iDeal Auto Group DBA
iDeal Auto Group, Jersey City, New Jersey DBA: iDeal Auto Protect is a fake protection service...DO NOT BUY! The company is a fraud...I won a suit in CA and now trying to get my money back for crap they sold me. I am putting a lien on the owners house. Please Please be aware!
Breach of contract..
I am now experiencing what everyone has experienced in the past. Policy paid in full by the way. Having electrical problems with my Nissan rogue and they just told the mechanic that it is not covered and will not be paying for it. I can't imagine ANY positive Reviews on this company at all.. most likely made up by the company itself. No matter what the problem may be and it is specifically stated it is an Electrical problem and in the contract they say they will not pay for the repairs. I will follow up with this review after ideal reads it and learns I will have a Attorney call them and the BBB contact them also it not paid for. I purchased the warranty not reading the reviews.
STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS
Let me start by saying if I could give this "company" and I use the word lightly zero stars, I would. They will hound you down to make a sale but after that, they've got you. They barely, if ever answer the phone and they will not return call. God forbid you need to file a claim, they will find every excuse in the book to deny the claim. I read reviews and should have steered clears of these guys but decided to FAFO and I did the hard way. They denied one because a service bulletin released years prior. This has got to be the worst group of people I've ever dealt with. As a retired, 100% disabled veteran, I would plead with all of my brothers in arms to stay as far away from these CROOKS. The BBB needs to investigate these people and shut this fake ass "company" down!
Fraud
Fraud, Lies, Concerted and Persistent Efforts to Frustrate Customers into Giving Up on Their Claims
Ideal Auto Protect (IAP) intentionally employs DECEPTIVE and FRAUDULENT business practices designed to frustrate customers into giving up on getting their claims properly reimbursed. My first claim was for a measly $302. First, they said they would pay the claim directly to the shop on their credit card, but when it came time to pay, they said they could not do that and would need ME to pay and then they would reimburse me. It was a TRICK! I have kept the 85 emails back and forth with them falsely promising to send the check, that the check had already been sent out, that they had sent me an electronic check. NONE of it was TRUE. After 3 months of hounding, they finally paid it. My second claim was for $674. The same thing: they said they were going to pay directly with a credit card, then when it came time to pay, they said they could not do that, and I needed to pay myself and they would reimburse me promptly. After 126 emails, 42 text messages over 3 months, culminating with me having to write a scathing review online, they finally reimbursed me the $674 ON THE CONDITION THAT I REMOVE THE BAD REVIEW! This is why there aren’t many more bad reviews about them! They EXTORT you to take them down or they won’t pay! I can’t imagine many people would have persevered so vigorously, and THIS IS THEIR STRATEGY! Frustrate you until you finally give up! I have worked mostly with Josh Walker, but also with Grishard Bagagee and Shaun Michaels. Most recently, they have tried a new tactic. Even though the navigation system is clearly called out in my contract, when my navigation system broke recently and needed to be replaced for $890, Josh is now claiming that it is not covered! The display also includes other functions besides just the navigation system, including the temperature control, electric window controls, rearview camera, etc., ALL OF WHICH ARE LISTED IN MY CONTRACT, he says that the part that needs to be replaced is an “assembly”, which is not specifically listed in my contract. What a crock of BS! No parts are specifically listed, just descriptions of functions, systems and assemblies. They are just trying to get out of having to pay and they are BREACHING THE CONTRACT! Stay away from this fraudulent company. It is a SCAM, and they will do everything they can to avoid paying you. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of New Jersey, who got the State of CA to order IAP to pay me because they were illegally operating in CA in the first place, but IAP still has not refunded my policy premiums.

