Traveling with HTG (Ḥalāl Travel Guide) throughout Bosnia was an absolute delight from start to finish. As a premier travel guide group, HTG sets the bar high—and then exceeds it.

The quality of the guides was exceptional. Each one was not only a deep well of historical and cultural knowledge but also incredibly personable and engaging. They made our group laugh, think, and feel with the rich Bosnian history. Whether we were exploring centuries-old sites or strolling through the streets of Sarajevo, our guides brought the tragic-turned-hope history experience to life and made every moment enjoyable. Dino, Selma, Melissa, Nedim, and a guest star political analyst Sami Hamdi were what made be experience memorable, life-changing even. The tour package included fun activities like water rafting and serious activities like the Srebrenica memorial, and the guides made recommendations that were worthwhile, especially the cable car overseeing Sarajevo.

The food? Unforgettable. The carefully selected restaurants served up authentic Bosnian cuisine that was both ḥalāl and absolutely scrumptious. From in-season figs to smoked beef strips to the naturally delicious gelato recommendations, every meal felt like a celebration of local flavor.

Our accommodations were equally impressive. The 4-star hotels HTG booked were consistently clean, quiet, and comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a full day of sightseeing.

The Bosnia expedition tour was my first organized tour and it was an outstanding experience. Met some very wonderful people (organizers, other visitors and the Bosnian people) and had many memorable moments. It was truly a long awaited family reunion ❤️❤️❤️.

Well what can I say. I am not an easy person to please and now... I really have no words to describe it.What an absolute fabulous first experience with HTG! Above expectations! A MASSIVE THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to Sami, Soumaya and all at HTG! (Selma...Dino....Melissa......Nihar our hero and driver...and our other drivers....) just a BIG THANK YOU to everyone! Arranging the trip took away the headache of having to plan our days out with no timewasting or having to look for halal food etc so our time was well optimised. Thank you for sharing us your stories, and giving us a thorough history about Bosnia through your knowledge and more importantly for me personally was to make sure that the information that I had researched/watched about the 1992-1995 war before I stepped into Bosnia was correct. I'm sure all in our group returned home with something positive and reflective in our individual lives and I too feel I have left a part of my heart in Bosnia. If only the trees of Bosnia could speak as they have seen so much! The ummah of this country are an inspiration to us all with some of the most kindest, bravest people I've met. I will forever remember the mothers of Screbenica and now I have a picture frame of 'The Tunnel of Life' in my living room to remind me of those who sacrificed their lives for survival. A way to remind me that when times are hard you must keep going.

All I can say is thank you to our HTG team for making this trip truly a unique experience. Alhamdulillah we met as strangers and left as family members. My experience was unique and special. The itinerary was curated so well and attention was given to all the details. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly.

We had such an amazing trip & experience in Bosnia, thanks to HTG. We got a unique insider's perspective on the history and current realities. We were so well taken care of. We came as visitors and left with great friends (our guides).

I travelled with HTG for the first time in June 2025, I joined the sisterhood trip to Bosnia. I can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. From start to finish HTG have provided an amazing service. I had a number of questions prior to the trip and Gia was wonderful in assisting me with all my questions. The trip was executed very well, the itinerary was great and we were taken to all the best places (I experienced rafting for the first time and Subhanallah the landscape were beautiful and it was an amazing experience) , the hotels we stayed in were top class. Lunch was provided and all the places we were taken to the food was delicious, service was amazing and some of the view were stunning Mashallah, particular the restaurant in Mostar! A huge shoutout to our guides Melissa, Selma and Nedim, all three of them were wonderful. They were kind, accommodating, and had so much knowledge of Bosnia, sadly including first hand experience of the Genocide...It was truly emotional and eye opening.... They made us feel really welcomed and really looked aftered us! Honestly we felt like long lost family by the end of the trip....If you have been thinking of going to Bosnia or joining a trip with HTG, do it! Insha'Allah I would love to travel again with HTG.

