpful during the repair process, answering my questions to ensure reimbursement requests were handled properly. Great first experience. Thank you IDeal.

This company is a fraud with a fake Tax ID and business. They are a single employee, posing as an enterprise. I am currently waiting 5+ months for a refund check for my cancelled policy

Fraud FRAUD DO NOT BUY…they use there reviews to suck you in. For some reason the bad reviews didn’t come up on the day …now I’m seeing all the bad reviews and I agree with them and wish I saw them earlier …this company is a small company so chances of getting ur money back is small….every time u call u will be speaking to the same person. It have to be a company of about 3 employee

Shaun Michaels was exceptional to work with! He found the perfect plan for me and there was no high pressure to commit. He answered all my questions regarding the coverage of the plan I was considering and I had many! He was extremely courteous and patient with me. He made the experience of procuring extended warranty for my Audi a pleasant! Thank you Shaun for exceptional customer service while offering me the most competitive plan. I will recommend you and iDeal to anyone looking for looking for an extended warranty!!!

I think this is not bad, I want to buy a new car, they found it for me quickly, and it is very convenient, they helped me with a lot of formalities and related things, and I got my new car soon.

I was working with Shawn Micheals. He was very nice and very knowledgeable. He explained the different plans and really understands the policy’s. He answered my questions. He was a pleasure to work with. I told him the car was not being delivered until Monday the 14 - and he worked my policy accordingly.
The car was delivered (I purchased through Carvana) and there were some pretty major discrepancies from the description. The back AC did not work properly- as well as several other things. I decided to not keep the car.
I told Shawn i would contact him in the future, when I do make a purchase. I don’t know when that will be- at this time. Shawn was great.

BUYER BEWARE!! ideal auto protect is a COMPLETE SCAM!!! they take your money -very nice when you are purchasing the policy-DO NOT be FOOLED. After they have your money they will NEVER PAY for your car to be fixed, they will threaten you over the phone and be extremely rude! After I filed a claim against them to get my money refunded, they started to harass me by continuously calling my phone over and over again- they called me over 15 times in less than 20 minutes. They insisted on talking on phone-I don't think they wanted their threats and rude responses to be in writing. I paid over them $3000, my car broke down, they never paid for towing, never provided a rental car, and never fixed ANY PART of my car. my car was at the dealer for over month because they claimed they sent the high Pressure oem fuel pump week one. IT NEVER ARRIVED or even SHIPPED until after I filed a claim against them, they shipped the wrong part days after I had already filed a claim against them, picked up and paid in full to the dealer myself; it was also NOT OEM part like they promised but some cheap aftermarket part that didn't even go to my car. I was forced to pay in full to dealer myself if I wanted my car back. THEY NEVER PAID ONE CENT! JOSH (aka Will) is a COMPLETE liar thief is scamming hard working people out of their money! HE SHOULD BE IN JAIL for FRAUD AND THEFT!
If I could have given less than 1star I would give NEGATIVE 100 stars! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY! CROOKS!!!!

Ideal auto protects reply is so very false!! I never had a warranty on car prior to purchasing from ideal so that's a false statement, there were no issues with my car prior to purchase from ideal and mini can verify its all documented. My engine light came on over the 30 day waiting period from purchase, its all in my service records. They NEVER SENT a high pressure fuel pump or paid for any service!! In fact after a month of waiting they send a part that doesn't even go to my car trying to prolong so they don't need to refund me. I NEVER RECIEVED ANYTHING FROM THEM EXCEPT HASSLE AND HARASSMENT! IT COST THEM ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, hense reason for asking for my money to be returned under federal law. I did not falsely claim anything! They provided no service or product to me or the dealership all documented! Check out other reviews on this company same situation for thousands of others! Josh Walker aka Wil are stealing people's money!

If u look at Josh Walkers link and the date I purchased warranty from ideal if the problem was pre existing like he's claiming it would have been covered by mini, so why would i spend $3000 for ideal warranty? Mini extended part for 10years/120,000 miles. on Dec 3rd 2021 my car was still less than 10years old and has less then 100k mils on it. proof ideal auto protect/ Josh Walker is a scammer/thief he provides the proof.
I was NEVER notified about anything ideal continued for weeks telling me part was on way had been shipped on 1/17/22, I picked my car upon 2/1/2022 and I paid! I have proof shipping label for part was overnighted on 2/2/2022 and the part doesn't even go to my car! SENT Cheap after market random part not a mini cooper high pressure fuel pump! Run the tracking number, date when shipping label was created ect you will clearly see it was not shipped on 1/17/2022 like Josh claims. I have documentation from dealer about this random part not being a mini high pressure fuel pump and the date it was shipped and received
regarding Josh's comment #4 4.Service Bulletin, I had no problem with my car when I purchased warranty from ideal! MY ENGINE Light WAS NOT ON PRIOR TO PURCHASING from ideal!! I have proof of this! dealership can verify everything, and I am happy to provide proof to whomever would like to see. do the math about dates and you will clearly see that when I purchased warranty from ideal the feul pump would have covered based on age/mileage of my car, but I had no issue with my high-pressure fuel pump until January so why would i have had mini fix it?(see Josh's date of my claim) They did NOT COVER MY CLAIM! I DID NOT GET A RENTAL AND THEY DIDNT PAY FOR HAVING CAR TOWED TO DEALER Ideal has paid for Nothing only taken my money! check reviews (better business bureau, yelp,etc. others experience same; class action against them. check your federal rights by fraudulent companies speak up, get your money back help others!

Shaun was very good to work with, he always replies quickly and I believe he is honestly concerned about his customers.

Shaun was outstanding he really answered all my questions. I had my doubts at first but he managed to clarify everything and while he was figuring out what worked best for me he was able to have a conversation with me as well which made everything easier.

Shaun was great. Very professional. No high pressure just very helpful and positive. Had good advice about the Porsche 911 we are buying. A good experience thanks Shaun!