Buyer beware of this company
Buyer beware of this company. This is the worst auto warranty I have ever purchased. I purchased a 4year 150,000 mile Elite+ warranty from this company in 2019. I had my truck serviced at the dealer making sure everything was done to keep from compromising the warranty. This year I had the transmission go out on my truck 150 miles from my house. I called the ideal auto protect and they told me to get it towed to a repair shop with a ASE mechanic. I looked up transmission shops and had it towed to one that was close to my location. Ideal auto had me authorize the shop to remove the transmission pan and inspect. The shop did and stated that the transmission needed replacement. The warranty company then told me they needed a inspector to go out and inspect the vehicle to prove that this was not due to abuse. It took almost 2 weeks for them to get a inspector out and the inspector stated the same thing. That the transmission went out from a unavoidable issue of the torque converter exploding. Ideal Auto Protect then got ahold of the shop and stated that they want me to authorize them to do a complete tear down of the transmission and Ideal Auto Protect wants to send out a inspector to prove there was no foul play. I authorized the tear down. Once the inspector looked at he he stated the same thing. Ideal Auto Protect then took almost 2 weeks to decide that they were not covering the transmission due to the torque converter not being a part of the transmission. The shop argued the point stating that the torque converter is a part of the transmission only to have ideal Auto Protect deny the entire claim sticking me with the entire repair bill and all the inspection costs. This being said they had my truck for over a month battling with the warranty company and in the end I had to pay $6646.95 to grt my truck out of the shop. Now Ideal Auto Protect still will not provide me any paperwork actually stating why they denied my claim. Joshua Walker keeps lying and stating that he will get me the paperwork tomorrow it has already been almost 2 months.
BUYERS BEWARE
DO NOT BUY A WARRANTY FROM iDEAL! I recently put my car in the shop, and both the dealership and I had a hard time contacting them. Every time I called, the sales department was closed, and there was never anyone available to take calls for claims. After eight days, I finally managed to get in touch with someone, and they sent out an inspector. Do you know what they told me? They denied my claim!
When I asked why, they first claimed that the part was corrosive. I requested proof, but I never received anything from them; instead, the dealership confirmed that the parts weren't corrosive at all. Then they blamed my car's mileage for being over 100,000 miles, which it wasn't, it was 50,000 and they just assumed that. They also cited the age of the car, which had just turned ten.
Finally, after managing to speak with someone again, they said that the part had to be completely broken for it to be covered, which is both dangerous and unreasonable. After telling that lie, they concluded that since three parts broke, it would be too expensive to repair and denied my claim.
What’s crazy about all of this is that I spent $3,000 on my warranty, and the cost of my repairs was also $3,000. Everything they denied falls under the coverage stated in the contract. This experience really makes you wonder if it’s even worth buying a warranty at all. So, if you are considering a warranty with iDEAL, do not waste your money on them! BUYER BEWARE!
***UPDATE
After all this, they've blocked me, then lied about it. I had to use my neighbors phone to get through, and they called him back directly because they didn't recognize the number. How petty and non-professional.
Fraudulent company
Fraudulent company. They will take your money and refuse to pay for damages.
Buyer Beware - illegal activity here
Is it legal to withhold payment until a negative review is taken down? That is what this company has done to me. They owe me for two different claims. I’m working with the Better Business Bureau to work through this. RUN, don’t walk, away from this unethical group.

It Helps
In a world with ever increasing costs, having this policy,if used timely and accordingly can assist as opposed to having to foot the entire cost of repairs.
Shaun Michaels is the rep you want
Shaun Michaels is my representative. He is awesome! He is quick to response to my requests and goes beyond the call of duty to make sure I am happy with the service provided. He has gone to bat for me when I needed my policy transferred to a new car and worked with upper management to make it happen. I would highly recommend working with Shaun and Ideal Auto as they have been a pleasure to work with.

I called to transfer my warranty to the buyer of my car and the experience exceeded expectations. My representative was cordial, patient and very efficient. The process took less than 5 minutes.
SCAM ALERT!!
SCAM ALERT!!! I purchased this 4yr/60k mile extended warranty for my car for $3000. The one time I actually needed to make a claim they made excuses after excuses and ended up not covering anything. I spent 3 month going back and fourth with them. I even resourced their business address which was a fraud also. I highly recommend not to get involved with this company what so ever. If I could give them a 0 star instead of 1 I would.
Alex Grant was wonderful