A Journey to Remember – Bosnia Ramadan 2025 with Halal Travel Guide
We traveled as a family of three from Malaysia (parents and a teenage son) during Ramadan 2025 to Bosnia with Halal Travel Guide and our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We went really not knowing what to expect, and with some trepidation as we don’t usually travel in Ramadan. We need not have feared, because from start to finish, the team demonstrated the highest level of warmth and genuine care whilst being completely professional. Every detail was handled with care, and it was clear that our comfort, spiritual growth, and connection as a group were their top priorities.
What stood out most was how flexible and attentive they were to our individual needs. No request felt too big or small, and their responsiveness made the entire trip feel deeply personalized. The decision to keep the group intimate and small made a huge difference – we formed real bonds, shared heartfelt moments, and connected with one another in ways that larger tours simply don’t allow. We really felt that this was a testament to their sincerity and commitment in conducting trips with an intentionality that goes way beyond profit (though we hope you made a profit - so deserved!); but by a genuine desire to create meaningful, transformative journeys that bring people closer to their faith, to each other, and to the communities they visit.
Our host and guide, Sami Hamdi, was the soul of the journey. His generosity, insight, and sincere care for each traveler were palpable. Sami didn’t just guide us through Bosnia – he invited us into its rich history, culture, and spirituality with a depth that was both educational and moving. It felt more like traveling with a close friend or brother than with a formal tour leader. Alongside and supporting him were Nedim, Selma and the HTG Bosnian team who were always, always above and beyond; and so much fun, too!
We came away with beautiful memories, lasting friendships, and a deep appreciation for Bosnia’s spirit, resilience and love and admiration for our Bosnian brothers and sisters . We are so grateful to Halal Travel Guide for facilitating such a special trip. We can’t recommend them highly enough to anyone seeking more than just a holiday – this was a journey of the heart.

This is our second trip with Halal Travel Guide, and it did not disappoint! Uzbekistan and its sights are exquisitely beautiful but what made it more special was to understand our own heritage and connection as Muslims to this land. One of the things that I love about Halal Travel Guide is that they make it easy to explore countries that we may have never even thought of visiting, but are in fact so vital to our history. The accommodations were phenomenal, food was great, and our guides, Humayun and Nedim, made the trip all the more special with their valuable insights, humor, and great company. We had a lot of ground to cover (hello, legs!) and a large group with us, but the itinerary was very well organized and executed.

I went to Bosnia in June of 2025 (Ladies only) and was blown away but the nature and history of the country. And through out trip we thoroughly explored both. Special thanks to Melissa for giving us everything we need and guiding us through her country, and Selma and Nadeem were amazing tour guides who explained the history of their country.

I think every Muslim needs to go to Bosnia, and learn about the history there, especially in todays world. It shows us a world after tragedy. A world rebuilt. A struggle that ultimately lead to victory. InshAllah I will be retuning.

This was our first time traveling with a group, and to our surprise, it felt like we were with family from day one. We had an incredible trip with Halal Travel Guide to Uzbekistan, a country steeped in history, culture, and breathtaking Islamic architecture. Our well-planned and immersive journey took us through three of Central Asia’s most famous cities: Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara. Each city offered a unique glimpse into the region’s rich past and vibrant present. Our guides, Brother Sami Hamdi and Sister Soumaya, along with their local Uzbek team, provided insightful and engaging commentary throughout the trip.

This was our first experience with HTG, and we were blown away by their attention to detail and carefully crafted itinerary. They made sure our days started on time and we stayed on schedule. We got to experience amazing authentic Uzbek cuisine, learn how to do Islamic Calligraphy and pottery painting, and so much more. We learned so much about the Islamic history of this region and immersed ourselves in the Uzbek culture.

We are so grateful to Sister Soumaya and Brother Sami for their help in reviving the lost Islamic history of this region and making this trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to embark on another adventure with HTG and highly recommend them to all our family and friends. This was truly a memorable experience!

From the moment we landed in Tashkent, it felt like this trip was designed to connect us to something much deeper. What made this trip even more meaningful was the fact that I was traveling pregnant and with my one year old in tow, something I was initially a little anxious about. Nice variety of different programs and great stories that immerse you in Islamic cultural history

Our family loves to travel, but this was our first time exploring a destination with a group and with such a wide range of ages, from elderly parents to the babies in our family. We chose Halal Travel Guide for our journey to Uzbekistan, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
