This company is pathetic. We order our furniture from Lazy Boy furniture along with the protection plan. We bought expensive furniture and decided to get it so it could last and stay clean. The "so called" plan shows the Specific Coverage on the front page and states its covered then you see "Subject to Exclusions" on the last page which names the exact same coverage and its excluded. Such a bunch of BS. Don't know how this company is even in business. Then they tell you it is their final decision. I will tell everyone I know NOT TO EVEN THINK ABOUT USING GUARDIAN! What a rip off! Paid a lot of money for this plan just to be scammed!
I purchased goof proof insurance
I purchased goof proof insurance. I purchased a dining room set. The glass light cover fell off of my ceiling fan that is over the table causing a chip in the table. The insurance denied because I didn't physical cause the damage.They need to remove the recording that states they have the customer covered when accidents happen. They don't mean it!! I was advised to call my home owners insurance. What did I pay them for?

This company has no concept of customer service. I filed a claim for a damaged sofa seat. First issue, they had my name but had no record of my policy, I had to contact the store and have them re-send the policy. Then I sent them pictures of the damage, they replied that they could not open a PDF file, had to resend the pictures in another format, then had to send them the original receipt, was unable to find it so asked them how to proceed, no response from two emails so I contacted the store again and they forwarded them the receipt. They then closed the file due to taking over 30 days. Tried to send in new claim but the damage was over 30 days old and unable to file new claim on old damage??? BIG JOKE. One more customer that will never buy their product again.

All Negative Reviews Are Correct (Deceiving contract verbiage)
They have deceiving verbiage in their contract. This is what it says:
"The Plan covers materials and labor costs to service your furniture item(s) in the event a furniture item becomes accidentally damaged during normal residential use"
I broke our recliner while I was using it in a "normal residential use". Customer service said "normal residential use" as opposed to "commercial use". Not how you are using the furniture, the environment it is in....
I told her this was extremely misleading, she said they are working on improving their verbiage. SMH...

If I could give this company 0 stars I would! This company simply receives all of its money from scamming paying customers. I put in a claim for my bed for "accidental damages" and they claimed that my "accident" wasn't considered an accident. The MANAGER gave me an example (after I asked what type of accident would warrant an approval) and she said "If I'm walking and trip over my cat and fall on the bed and it breaks, that's the type of accidental damage we cover." HOW BOGUS and made up is that! I explained to them that the wooden pieces (which is what they cover) broke which caused the entire bed to break, therefore allowing the screws to come out and they came with yet ANOTHER excuse as to why they "don't cover" stating that the pictures I provided weren't what they needed. The representative was rude and the "manager" had the worst excuses and quite honestly there is no way for me to break a bed just by tripping over an animal and falling on it. ALL CLAIMS WILL BE DENIED SO DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY PURCHASING THIS. JUST HOPE THAT YOUR PRODUCT HOLDS UP FOR MORE THAN A YEAR!! DON'T PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS "COMPANY." I plan to post this review on all reviewers websites to warn customers about this horrible company!
Scam Alert!
Guardian will find anyway out of paying a claim. I stretched on my couch and it caused a tear. They claimed that it was too close to the seam and that they do cover accidental tears but not seam damage. These guys are crooks and need to go out of business. I will write reviews everywhere and tell as many people as possible to avoid these thief’s.

Guardian protection plan is a complete fraud! Like so many others here, Guardian will not stand behind their written warranty in any circumstance. They will find a way out of the covered prodduct no matter what the case may be. We are three years into a five year protection plan with Guardian on a large couch and have had several issues with it however they denied the claim and will not provide any assistance. After reading all these complaints I can see that this is just their business model. They are a complete fraud! Do not buy a Guardian protection plan under any circumstances and avoid any retailer that offers such a plan on their products. We will be contacting the retailers we generally shop out to let them know we will not return to their store until they drop this ridiculous guardian plan and stop defrauding their customers!

NEVER purchase a plan from this company. First, Bob’s “technician” came in to access the chair. He couldn’t do anything and gave me a phone number to Guardian to call. I had to repeatedly chat and email them. They then declined to cover because I didn’t know how the damage occurred. Just because I do not know HOW it happened does not mean an accident didn’t happen. This decision “is final”, do not contact us again. Tomorrow I am going to Bob’s and continue the search for a solution. Guardian are scammers!
3/3/‘21 I went into Bob’s where I purchased my chair in October. I was told that the “technician” never should have told me to turn it over to Guardian, it was covered by warranty. I am receiving a new replacement chair and if I ever have another issue I was told to contact the store first, not claims.

Ripped off. When I was sold the policy I was told that pet damage was covered. Today they tell me to read the fine print. They cover nothing. Not worth the money to purchase Guardian! A Scam!

Worst company ever!!! They will not replace my $3000 sectional as it is ripped and torn and stained. I was told it was covered and got the run around that it’s not now. Wow it took 3 months for them to give me an answer when I had to call and ask what the holdup was. I will never buy another piece of furniture if they are warranted by GUARDIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll know next time to just throw $3g out the window if I’m going to buy anything with them attached.
Bob furniture sells fraudulent insurance
I purchased my sofa through Bobs furniture. They sold me the goof proof insurance though guardian. Just after a year the motor in the center recliner stopped working at all and in an odd position with the head rest arched all the way forward) The end recliner started malfunctioning almost immediately afterwards. My claim was denied Ticket#7435597. I now have a $1600 couch that is garbage and mostly unusable.

purchased 2 $1500 sets and purchased the extra $200 Guardian.Put in a claim in for damaged hardware, sent Picts guardian refuses to cover! Claim Number 7364803 I have been emailing guardian since July (3 months)! I sent pictures of the hardware malfunction and because the hardware is still attached (and doesn't "look" damaged, they are refusing to repair or replace. I keep sending pictures and telling them you can see the spring INSIDE the hardware cane loose and that is why it no longer works. I have a $1500 piece of furniture that looks like garbage now in my house because we can't put the door back on! I have sent several emails and picture with the door hanging off and their response is "the hardware seems fine". Total waste of money, poor customer service and I feel like I got scammed! I want the item FIXED! Or i will be forced to file a small claims suit.
