It's a mockery and a complete mess

It's a mockery and a complete mess. I waited with my 4-year-old son in the cold and rain for 2 hours. There is nothing to pay even 1 pound for! There's no reason to organize strikes, no culture of attitude towards passengers, and why do you expect to be treated normally.If I could give it less than one, I would give it lower!

X10 Bus Ride from Newcastle

I got the X10 Bus from Newcastle yesterday afternoon which was the biggest regret of my entire life and I'll tell you why, as basically everyone on my bus got told to get off at Gateshead Interchange to change buses with absolute no apology from the driver who I noticed was extremely rude to begin with. Anyway, I got on the 2nd X10 bus - which then broke down on the A19 motorway near to Dalton Park with no apology from that driver who didn't explain to the customers what was happening and I was made to wait for over a hour for the X9 to come to where the X10 was. This company is a joke and the drivers need retraining on customer service and how to actually drive buses as when I got on the X9 which was combined with the X10 I was already on. the driver of that bus left people stranded for another hour, which was unacceptable and bad organisation by Go North East not to send an extra bus out to those other people that got stranded. I got off at Billingham as I couldn't take being on the Go North East bus as I became dehydrated during this Bus Ride from Hell and had bad back pains for the rest of the night.

Be EXTREMELY careful if you choose to use Go North East buses in your travels as the drivers are rude, ignorant and unapologetic.

Go North East need to make sure they've got buses that actually don't break down and leave people stranded on a dangerous motorway on the A19.

I've written a complaint to the company about this but I'm still quite angry about the whole situation I had to experience.

X72 to Newcastle

I'm unable to give a minus score. I left Darlington at 12 pm on 8th March to catch a bus to my dad's from Stanley bus station at 3pm. It runs hourly 😂😂. It pulled up at 2.55 changed destination to Newcastle, pulls out without any of the multiple customers on it, and promptly buggered off. Many people now have to wait an hour for the next one if it bothers. Absolutely disgusting service.

The Customer is always wrong

Don't bother contacting customer service if someone makes a mistake and gives you the wrong ticket, they don't provide any service other than explaining that it is your own fault.

We got the bus last Saturday, explained where we intended to travel and asked for a day ticket to cover the journeys.

£5.20 each ticket was purchased. Tried to use our tickets on a Q3 they did not scan, again on the bus back to town they did not scan. Went to use the tickets at Eldon Square the driver told us we didn't have the correct ticket and refused us travel (embarrassing.) She pointed out that our ticket was only valid in Gateshead, we had told the first driver where we intended to travel but he had given us the wrong ticket type.

Contacted customer service after the weekend and explained what had happened. Their response was first that they would brief drivers in the depot, no explanation what the briefing would be. When we pushed them for a refund of the incorrect tickets we were told no refunds on paper tickets and basically it was our fault for not knowing the ticket we were given was not the correct one for our journeys. What a joke.

What has gone wrong with this service

What has gone wrong with this service. I have gone on 3 separate journeys recently and none went to plan. The first two involved trips from Sacriston to Durham for appointments on 2 separate days resulting in neither service chosen turning up. Luckily I always travel early to appointments, so was able to stand in a cold bus stop and await the next timetabled service.
My third journey was a trip from Sacriston to Newcastle. The first leg of this trip was to be a bus from Sacriston to Durham and once again the timetabled service I chose didn't turn up. So, I decided to travel to Stanley and arrived in time to meet a connecting service from there to Newcastle. Alas, this bus was 15 minutes late. Now, to the return leg. I did catch a service from Newcastle to Durham which was on time and decided to alight at the Red Lion, Plawsworth and connect with the X20 to Langley Park - big mistake. I waited for 20 minutes and had to begin walking to Sacriston and lo and behold the bus passed me at the half way point, almost half an hour late. This was mid evening and walking in the dark is no fun.
I am now retired and am so pleased that I no longer have to rely on this very poor service to get me to and from work.

I waited 45 minutes for the 308 to…

I waited 45 minutes for the 308 to Newcastle no bus turned up I was going to a surprise party I ended up getting a taxi to metro station then metro to Newcastle. I will never use 308 buses again too u reliable. My night was completely ruined.

Disgusting people

Disgusting people. A driver with reg plate ex66 pvu driving go north east car tried to crash into my wife with kids in the car then giving her hand signals at 7pm from concord to Washington galleries. Spoke to women at bus depot didn't seem bothered didn't ask for reg done nothing at all told me to ring police and hung up. Terrible service, terrible company. Would love someone to contact me back about this.

I have raised complaints and I have had…

I have raised complaints and I have had responses as if they never read the complaint and they have refused to log the complaint, they have drivers that are wreckless when driving and so rude to passengers. They even have either no ethos or don’t care about there passengers. They don’t update when a bus isn’t turning up.

Gonorth east have some terrible drivers. You need to see the way he was talking in a terrible manner. I board the bus at Stockton, I told the driver that I will be stopping at Stockton. All he needs to say is that Sunderland is the last bus stop. He told me to get off the bus in a rude manner. A very terrible driver.

Want to feel like an undervalued loser?

The first question it suggested was "What went wrong this time?" This time is the same as the last 7-8 times a bus has just failed to turn up. The same time, same route. When I contact or complain they recite the usual "this will be investigated" no refund of a monthly pass, that was supposed to save me money but given that I've had to pay for Arriva busses (which turn up by the way) it's actually seen me further out of pocket but hey they threw me a free bus pass, imagine haha 73 emails back and forth about bus failures nothing changed no customer care no decent level of service, leaves you feeling like just a cash cow for them because they're the biggest bus provider in the area.. joke, never felt less valued they wouldn't escalate me to a manager when I asked. I don't know how to further express the bull service I've had, I'm not one to complain unless necessary and if I feel wronged, but the level to which this has been handled is abysmal a special mention to Ellie in the customer contact center, policy is more important than their customers, no humanity in the entire team but Ellie... Admirably useless 👍

Poor app needing updating …

Yet again 307 out of North shields scheduled for 15 50 removed but still showing active on app, wake up and update the app to show services removed live on the app

More reliable????

When the service was cut to one an hour the Company stated "it was to improve reliability" perhaps they can explain what improvement has been made. We deserve better perhaps our councillors should study the Manchester Bee bus network and take control of the buses and make Goons (sic)

The x45 bus never stops at team Street…

The x45 bus never stops at team Street bus stop everytime I try to stop it it just drives past me even though it is supposed to stop I never had problems with any other bus it's always the x45 rude drivers. It only stops sometimes but I think there is this one specific rude driver that doesn't stop if ur alone at the bus stop and I can perfectly describe him as he drove past me with a smug smile on his face.

Absolutely rubbish services

Absolutely rubbish services, so many let downs,buses appear as due on tracker then disappear into the ether, pay rise for drivers after weeks of strikes, still not enough drivers to run an efficient and reliable service apparently.

Many bus drivers are miserable and unfriendly or rude sometimes,any arguments won't be just started with the passengers,it could be the driver's fault,too. Just quit if you are feeling so miserable. Get a better job and have a different life.

Really. What a joke!

Really, just the worst. Me and my partner have travelled on the 1 from North Shields to Metrocentre a handful of times and the service has never successfully made it there for any of them. It always breaks down at some point. It is absolutely astonishing how they can charge for a service and then not provide the service we have paid for.
